I eat it how it is in the OP.
I make bordelaise most times. It's one of the best sauces for steak. Well besides bearnaise but I never feel like making that. And the rich purple sauce goes well with roasted veggies or braised greens
>>7687826
Do you Make a roux as a base for your bourdelaise? I always see people divided between when and when not to use a roux
What is the best meal you've ever had

Brisket cooked the Jew way.
Lay down a bed of noodles
Put down cuts of tender brisket
Ladle a tomato sauce that contains fresh green beans over the top
Delicious. No I'm not a Jew.

I was in japan and went into a very small noodle bar in a ski resort town. I walked in and just pointed at the plate of food the person next to me was eating. It was simply stir fried veg and thin slices of pork. I have no idea what they put in it but i have never tasted something so amazing. It may have been fuck tonnes of msg, but however many amazing meals i have at highly rated restaurants, hell even michelin star restaurants, i have never tasted something so amazing
Do I rinse the rice BEFORE or AFTER cooking it? Pic related. Thats rice.
After, same as pasta.

either a quarter pounder or a big mac with a large fry and coke at mcdonalds in iowa. Probably the most authentic american I have ever had.
>>7702964
Pretty easy to tell between a quarter pounder and a big Mac, especially since McDonald's is in most countries. Why are you pretending?
>>7702959

Who's ready to join me for a little oven jerky?
First time doing it, but I'm feeling pretty confident.
Posting live from the kitchen.
It's going to be a jalapeño carne asana jerky. Taking the tops right off the jalapeño, add all my seasonings and liquids to the blender until blended to hopeful perfection and marinate them for about an hour.
Wine's for me though. Been a long week.
I made some oven jerky too, Chicago style.
please post something that isn't rotten fish, rotten meat or literal shit in a milkbowl.

Seeing a lot of unrelated threads going on at once, and thought a general would help. What beer are you drinking today, /ck/? Having myself a variety of Belgians. Just finished a Maredsous Bruin Dubbel and a Chimay White Tripel. About to start a Moinette Blonde.
>>7673410
Nice choice op. I've had them al except the blond moinette. Seems good tho.
>can someone recommend some good cream ales?
I'm currently brewing one now. Gonna add fresh peach to it a "peaches and cream ale" sounds retardedly tasty. But I've only seen and had a few cream ales and wanna broaden. Had genesse (amazing ) and cali creaming by mother earth.
Also I give this thread 4 posts before it. Gets blueberried.
>>7673431
>peaches and cream ale
Sounds delicious actually. Might pursue something similar after I finish my maple and brown sugar stout. All grain or extract?
>>7673488
Honestly it's a rice extract. I wanted to start with some ting that wouldn't add to much flavor. I'm going to do it again with actual grain added to the malt for more flavor and a darker color. Nothing to heavy tho. I want a transparent beer for a change
post tasty food

is that for takeout? because, holy shit, I wish there was something like that in my city.

SHIGGY WIGGY DOO
The worst I've had is Jack Daniels. Absolutely pig disgusting, tasted like it was flavored with an old, smelly leather boot that had been toasted to better release the aroma and add smoky undertones.
