I've just had breakfast.
>I've noticed that a lot of uneducated people order their steaks well done.
From working 10 years in bars and restaurants. You can tell the type. Look like they just rode in from some little town an hour out of the "big city" and then they usually pull you aside or come up to the bar to check how much longer their food will be. "Sorry sir, another 6 centuries to make sure your beautiful cut of meat has fully been turned into a leather wallet"
I've noticed the opposite (former waiter)
Usually it's off-road pickup truck fishing bros trying to appear masculine so they purposefully infect themselves with toxoplasmosis gondii by ordering an undercooked (medium rare and under) steak
I grew up with overcooked meat. My grandpa was a boot bohunk in Minneapolis and worked as a butcher. He took home all of the nearly spoiled meat and would basically burn everything, hoping no one would get sick. So it turned into a family preference. When you grow up eating well done meat, it's really hard to stomach the idea of eating anything pink.
I tried to make cornbread and eggs in my iron skillet and now it's ruined. You faggots owe me a skillet
That just means you don't know how to cook or clean @$$#@T! Git gud.
Tell us about your eating experiences during your travels abroad.
lived in Japan for a few years. i was always a picky eater, but being a broke student, I didn't have much choice. was mostly pleasantly surprised.
also, my friend visited South America with his wife, ate Street food, and got really sick. turns out he had an amoeba.
how much soda do you drink per day?
>Alcohol is a carcinogen
My God, should I swear off booze now? Why does nobody care that alcohol causes cancer?
ITT: Patrician Beers only
Hey /ck/ I am curious about what your secret ingredients are in your favorite recipes, or if there is some recipe that you make and add just a bit of something that makes it much better.
I put just a pinch of smoked paprika in scrambled eggs and one of white pepper in mashed potatoes. I also steam my vegetables in stock.
Alright /ck/, tell me how shit your taste is: New York or Chicago pizza?
A Big Mac combo with hot, fresh fries and an ice cold Coca Cola.
I have a date next week, and I'm planning on cooking an extravagant meal but she has very simple tastes and her favorite thing is grilled cheeses with old cheddar and she pretty much exclusively drinks vodka with cranberry juice.
How do I make a grilled cheese and a side that gets the pussy wet?
Lets have fun :)
What if I told you that this was your dinner, and you had to finish it all or face certain death?
Best kind? Best ways to prepare it?
I love me some basics...
Tuna avacado roll
Salmon avacado roll
My kids like a veggie roll
Cucumber, avacado, carrot shreds, and a few sprouts. I usually roll that in sesame seeds for them.
Wife gets all fancy sometimes, but I actually prefer the simple stuff where the flavor of the rice and fish stand alone.
Why do people hate Tilapia so much? Plentiful pest fish for everyone
For one, they say it's dangerous to human health and the environment. For another, raising/farming it is both cheap and easy, so there's no reason it should ever cost as much as it does in some stores.
There's no reason it should ever cost more than a buck or two per pound, depending on if you buy it filleted or whole.
Farmed tilapia (which, let's be honest, is the vast, vast, vast, vast, VAST majority of tilapia sold anywhere) has barely any flavour to it. It's got a neutral taste.
Fishy, fishy, fishy fish.
Your turn, Bongistan.
