I'm on a long train journey (yurop) and I'm really hungry but not willing to pay the extortionate prices in the food car.
Some kids have just walked by and one of them dropped this delicious morsel of golden nuggetty chicken.
Shall I do it, /ck/ ?
>>7505386
Eating chicken nuggers is already so low that I don't see how eating one off the floor is really sinking that much lower.
>>7505390
You think I'll be ok?
>>7505391
As OK as any person can be who would rather eat a chicken nugget off the floor of a train rather than spend money on the available concessions.
What's in your crock pot /ck/?
Cooking up spicy chicken chili.
>>7505354
Wait a sec. Breast meat? Why would you use breast meant for a braised dish? And why didn't you brown it first?
>>7505373
I season the chicken then put it in the pot. 40min before it times out I shred the chicken.
Should I be browning them?
>>7505384
You don't have to but it will taste better if you brown the meat first.
Also leg/thigh meat is not only cheaper than breast, but tastes better in a braise/stew/chili
>going to mom's for easter sunday
>expecting homecooked meal
>nope
>turns out we are all going to golden fatass, pic related
>can't talk them out of it
What do? What is edible here? High protein, low cals preferred.
Why is this place still in business and why do people choose to spend money here? Anyone else know the suffering of low class family?
>High protein, low cals preferred.
they should have a bunch of different kinds of meat, it'll be low-quality but still edible.
>Why is this place still in business and why do people choose to spend money here?
it's cheap and you can eat as much as you want
get nice and drunk beforehand and enjoy the show. i can't imagine what it'll be like easter sunday, please come back and tell us.
>looking forward to home cooked meal
>oh wait, i'm a /fit/ fag and only eat boneless, skinless chicken breast
>>7505295
>low-quality
How low?.
>he doesnt save hot dog water to boil ramen noodles in later
All hot dog water is is tasty fat, it makes noodles ten times better
>>7505258
Why not use proper stock instead?
what the fuck is hotdog water?
>>7505271
Jar/canned hotdogs
Is it taboo to have two bagels instead of one?
that greatly depends on what country you live in
for example, in the US, the only taboo foods are horse, dog, cat, and human.
Things that are taboo;
-eating more than 1 package of instant ramen
-eating more than 1 doughnut
-cutting up your whole steak into bite sized pieces before eating it
-ketchup on hot dogs
-eating steak with any kind of condiment
-drinking black coffee or plain tea
-not tipping 20%
-eating finger foods in public with your hands (hamburgers/pizza/french fries must be eaten with fork and knife). If you must pick up the food, your hands cannot directly be touching the food. You have to hold the food by the wrapper.
-never eat alone in a restaurant unless...

Is there anyone here who doesn't own a microwave?
Not at the moment. I just moved and couldn't take the microwave at my old place with me.
>>7504915
I don't. Haven't for a couple years.
Why do you ask?
>>7504915
Next you'll be asking if I have a murder cage as well you filthy carnist
I fucked up. I'm stuck with vegetarians for Easter lunch.
Shit, I wanted my fucking easter lamb rack.
I need to bring some dish.
I can cook, but I want to mess with their crazy religion badly and in a sneaky way.
Any ideas?
Pic sadly no more related.
>>7504767
What country are you from?
Americans don't eat lamb.
>>7504776
Deviled eggs have deviled ham in them, unless you're a maximum pleb. Not vegetarian.
Bring a vegan dessert, don't be a gay.
So who else is doing kielbasa this Easter?
I've got mine! It's a slightly different recipe from their usual smoked kielbasa - leaner and a different spice mix. I never heard of this tradition before I moved here but apparently it's huge among Polish folks.
>>7504644
yeah, it's a polish foodstuff. very popular in Chicopee
>>7504644
Is it white? Eat it with horseradish or mustard.
>>7504649
No it's not white.
Why is curry chicken the best Chinese food?
I'll tell you why. It's light and spicy and savory and full of good veggie crunch, and not deep-fried or slathered in sugary sauce. And it's not even that bad for you.
Try it sometime instead of your usual orange chicken or General Tso's!
>>7504638
If I'm eating chinese food as regular food, sure, but if I'm drunk off my ass then you better believe I'm getting some general tsos or sweet n sour pork
I'll try it next time op
>>7504638
Im am a curry fanatic. Seriously one of my favorite dishes. But that yellow cjinese curry is so bland and nasty. And ive ordered it several times, from different places. Sorry OP, i think that shit is disgusting
why are chefs such unhygenic, disgusting, obese, sweaty, stinky, greasy, smoking, anti social, pieces of shit?
>smoking
I'd never go to a restaurant if I knew the person preparing my food was a smoking retard.
>>7504529
lol'd
>obese
Because they love food
>unhygenic
>disgusting
>sweaty
>stinky
>greasy
Because they're obese
What's the best non-dairy milk?
I'm trying to cut down on dairy to improve my skin. So far I've tried coconut, almond, and soya.
I was going to settle on soya since it's cheaper than the others and tastes more like regular milk, however I've been told that it's not good for men as it contains more estrogen. Will too much soya milk cause me to develop breasts or something?
Milk is a meme
>>7504439
>no dairy
>milk
Oxymoron. Milk is a dairy product. Soy/almond/rice "milk" isn't milk, it's beverage.
>Will too much soya milk cause me to develop breasts or something?
No, knock yourself out.
>>7504459
okay, I'm after a beverage that works with cereal, tea, coffee etc.
As long as soya doesn't compromise my manliness, then I'll stick with it
Are you eating meat this Good Friday /ck/?
>>7504397
Yes because I'm not a religious practitioner.
Maybe not, depends on what is on discount when I go grocery shopping later.
>>7504397
I'm not sure. I haven't decided what to make for dinner yet. I'm not avoiding meat for religious reasons though.
How do I cook black beans? I made some today and they turned out brown and tasted like water
Ham hocks.
Salt.
Spices.
Onion.
>>7504336
This. Although I personally don't like ham hocks, but not the point.
>>7504330
Don't soak
Boil water or stock
Add some animal-derived ingredient if not using stock (Ham hocks or so)
Add aromatics (Onion, garlic, herbs (bay leaf is popular), orange)
Add pepper and salt
Add beans
Boil until the right texture
Is it worth using a whole wheel to make baked brie?
But why didn't they just put both the nuts and cranberries together on the bottom half to begin with?
I would love to know too. I've played with the idea of making one.
First time I had it, it was wonderful.
>>7504165
look, just shut the fuck up okay?
>buying anything less than a whole chicken
do you just hate money, anons?
i just butchered a pasture raised chicken which yields meat for breaded chicken breast for two tonight, bbq chicken quarters for two tomorrow, 4 4 pints of chicken stock, 2 chicken breast filets that i will freeze until i have enough for a nice dinner of beer battered chicken strips and about two cups of shredded cooked chicken which i extracted from the stock that i haven't decided what to do with yet
that's a lot of food from one fucking chicken
why...

>buying a raw chicken when you can get a roast chicken for half the price
>>7503928
i'm not obese
>>7503923
Most people don't know how to butcher, or don't want to.
You're right, you can save money if you're willing to do the work.
Most people pay more for the convenience. Personally I get my chicken from a butcher shop because local grocery store chicken is shit. Plus I'm addicted to the beef jerky they sell.
