I said "hooch" in front of a friend today and he legitimately didn't know what it meant. I instantly thought of that /ck/ thread a few months ago. So tell me, do you ever refer to alcohol as "hooch"?
>>7526771
yeah i occasionally use the word
>>7526771
>do you ever refer to alcohol as "hooch"
Only if I distilled it myself, at home.
>>7526771
No, I don't live in the 1920s.
What should I expect.
>>7526653
shitty hours, relatively small pay, not liking cooking anymore
its a good thing I have almost no hours lol
>>7526653
Horrible hours, angry coworkers, angry management, lots of drugs.
Is this nectar of god for white folk? I swear only you guys love this stuff and boy do ya
Wat. I only see nigs drink this swill. Maybe Amerifat whites do.
>>7526611
Mountain Dew is known as a white drink. It's for skaters, hillbillies, and rock n roll fans

You live in the suburbs, don't you.
Trader Joe's is closing all of its stores by 2017.

If you had a food stand downtown in a big city during a huge festival, what would you be selling out of it?
I would probably do something flashy and entertaining like a third world style open flame grill and make cheapo omelettes for $2 a piece right in front of peoples faces, and do overly exaggerated hand gestures while cooking to make it seem more difficult than it really is.
Me? I'd serve crablegs.

>mfw I just found out what "7 Layer Salad" was
Just.......Why? This is more like a dip than a salad. Who thought of this? I felt embarrassed just eating a few spoonfuls, no wonder people in the Midwest live to be that ripe old age of 40.
>>7526001
>a bunch of dry layers with one layer of dressing
Sounds like a salad.
Seven layer dip is pretty much entirely mushy pastes (guacamole, salsa, refried beans, etc) suitable for dipping.
>>7526001
So basically a sideways cobb salad.
>>7526001
Looks alright but seems annoying to server
So /ck/, I know it's just a meme, but at this point, I am so desperate and fed-up that I am actually going to try cutting off all gluten/wheat/dairy from my diet. Sorry, but the doctors can't tell me what's wrong and two years I've suffered.
But the real thing I came to ask you is: can I still eat oats? I always eat oatmeal in the morning, and I don't know what else I'd eat otherwise. Plus my digestion has been greatly bettered by my eating oats, and it helps me feel full until lunch-time.
If it makes any difference, I just eat the...

What are your symptoms? And if the oats have seemingly improved your symptoms, keep eating them. They do have gluten free oats though. They aren't bad. If you want the "healthiest" oats, go with the steel cut. They just take longer to cook!
Yes there is such a thing as "gluten-free oats"
Why are you avoiding gluten? Were you diagnosed with celiac by a physician or do you have some other problem?
I wonder if there's any technique to reduce the cooking time for white rice. Whenever I go hiking my meals are based around pasta, because I have a limited amount of fuel.
Btw the fastest way I know is to cook it for about 15 mins and let it rest for covered for 5 minutes.
>inb4 make a fire
Not an option.
I like the consistency of cooking it for only 10 minutes.
>>7525905
for how much rice?
>>7525902
There is such a thing as instant rice. It's not something I'd normally buy but for hiking/camping it seems ideal.
What should I do with udon noodles?
Eat them.
>>7525766
throw them into the trash
literally way too much flavourless noodle that just takes up space
>>7525766
I've never tried them, what do they taste like?
I thought you guys would be the best people to discuss this with, but do you ever get hangovers from drinking just a small amount of alcohol?
I normally have 6 or 7 drinks a day to relax and I never get drunk from just slightly buzzed, and I'm fine every morning, but this morning I woke up with what feels like a hangover from hell.
What gives?
>>7525663
>ever get hangovers from drinking just a small amount of alcohol?
No, never.
>>but this morning...
It could be any number of things. Perhaps you were dehydrated yesterday for some other reason and then the booze made it that much worse?
>>7525680
This would be almost exactly my response.
You're probably dehydrated or suffering a deficiency of the B vitamin variety.
this one time i had a small sherry at the pub and then i woke up and a nigger had raped me and stole my keys
What would /ck/ suggest I do with squid?
Stuff it in a Japanese girl's vagina.
>>7525416
Very funny.
>>7525411
There's no way around it, mate. You gotta bread them and deep fry.
>mom is making vegetarian lasagna
what's the point of making these pseduo-dishes that are just worse than the original? Pretend meats are disgusting
I don't have a problem with eating vegetarian but then I'd just eat pancakes or a salad. discuss
Man, that burger looks fucking delicious

I eat spinach lasagna without meat all the time, what is she substituting as meat that has you so riled?
Hey /ck/
I recently got some aluminum pots/kettle for camping. After boiling some water it's started turning brassy color with small spots. Same with the tea kettle. Is this normal for aluminum or did I fuck it up?
What on Earth made you think it was okay to use a pot to boil water OP?
They're ruined, and will give you cancer if you use them again. Throw them out and buy a new set.
>>7525138
I was just wondering if I should have seasoned them.
>>7525143
You don't season aluminum.
Just had a spicy Po' Boy from Popeyes... This shit is great.
>>7525097
That black, fat woman who lives down the street can make the best fried chicken you'll ever taste. Your thread is worth nothing.
>>7525101
But can she assemble a sandwich before devouring everything she made? Your life is worth nothing.
>>7525101
The black people can cook meme is hilarious, maybe 1 in 50 but the rest are too ignorant to figure it out, this is why fast food places always have the black people at the front counter, they can't assemble shitty food fast enough.
I asked a friend who was going to thailand to bring me back some gross food as a souvenir that i would then cook for a easter lunch. And he brought back this, anybody knows what it is and how to cook it?
Looks like soft Shell crab, really good when deep fried. I might be wrong though
My first thoughts was to cook soup off of them, but on close inspection the shell seems "crunchy" enough that you might be able to eat them, so you might be right
