Why is sriracha getting so much shit when tabasco is even worse while being also really popular?
Are we just hating on everything that's popular here?
>>7531009
Both are meme foods
>>7531009
Idk. I like them both. I've always preferred Tabasco because that's what was around when I was growing up. I still use it and probably always will.
Why not buy some bulk cayenne pepper and be set for years? That stuff is too acidic and expensive.
Beautiful morning boys, let's start by browning off some beef.

I'm gonna use ancho and pasilla peppers today. Also some random reds and greens.

Australia food winge thread
why is all out food so fucking expensive?
why have discount supermarket chains like ALDI gained a foothold yet?
why is out supermarket bread made of air, sucrose and preservatives?
why is alcohol taxed at 30%
The price of meat really pisses me off.
There is basically no cut of red meat that regularly costs less than $10 a kilo any more.
>>7530401
It's a little expensive, but not as high as whingers make out.
Aldi's relative cheapness is a myth.
Sucrose? I'm starting to doubt you've even been to Australia.
Because raising alcohol prices does not stop Australians from buying it.

Their cornetto knock offs are really good
Anyone on that 5:2 diet? This is my fourth week this week and I'm finding it very sustainable so far.
I've got no particular recipes though. Any suggestions?
>>7517940
First time hearing about this diet. Is it actually effective? It sounds really good.
>>7517998
I'm not hugely fat or anything. Very top end of health, BMI wise (yeah, I know bmi isn't a great system). I've lost around 8 lbs since I started it.
Like I said it's seemed like it'd be sustainable long term if I wanted. My normal eating days haven't changed much, though I suppose I do make the odd healthy decision on those days, since I can see I'm making progress.
There's a good BBC documentary that features the diet and other fasting diets. Interested in me...

Are you going to stay awake the whole time? Got someone to help you?
How do you like your meat cooked?
If the word "medium" isn't in your answer, you are a fucking pleb
Well done means it is cooked well. I don't take meat cooked to meme doneness.
in the middle of medium well and well done please
it's just perfect that way
only the finest michellelin starred chefs can hit that sweet spot for me
>>7533133
I cook different cuts of meat to different levels of doneness, because I know how to cook and don't pay attention to memes.

Can someone explain the difference between soul food and southern food pls?
Soul food has specifically black connotations.
Southern food encompasses all regional food from the South.
Buy a bag of M&M's. Take one M&M out. That's the difference.
>>7531997
black cooks
>soul food
southern white cooks
>southern food
we have no soul i rectum
Tobacco is /ck/.
What are you smoking/chewing? I picked up a pack of pic related. Not bad, but I prefer Camel unfiltered.
I smoke quite infrequently, usually when I need to take ten minutes away from the kitchen at work; I will walk over to the gas station and pick up a Black & Mild woodtip "Jazz". Used to smoke Camel wides and Djarums, or Lucky Strikes once in a blue moon, but then the government went and banned flavored cigarettes (such bullshit that menthols didn't get hit by that, kids fucking LOVE menthols), and then they mandated prerolled cigarettes have to come with plastic in the papers, and now I can't even enjoy the ones I used to. I guess I can still do hand...

As part of my new "Man-Up" program I have promise to myself and loved ones that I am exercising, eating healthy, learning new things (you know, things that I should be doing regardless of promises).
Since I live in Glorious Tijuana I have 19 places to eat in a 1km radius, 17 of them unhealthy so I better learn to make dam good food
About what I like; I love rice and I would like to learn recipes on which I can substitute bread with rice. I have plenty of fruits available and I reallylike them. i despise most salads for being boring af.
Any ideas?
This is /fastfood-franchises and snacks/, maybe you should try /fit/.
Here's what I eat on my cut
Protein shake in morning before lifting
After lifting, one cup of oats, 1/4 cup sunflower seeds, one banana
Lunch is either peanut butter sandwich if I didn't cook the night before, or some sort of bean oriented meal. I make lots of chili/stew.
Dinner is a big salad with a can of garbanzo beans, spinach, more sunflower seeds, peppers, and balsamic vinaigrette.
Another protein shake before bed
I've been losing about 1 1/2 pounds per week while maintaining strength and energy and never really starving myself.
>>7531700
I have seeing some threads dedicated to similar things I want, I just need more recipes and have them all in one place
And about /fit/...I am not going there
A buddy of mine who skins hunted animals for a living just came by and dropped off a cooler full of game meat, most of it moose and deer, but among it was some bear burger. I have never cooked with ground bear meat before, and am wondering what exactly I should do with it. I could make burgers, but bear meat isn't something I come across often, so I'd prefer to do something more special. Any thoughts /ck/?
what kind of bear is it?
>>7531595
Black bear I believe.
>>7531618
>eating the nigger of bears
Can we talk about how absolutely terrible this stuff is? It tastes like they made it by dissolving root beer flavored jelly beans in carbonated water and adding a little vanilla vodka. Too sweet to palate and lacking in actual sassafras flavor.
tastes more like a shitty creme soda than it does a root beer
>>7531566
>actual sassafras flavor.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but hasn't that been banned since the 1960s?
I've tried all of the fad "hard soda" beers, and NYF isn't the worst out there.
That goes to Best Damn Root Beer. It tastes like a goddamn watery root beer barrel hard candy (the bad kind, not the A&W kind) drowned in vanilla.
Sprecher's Hard Root Beer tastes more like beer than root beer. Can barely taste the sugar at all.
Coney Island is the best. They basically toned down the sweetness from NYF and removed the fucking hand sanitizer scent.
Woah there, buddy! You gonna let that wine breathe a little?
>red goon
it's like reaching rock bottom
and then punishing yourself further for your mistakes
>>7531459
im drinking box wine. i'm obviously drinking to get fucked up, because my life is falling apart. So no, im not going to let it breathe. I'm going to drink the entire box in one sitting and hope that i dont wake up.
i always like when Wine snobs go INSANE over the year of the wine, like they can fucking tell the difference of a 1964 vs a 1965 or some such trite
youd have to be dead drunk 24/7, 365 days a year on different wines for YEARS to be able to tell the difference between fermented grape juices made at different times
