Hello /ck/, I'm trying to figure out how to cook cheap rice/pasta dishes that contain some decent nutrients beyond carbs. What are good veggies which are cheap, rich in vitamins/minerals? Same thing with herbs/spices.
I was thinking of trying rice+masala garam+green onions+bits of ham. Other rice dishes welcome.
I fucking hate retarded cunts like you. Literally need spoonfeeding which vegetables to put in your food, how incompetent can a person become? I feel sorry for your parents. I wish for their sake you'd have died at birth. Sage and KYS.s
>>7731835
>people who don't cook often know the fine nutritional contents of veggies and their comparative prices
>herbs and spices are like ABC
>>7731839
I presume gif related is you since you're too fat and idiotic to know how fucking vegetables work.
Sage and KYS.
Will it be gelatinous? Or does that only happen if you use the jello making process of putting the mix in hot water followed by immediately chilling it?
>>7731808
Your pancakes will be tart and blood red, as if you had blended a baby chick egg.
If you managed to dissolve the crystals through the batter and then chilled the pancake afterwards, it would probably congeal and have an unpleasant texture.
I'm going to try it but on a small scale, just wondered if anyone tried it.
What's the secret to the perfect 'zonya the way mama used to make?
>>7731774
'u gotta use lots of 'cha and squeeze all the moisture out of the 'ach. i use 50/50 'eef and 'auge.

>>7731781
Adding 'cha to 'zonya would ruin the umami flavor profile.
I work at a deli, AMA
I also worked at a deli too. Almost 5 years. All that free food was glorious.
>>7731647
I know this feel, it's glorious. It's getting me fat though.

what's the official hierarchy of shemale porn and why is it
>brazilian shemales>american/european trannies>thai ladyboys
?
Pesto is very good.
Yes it is
Well you're not wrong.
My girlfriend is a vegetarian and is always trying to serve me pesto on pasta. I don't care for it. What am I missing?
Hey co/ck/s. What's everyone eating tonight? I made beans and rice with black beans from a can, Zatarains dirty rice, some eggs, peppers, onions, and mushrooms. Topped off with raw onions and hot sauce. Food for poorfags.
>>7730774
>zatarains dirty rice
>food for poorfags
Some of us are poor because we're alcoholics, not because we're too stupid to buy/cook anything other than overpriced, oversalted shit out of a box.
I went to an upscale sushi restaurant for dinner tonight.
Pic very related.
If raw cookie dough is supposed to be bad for you then why is cookie dough ice cream ok?
get out
>>7730540
they dont put eggs in the cookie dough.
>>7730540
Because the cookie dough in cookie dough ice cream isn't made with raw/unpasteurized eggs.
Extra crispy just the way I like it :^)
Canada style 'za

This here is true Italian cuisine. I, too, love a good Pompeii style pizza.
Looking to buy my first peppercorn grinder, what should I know?
And feel free to post your own grinder, I think it would be interesting to see what /ck/ uses.
Thanks

How do you guys deal with the kitchen grease on your furniture/extractor?
I use Member's Mark degreaser, but the smell is far too strong, after using it I need to leave the room for 40 mins to an hour to avoid feeling dizzy as shit.
Do you have any home alternatives?
Also, hygiene thread.
Fucking bump
Just how the fuck does kitchen grease end up on your furniture?
Deeply curious about this.
I use an orange glow type cleaner. It works almost as well as harsh degreaser, but it smells nice. I can't stand huffing harsh fumes
Anyone else have a family member that's a living meme when it comes to food? My mom is a perfect example
>will cover anything in a specific condiment/seasoning/herb completely drowning it in that flavor
>Ex: drowning a quesadilla in sriracha, a sandwich in mayo and avocado, putting way too much parsley or cilantro in a dish that doesn't need it
>Says she's a vegetarian and will never stfu about it even though she's eaten chicken several times beforeComment too long. Click here to view the full text.
Brother is the same way with Japanese food and makes shitty sushi
Also forgot to add that she adds kale to pretty much every dish as well.

Monday again... likely my most hated day of the week, but certainly nothing some kitchen time can't remedy. It's also Memorial Day; a time where people get outside to cook and drink in both celebration of the men and women who came home, and also remembering those who didn't. Whether it's a day you celebrate or not, I say to each their own. Let's just get right down to the cooking. Today we're making some chicken and beef stock to replenish the supply we topped off with our last meal. Not the most extravagant cooking but a very necessary one. We'll...

The beverage of choice today is some Longboard Island Lager from Kona Brewing.
It's not something I drink often but my buddy tossed me a few after a BBQ we had on Sunday.
Nothing says Monday like a little 11:30am drinking.
We'll be using a 12 quart stock pot for the chicken, and a smaller 10 quart for the beef.
>>7729664
that shits worse than fucking keystone
Does anybody know how I can cook this?
Like a recipe or something
Skewer the dogs with uncooked pasta, boil and contemplate where you went wrong in life.
Uncooked dogs?
What does a Truffle taste like?
Salty milk and coins.
>>7729571
Sort of like a really, really rich mushroom mixed with the taste of foie gras
It's basically pure umami (if you'll excuse the term)
>>7729593
So it's basically a Mushroom huh?
