Made orange beef for my housemates, and they fucking loved it. Didn't have a rice cooker yet so I just looked up how to cook it with a pot. I've never done rice without a cooker before, so this was a new thing to me. It turned out fluffy on top, but really dry around the sides and bottom lightly burned.
>Soak with 2in of water over rice for 20 minutes
>Drain, then place 1:1 ratio of water rice
>Raise to boil then cover, then on low heat for 15 minutes

Put in how much rice you want
Put in double that amount of water
Boil till water done
1 cup rice to 2 cups water
Works for me and many people have eaten my rice. That is just the basics but I usually add stuff after
What do I put on my burger besides beetroot to make it "Australian" burger?
What did you have for breakfast/brunch, /ck/?
I had a really simple brunch. Grilled cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, parmesan, American) sandwich with bacon and fried egg.
what are the best deviled eggs?
the ones I toss in the garbage for smelling like NEET farts and mayo
Is it just me, or is this shit delicious?

Last night, I was checking out pizza hut's menu, and noticed the wings seemed cheaper than usual; So, I took a screenshot of their price($4.80).
Well, just now I was browsing their site and look how much they want for the same 8 wings...
This is why I fucking hate online pricing. Amazon does this shit too.
>"It's because they know autists..."
Funny you say that- I got a free pizza last time I went because they gave one of my 10-topping abominations away. Delivery+tip is too expensive, cheapness>autism.
I made some OC. Also, Ramen General.
Let me know what you think.
First step: Before browning all of my pork bones I add cold water, bring it up to a boil, then remove the bones.
I clean the bones under running ice cold water until nothing red or dark remains. I clean my pot.
a quintessential 4chan title to put on the mood:
I wish I had more money, would have bought a whole bird and some more pork meat. Broth still turned out decent.
After cleaning our bones I put the pot on the stove, add in some vegetable oil and brown my bones.
Usually I do it in the oven, but I wanted to try this method since I like my tonkotsu broth very fatty.
While waiting for our bones to brown we can cut up some of our veg.
I opted for leeks and sweet onion since I got a really good deal on it, it was already a few days old. I hate letting things go to waste so I had to buy it.
I also added in some mushrooms because they add a savory flavor to the broth. Just regular champignons.
Sorry for the shitty quality of the previous photo, I uploaded the wrong one.
Continuing on, I chop up some ginger and then char it with a torch. I used this technique for Pho and figured it would translate well to Ramen.
Cream cheese is disgusting. It ruins everything it touches. Bagels, sandwiches, sushi... Who the fuck ever thought these things would be improved with the addition of cream cheese. Just looking at this photo makes me sick.
Cream cheese has its uses. In small amounts on a bagel? Fine. In cheesecake? Fine. In sushi? God no.
I can't for the life of me figure out how anyone can enjoy cream cheese in sushi. The flavour combination just doesn't work, I can barely stomach it. Worst part is wherever I go (never been to Japan) the sushi has fucking cream cheese in it, as if it's some sort of culinary masterpiece.
Gelatinized cok au vin on rice cooker rice crescent moon /ck/. Post your best plating
Back in my university days the local supermarket had a cooking sauce that was amazing.
But I can't find it anymore, it was an South East Asian Chilli and Coconut sauce (I think it was Indonesian or Malay) for curries. Does anyone have a clue what it could be, and what the authentic name is for it. It's been years and I can't find it.
Does anyone in the US care about antibiotic abuse in the meat industry, or is that just a European thing?
I was reminded of this issue in the kobe beef thread when someone said they trust American meat more than Chinese meat.
Fuck this fucking stupid pansy feel-good "no antibiotics" shit. They give antibiotics to aniamsl because the animals are SICK. It makes them HEAL and makes them BETTER. I'd rather eat meat from a healthy animal than a sick animal. Stick that up your ass, along with your fucking "gluten" bullshit.
Nope, I'm just sick of food fads used to drive up food prices for imaginary reasons. Scare the customers into paying more for so-called "healthy" food. https://skeptoid.com/episodes/4517
What is the perfect pizza toppings combo?
What does /ck/ think about pizzas in general
Homemade > restaurant imo
Is it cooked enough ?
My workhorse chef's knife is getting too dull even after honing. The problem is most reasonable quality sharpening tools/setups cost more than the knife itself. What do? I don't want to throw away the knife and buy a new one, but it doesn't really make sense to sink so much money into a sharpener.
$32 for a razor edge on every knife you have isn't bad
How do I make my own spicy tendies?
