Why doesn't Wendy's make a burger that has that disgusting cheese sauce from the baked potatoes?
Getting a new apron. Recommendations for quality, price, form and function.
Sick shit to embroider.
What is it about vegetables and fruit that makes them healthy? Is it more than just vitamins and minerals? (and fibre)
I mean, I'm not about to start living on multivitamins and Raisin Bran, but I'm curious. Because nutritionists are always saying supplements are not a substitute.
part of it is certainly that they're more filling and make it harder to overeat.
part of it is that sometimes our bodies suck at absorbing nutrients from multivitamins. i don't know enough about nutrition to explain why.
Can /ck/ redpill me on bread cheese? Any Finnish co/ck/s here?
A local grocer just started selling it, but it's like $8-10 for a thin block of pic related. Is it worth it?
/ck/ I present to you the chilly dog
Favourite foods from abroad?
>edmonton mall, canada
>used to eat pic related whenever possible
I'm going back to Canada in the next year with my sister, I'm really excited to have these again.
Hey /ck/, long time no see.
I finally got some vacation time this week, so I decided to post some OC for you! I had some random stuff I needed to use up so I decided to make a white lasagna, but with a special twist just for all you co/ck/s!
Those of you who remember me might remember that I sometimes have a sick sense of humor with my food, so get ready. You'll either love it, or will tell me to KYS.
First, we're going to bake some sweet potatoes (yep, needed to use these up)
While those bake, time to saute some pancetta
Almost there, getting brown and crispy.
Every time you go to the store you've got to be sure to grab a box of taco shells and flour tortillas for "taco Tuesday". Sundays are "spaghetti Sunday" so don't forget the pasta for Italian night. And, ooo!, you're going to need some bread for breakfast, so grab some bagels. And maybe you'll have hot dogs for lunch so don't forget the buns and potato/corn chips. And you haven't had a steak in awhile, so buy a large baking potato. Those fancy cakes sure look good, so get a couple boxes of those. With everything going on you might get busy this month, so grab some instant noodles and easy mac. And I guess you need a bag of flour because everyone should always have some flour and milk on hand even though you always throw it away.
You just spent a decent chunk of your money on wheat and corn-based products. You could have bought more/better quality meat, fruit, or vegetables! What the FUCK were you thinking buying so many carbs?
Don't pretend. I see you faggots doing it all the time.
I might be getting a job as kitchen help in about a month and while I have no experience in the field, I am a fast learner. However, I would like to be able to show some sort of skill when they interview me.
Is there anything on the internet that shows what the job is about and basic kitchen help skills? I have been cooking for myself for 7 years withou ever doing anything ridiculous like burning a meal or slicing my hand open, but you never know what is expected from you, apart from not caring about washing a million dishes a day without complaining.
Thanks in advance.
At the end of your first shift, chef will probably burn you a little. Don't worry it's just kind of a kitchen tradition, a hot skewer will be used to make a small 'branding' mark, usually somewhere fairly inconspicuous. Just be sure to say "I'm ready for your poker, chef." And bend over thw sink/work surface.
Do the cooks here plan on taking advantage of Prime Day Deals? I found some utopia home kitchen knives that are normally $300.00 for under $50.00 and am thinking of making a purchase after looking up some info about the product/company. What cooking tools would you be interested in seizing during the sale? Next pic related; the knife set.
The set itself includes •This 12 piece knife set includes an 8" Chef Knife 2.5 mm blade thickness, an 8" Bread Knife 2.5 mm blade thickness, an 8" Carving Knife 2.5 mm blade thickness, a 5" Utility Knife 2.5 mm blade thickness, a 5" Paring Knife 2 mm blade thickness, and 6 Pieces of 4.5" Steak Knives 2 mm blade thickness to be held in an acrylic stand for convenient storing of the knives. They are made from 420.
Don't fall for the lies, OP. If they were decent knives to begin with they wouldn't be putting them on sale for so little. They're obviously just trying to unload their stock, and you don't want to be that sucker who ends up with sub-par garbage prominently displayed on your kitchen counter that you're going to have to actually use every single day.
Just do some research and find out what you really want. Ordering something you don't really want just because it's on sale is never a good idea.
How do u guys like my sandwich? It's ham and turkey with mayo.
Just ate some seal meat and seal oil, thanks to my Alaskan Native neighbor. Ask away.
If this thread gets at least 20 replies I will give a recipe for faux seal meat.
what are some good burrito filling combinations? I need to make some burritos to survive. So far, I got ground beef/turkey + cheese + tomato sauce + chopped spinach
But for baked enchiladas, I usually roll with a pound of ground beef cooked with onion and a can of green chiles, then mixed with refried beans and taco seasoning.
It's pretty straightforward and makes roughly 8 enchiladas.
Can you flip an egg with no flipper?
can you not fry both sides and still have a runny yolk?
It's not hard..
and yes OP, I can in a nonstick, but not in a cast iron. my only iron is just too big/heavy for practical flippings.
