Why is it that japanese food seems to be the only asian food you fuckers seem to be into? Is it what's called "weeaboo" phenomenon?

I don't like the sweet/non sweet combinations most other asian cuisines use, but I actually prefer Korean to japanese
Mostly because japanese cuisine uses less exotic and "weird" ingredients than chinese or thai, so it's easier to find and cheaper; unless you live in a city with a big asian community.

VOTING GUIDELINES
Voting follows an 'Iron Chef' style scoring system. This means you, the people of /ck/, will judge each entry individually instead of deciding on what you feel is the "best" dish.
Dishes are scored out of a total 20 points, based on 4 categories (worth a maximum of 5 points each); Presentation, Originality, Appeal and Challenge Goals. You may award 0's if you feel the contestant did not meet your expectations for a category.

The theme of Round Seven is...
No heat allowed!
Raw, frozen, fermented, cold smoked, cooked in acid... I don't care, but no no heat source allowed this round! Good luck!. While you're perfectly welcome to make a large spread of food, please make sure there is clearly a "main dish" because that is what people will be voting on.
Two contestants will not be moving on to the next round. This is also a prize round! Winner gets a surprise!

Why do so many people ruin their dishes with this shit?
Such a huge amount of people (at least most people I know) hate it, yet every time I watch a cooking show I see people put it on everything.
Even restaurants around where I live rarely have cilantro in their dishes because they know most people don't like it. Just mexican restaurants, even then, i constantly hear people ask to leave it out.
Why the fuck does everyone on television and youtube throw this into everything? Is it just the area I'm from and the rest of the world doesn't think...

>Is it just the area I'm from and the rest of the world doesn't think cilantro tastes like shit?
Pretty much

Apparently some people have a genetic variation that makes cilantro taste like soap to them.
Personally, I like it. But that being said it is easy to overdo it and add too much.
oh look, it's another faggot who thinks the world should cater to his genetic deficiencies.

Plants form memories, are you still ok eating plants vegetarian/vegan anons?
We've known this awhile, vegans and the like just don't care because plants are so far from us genetically. They don't see, move, taste, etc. They feel they aren't hurting anything because it doesn't have the traits we typically associate with normal life. Tl;dr they're hypocrites.

Saying that “climate change is an ethical problem”, the Danish Council on Ethics (Det Etiske Råd) has called for a climate tax on red meat..
Your thoughts?
Welcome to big government. Filthy communists can't stand people having a good time so they ban it.

You should only expect red meat on a special occasion anyway, anon.

What countries have the best beer?
1. Belgium
2. Canada
3. USA
4. Germany
5. ? England
Seems to be a pretty strong drop off.

Canadian major-label beers are much more drinkable than US ones imo, plus our craft beer industry is in excellent shape.

Unibroue has a legitimate claim at being the best brewery in the world
Why do hipster faggots think these things are some kind of magic medicine that makes them automatically healthy? The body needs protein and fat to survive despite what Cameron Diaz wants you to think. The vegetable industry must be making millions off these retards.
Pretty colours.
Because hipsters think animals are more important than people
