what's the best juice brand?
all orange juice brands tastes the same to me.
i know some companies condense the juice and store for years, then reconstitute it later. but it tastes the same as freshly squeezed.
This thread isn't about coffee; but rather things that are related to it. Pic related. I just bought an F.B. Rodgers carafe powered by candle. even has the cup at the bottom and lid at top.
I guess this was the commoners model.
Been working on some recipes for coffee drinks.
I'm really not a big fan of sugary coffee drinks - or even milky ones most of the time - so this is not my strong suit. But, I think a lot of people like sweet coffee drinks. And I think that I can make them in such a way that highlights the coffee, and adheres to my values. So far I've only really had partial successes.
A few are:
Iced drink that has espresso filtered through paper (shit goes crazy if you add anything carbonated if you don't) then brown sugar, rhubarb bitters, tonic water. The coffee...

Good for you.
Do people really drink brandy as an aperitif?
I'd always thought it was strictly an after-dinner thing, practically a dessert.
Sherry is an apertif, brandy is for after dinner, as is cognac.
I sometimes enjoy a young armagnac to start, usually before a steak, there are always exceptions to the "rules"
>Pinot with fish
>Verdelho with duck
Im not ashamed of my choices, at leat theyre based on logic and an understanding of my palate rather than convention
I need help /ck/. I want to get a coffee maker. I need the best. I need it to consume less than 1000 watts, be a single coffee cup maker and use all or as many styles and brands of K cups as possible. Thoughts?

Does anyone here do lettuce wraps? I thought they could be nice and simple to make and they're a nice alternative to sandwiches and such. How do I begin?
>>7414671

wrap.

>>7414671
>make sandwich with lettuce instead of bread
or
>make taco/burrito with lettuce instead of tortilla
I can't say I can blame him for wanting to get away from the fast food reviews. Thoughts?

ported with a "re" at the beginning. Also a healthy dose of sage is needed to make it taste good in the options field.
Does anyone have a good food reviewer? By that I mean a shitty one that I can laugh at. Doesn't have to be real though I rather avoid a blatant faker.

It's Mother's Day in Britbong land soon and I'm pretty stumped what to make her. I'm going to make a main and a dessert.
What are your showstoppers for showing mummy you love her?

It's Sunday so...
Main: Sunday carvery, all the trimmings, get the old hag all liquored up and hot under the bonnet.
Dessert: Whatever she wants from Sainsbury's frozen section.
So I made a spice mix to put on my slow roast chicken: cumin, coriander, black pepper, meco chiles, arbol chiles. I glaze the chicken with boiled down tamarind paste goop, and then dust that shit on top.
What are your personal spice mixes? I want to get adventurous, use something like huacatay or black cumin (different plant and taste altogether).
General spice and advice thread. Pic unrelated.
I bought some juniperberries because eating a Christmas tree sounds neat. What goes well with juniperberries? Would they mix well with any fish or veggies?
>>7412816
Try them with whole, unroasted coriander seeds on meat. The taste is very fruity. Might go well. That's the kind of experimentation I'm after.
