Great facebook post friend! Except it's actually worse, because this is an anonymous image board you fucking faggot.
>>7766500
You okay man?
It's probably been close to a decade since I've even seen basic chocolate, vanilla, or strawberry ice cream offered anywhere.
What can I make with Refried beans and pasta, (macaroni) and just about every spice possible. other than a fucked up creation
spaghetti aglio e olio
What are refried beans? You cook them then mash up and fry them? So confused.
>>7766427
You boil them, mash them, then fry or bake them. "Well-fried," not "refried." They're best for baking anyway.
My father was supposed to cook rice in a pot and he used a dark bottom pot instead of an aluminum one. Like a quarter of the rice is stuck to the bottom of the pot, and he blanched green beans in the same pot, again, instead of the aluminum one.
He couldn't even follow a Blue Apron recipe correctly that even has fucking pictures accompanying everything. Jesus fucking christ
>>7766295
Sounds like your dad needs to learn to make Tah Dig (persian crispy rice). Fucking delicious. LRN IT.
>>7766295
>he used a dark bottom pot instead of an aluminum one
What the fuck are you even trying to say. It sounds like neither one of you know how to cook.
one little bread roll has hundreds of carbohydrates
literally destroying your organs with high blood sugar spikes
i used to think bread was harmless and the least of my worries
why do you still consume the yeasty jew
>>7766272
not to mention theres literally 0 nutrition in bread
and it doesnt even taste good its a facilitator only
Yet you'll eat meat, dairy, and eggs without a second thought
Typical carnist
I'm planning on making a Pot Pie, first time trying it.
>using kangaroo meat
>using a slow cooker to cook it
>already got puff pastry ready
What do you reccomend making the filling out of, other than meat? Is there any good liquids to make up the gravy (I was thinking red wine)? Any traps I need to look out for?
>>7766248
I like using carrots, cauliflower, potatoes, and sometimes peas
Make sure you marinate the fuck out of the meat (kangaroo is dry and seizes up when cooked) and make sure the gravy is pretty much pre-made before shoving in the pot. Liquids are easy to reduce and evaporate, but lumps of undercooked roux aren't.
>>7766248
use a standard stew recipe - mirepoix (onion, celery, carrots), roux, beef broth + red wine, taters + root vegs. depending on how tough roo is you may want to slow cook the stew for a couple hours before topping it with pastry.
What is your opinions on nuggets? Dank or nah
>>7766234
Dank.
Stank
>>7766245
Dank.
Thanks to the actions of a family member who I trusted with one job (put bread in the oven) I now have three loaves of bread that have scorch marks on the top, are ripped in half lenghtwise, and are slightly squashed.
The fuck am I supposed to do with this shit?
inb4 bread pudding (I fucking hate pudding).
Panzanella or croutons
Throw it to Katniss.
>>7766212
the scorch marked loaves are probably fine sliced.
you could also make breading for something fried.
>he closes the grill when grilling hamburgers
>>7766172
I would love to see those women eat a juicy burger with the grease runing down their arm and they don't give a fuck.
>>7766172

>he gets cooking advice from alton brown
Do you consider turkey to be a festive food (i.e., only eaten on thanksgiving or whatever holiday you use as an excuse), or just regular food?
>>7766033
Depends on how it's prepared I guess, I eat a turkey sandwiches pretty regularly
Neither.
Barring smoked turkey and processed meats, turkey should never be eaten by anyone anywhere ever under any circumstances. Because it's icky.
>>7766051
what do you eat on thanksgiving? or are you not american?
I'm currently in Chicago for the food. What should I eat first? Open to any suggestions.
Pic unrelated
>>7765874
Chicago is a big place. Where are you staying? Do you have a car?
>>7765879
I'm at Lakeview with a rental car.
they make an interesting type of tomato soup casserole encased in a sort of leavened grain and filled with cheese. it's worth a try 2bh
Hi /ck/ I just started with a company that have inverters in the trucks. I was told they are 1500w. I can run my gaming laptop on it. I was told not to go over 750 amps for cooking appliances. What are some good appliances I can get to cook rice and mabey a skillet or crock pot. Will these things work on only 750amps?
i only know about burgers, i know nothing about magnets or whatever you're talking about
>>7765838
>750 amps
>only 750A
I-I don't know what to say.
Damn
ITT: Unpopular food opinions.
I think cheese is a meme food, and a remnant from human history where we fucked animals and ate each other. None of it is good.
>>7765829
I'ma post a rebuttal: actual cheeses are packed full of savory flavors, and it's easy to understand why it's so popular.
Now for my own:
Iceberg lettuce is the best kind of green for a salad. It's light, crunchy, and adds much-needed coolness and moisture to salads.
> fucking animals is wrong
> eating them isn't
Cheese is an extension of civilisation. It developed from the farming of livestock and the social stability required to cultivate dairy products. Statistically, if you're lactose intolerant you're more likely to fuck animals and/or be a cannibal, because your bloodline has relatively shallow roots in civilised living.
Tell me a reason of how coconut milk is an useful to cooking/important to someone's diet.
Hard mode: No mention of cocktails (Pina Colada etc)
Is it actually a meme food?
I use it as lube
I like a splash of coconut milk or cream in my butter chicken.
You can make a delicious chicken and rice soup out of it.
Do Dennys chefs have a harder job then gourmet chefs?
LIke you go to a nice gourmet place the menu is usually limited. You go to dennys and they have to know how to cook steaks, pancakes and wings etc.... all in one shift.
>>7765693
>steaks, pancakes and wings
So three things a machine is now capable of cooking?
>>7765698
Obviously they have more, do you want me to list the whole fucking menu?
>>7765698
>etc
Pizzas, pasta, desserts, hot fries, burgers
They are actually pretty decent chefs.
Is beer can chicken an empty meme? I don't think it actually does anything.
It doesnt.
depends. it spreads out the bird allowing heat to penetrate more evenly. if you're cooking it over coals or whatever the legs absorb more of the heat, breaking down more and protecting the breast. the beer evaporates and bastes the bird from the inside and probably helps to ensure the breast meat nearest the bone cooks at the same rate as the outside. i'm not sure how much of an effect it has flavour wise but the aromas will perfume the bird somewhat obviously depending on the beer. it also helps fat drain from the bird. i'm sure if i continued to think about...
