I wanna go out to eat something that isn't terribly expensive but isn't terribly bad for me either.
Any recommendations, /ck/? I'm in Cali btw.

I need help replicating a dessert bao zi / nikkuman that I saw in this small fast food Chinese chain called wow bao that was a chocolate dough with steamed mushed bananas inside but mine ended up with a lack of color and flavor and very delicate. Is there a way to fix this?
>chicago
....why am I not surprised
>>7512257
I was visiting and saw it by the Chicago theater it's a cool place
You need to provide more information. How did you make yours? What do you mean 'very delicate'? Do you mean it wasn't very flavourful?
In terms of lack of colour, it might just be a lack of cocoa powder.
I miss pizza and flour tortillas so much.
If you get over your fear of leaving the house there are most likely still places out there in the world that offer both of those things, assuming you have the money.

You're not gluten intolerant, it's just a meme you crumplefuck
How do you cook fish?
filet, de-bone, batter, deep-fry.
>>7511980
>open box by pressing on the dotted line
>slide out bag
>remove twist ties
>place in microwave-safe container
>microwave on "Tendies" mode
>beep beep beep
Also that picture is gross, please delete it
I like to eat red snapper often. I just salt the whole fish and fry it in deep oil. Serve it with plenty of lime or lemon slices
What's a good blender on the cheap? I been looking at some Hamilton Beachs that are in my price range but didn't know how good they were.
Mostly going to be soft things like smoothies and such. Would like to be able to blend the occasionally pesto though.
Has to be under 100 dollars.
This is relevant to my interests. I have a shitty blender and a shittier food processor, so I'm in the market for a blender as well.

What Ethnic cuisine that doesn't match your ethnicity do you regularly cook and have all of the ingredients on hand to prepare at any given time?
Example: I am a Irish/Englush/German white American guy. I cook Japanese and Korean food weekly. Always have Kimchi, Gochijang, Sake, Mirin, miso, dashi, tofu, rice, ramyun, fish sauce on hand
OP here I realize I must sound like huge weeb. But I did live in Japan 3 years. I do not watch anime or read manga.
>>7511901
I, too, like to k\cook korean and japanese food because I'm a weeb like you.
I also like to fold my paper 1000 times and sharpen my 12 foot replica Heart Span Blade with 8000 grit sandpaper
Dirty mexican. I have about everything for italian food and creole style food.
People only pretend to like extra dark chocolate, right?

Hi /ck/ I could use some help/ideas while I'm feeling ambitious.
I bought a big ol' bag of corn flour to use for my corn-fried haddock (which was great btw) but I have a ton left over. Are there any easy recipes using corn flour (besides fried seafood)?
I found this recipe for cookies
>http://kirbiecravings.com/2014/11/momofukus-corn-cookies.html
But I don't know what "freeze dried corn powder" is. I've never heard of this before - is it something I can easily find at any supermarket?

I have never ordered pizza from a major chain before. Looks like Dominos, Pizza Hut, and Papa Joe's are my choices. What should I go for?
Get pizza from Papa Joe's but get the delivery guy to pick up some Domino's tends on the way there.
Dominos Pan Pizza

For the love of god this.
Double pepperoni pan pizza from Dominos is honestly one of the best things I've ever eaten.

Thoughts on the link between chocolate and acne? Is it the milk in the chocolate that is the culprit, and would that mean dark chocolate is less bad for skin?
Of all the foods I'd have to give up for my skin, chocolate would be the hardest.
>>7511257
It's the sugar. Sugar makes your skin break out, and causes general inflammation.
>>7511257
Acne is mostly genetic, if you can't control your're acne it's because it's engraved in your DNA
Chocolate in America is full of government subsidised corn syrup
My fridge has died on me today and I can't get one for another week or so. What can I do in the meantime with food? I don't have a lot of money so the less "buying and eating straight away at fast food places" the better. I have to take lunch to work and rely on the fridge to keep the food fresh.
So what can I buy /ck/? I'm thinking of buying foods like eggs, pasta and tinned foods, those won't go off a while (especially the tinned shit).
beef jerky
