Who's best?
I've actually never eaten at any of those. Should I?
>>7533911
No. You should also hide and ignore fast food threads, oh wait I'd better also mention joey and other fat ugly trash humans who spam their shit. Yeah those too, I didn't forget about you trashpeople.
>>7533920
But this isn't fast food. It's fast-casual.
I have some meats from that picture.
How is best to prepare bull or what do you like to make of it.
Sorry for poor english I am a swedish
>>7537431
Roasting is the only answer.
>>7537431
I've heard the testicles are good boiled, and generally called "prairie oysters".
>>7537431
Inb4 nobody makes a "prep the bull" joke at the expense of swedes and a great thread about butchering beef happens
Any chefs here, what do you wear at work? and what sort of kitchen are you working in?
I wear basically exactly what's in your image.
Black t-shirt, low key chef pants (none of that striped shit), black nonslip shoes kept clean and occasionally polished, black or white chef scull cap.
Not a chef, but line cook at a downtown bar/pub type place where business people come after work to get overpriced classic American fare.
Used to have a kitchen dress code but the laundry got too expensive. Most people change in the storage room but I just show up dressed for work with my hat in my back pocket.
>>7536087
I worked at a kind of laid-back fine dining place (if that makes sense) and the dress code was literally whatever you wanted with a blue bragard over it. Track pants and T-shirts all day, baby.
I'm not a chef, but I work in a kitchen. I wear charcoal grey chefwear pants, easy to clean black clogs, a white undershirt and the white chef coats the company supplies and has dry cleaned for us. They offer pants too, but they are itchy as fuck. I keep my hair very short and don't bother with a hat.
I work at a small private resort in the terrible state of Florida. I make all the breads and desserts. We have both a fine dining and casual menu, depending on where you decide to sit.
It's pizza night!
>>7534953
D-did you shave a coconut onto that pizza?
>>7534967
It looks like grated parmesan/pecorino to me.
>>7534967
You know... that.... could be interesting.
Why haven't you bought this yet, /ck/?
Unitool
>>7534806
Because it's more shit than the separate versions of those things, and because toast isn't that good.
Everything in that picture takes a different amount of time to prepare.
Unless that thing coordinates it so that everything is done at the same time, there's no reason to buy a giant thing to take up counter space and only have miniature versions of three separate appliances you probably already own in the first place.
In all honesty, why do white Americans like to be conservative with seasonings?
eg, salt and pepper and that's it.
>>7536602
it's a false meme
Wartime austerity measures killed British and American cuisines throughout the '50s, '60s and '70s and neither nation has entirely recovered just yet.
>>7536604
Can confirm, am American WASP, like to cook with spicy stuff.
Double-Double, Animal Style
>tomatoes
fuck outta here
>>7533066
you're either an idiot or 12
>>7533078
Why include tomatoes? they have no flavor and usually have the texture of mush.
Which are the best foods for dieting /ck/?
what kind of diet? do you want gain or lose weight? or just be healthy? or go full retard and go on a meme diet like paleo or atkins?
Whole plant foods. As long as you don't eat too much nuts, you can usually stuff yourself with anything fitting that definition and at least be at an equilibrium that keeps your BMI below 25.
Or you could processed and fatty animal foods and get into tedious reductionism while constantly feeling hungry.
The best foods for dieting can be anything but they need to be served with a healthy side of restraint ;).
BBQ thread?
Did a shoulder of lamb for dinner, just about to carve it.
Here's it before I put it on. Seasoned with rosemary, garlic, salt and pepper.
Getting ready for the spit.
On the cheap spit I bought from eBay.
Mostly done now.
So what's your favorite food-related music?

what's the worst diet you've heard of? My mother has started this "no sugar, no carb" diet which means she cant eat anything with the two except on sundays. So basically vegetables all week or something. It didnt make any sense to me since it excludes fruit and how can you even survive without carbs and sugars?
Its almost as bad as the lemon detox
The Japanese porn star diet. You can only eat paper, but you can eat all the paper you want.
>no sugar, no carb
>vegetables all week
You should read up a little on basic nutrition.
My aunt and uncle eat cabbage stew all week to "detox" when they get back from vacations, usually budget cruises.
> tfw hate eating vegetables
Help me, they just taste so terrible. How do I fix myself?? Please no shit advice like
>just man up and eat them bro
just man up and eat them bro

Do you think there's some big secret that's been hidden from you?
How do you guys cook without recipes? I want to learn to cook (24 years old, pathetic) but it's so overwhelming to try to go in blind.
Like for example yesterday my parents ordered stuff from Blue Apron and I cooked it (it was fried catfish fillets with paella), and it wasn't hard at all to do because they provided the recipe for it, but there would be do way I would have knows how to make the paella in the recipe by memory.
It seems like if you want to cook something, you should need to have a recipe for it, like every time.
Pity nobody's invented some kind of global information system on which nearly the total sum of all recipes known to man are accumulated and freely available, huh.
>>7535373
That's not what I said you condescending prick. I said I don't understand how people can just know how to make a whole bunch of stuff seemingly by memory, like all the people on here. They don't need recipes they can just do shit. Pull ways to make meals out of their ass
>>7535379
Food tastes good
If you put some foods together it can taste better
It doesn't take a genius to figure out what those combinations are, we have all eaten literally thousands of meals involving combinations of flavours
Now you've figured out what ingredients to use, it's just a matter of knowing how to cook them, which is straightforward
But c'mon, you think people just imagine new recipes on the spot every single meal? 99% of what people cook is just variants on other common dishes...

Medium egg went well with the cheese, all gooey.
So a texas burger?
>>7535297
I love egg on my burger but a runny yolk, I don't know about that.
I'll have to try.
Pepperoni is a children's topping. If you're still using it, you need to graduate high school.
I, too, agree with maddox like some kind of mindless doofus.
>>7535270
Ok maddox
People don't like onions LMAO, for every animal you don't eat I'll eat three! Merlot HAHAHAHA EPIC!!! Vegans suck, Cameron Diaz is SOOOO annoying LOL
