Wings are the perfect food. Yummy.
How does /ck/ like theirs?
Vegan
>>7771404
In the garbage where they belong
all drum sticks in the hottest sauce the place has with ranch and blue cheese
What's the most awesome protein?
>>7772808
asparagus.
plant proteins, specifically seitan. it had double the protein than chicken. plant proteins have also been proven to be digested better and used more efficiently. don't let the fatties tell u chicken does anything. also milk/beef contains ridiculous amounts of estrogen so u may want to stay away from that as well
1 part any legume + 1 part any grain
Both should ideally be soaked before cooking for primo digestion
I'll bite: how am I meant to season food?
spices.
>>7774484
What kind? How much?
>>7774489
salt and pepper
liberally
I am relatively new to nice kitchen knives.
I got this from family who came back from Japan and it is fantastic. Stainless 240mm Masamoto Gyuto. I recently got a basic stone to sharpen it and did an alright job but scratched it up a little.
What is your knife? Do you prefer Japanese or Western style? Anyone else have a Masamoto? How often do you sharpen your knife?
>>7773203
is patina a meme?
>>7773203
G l o b a l b o y s
I don't really like western style knives as I find them heavy and unwieldy but I keep a cheap victorinox on hand for lobster
What is the most useful tool in a professional kitchen in your opinion.
Personally I'd take a tilt skillet if I had a choice of one piece of equipment It's so versital. Soups searing Shit even storage at the end of night
a stove
>>7769201
my dick....wait for it.
Probably the convection oven? Or the walk-in? Or the grill?
If I had to pick just one I'd probably go with the oven-stove-salamander-flattop combo.
Or did you mean stuff that isn't appliances? In that case the answer is obviously the chef's knife, because that's used in practically everything.
Dump what ya got

Pack it up. Nothing to see here.
>quit all candy and refined sugar
Well, this was easy. After 3 months stuff like peppers and broccoli now taste sweet to me
>quit all non-vegtable/fruit carbs because diet
This sucks. I can do without pasta but I really, really miss bread and all baked products (I live in Germany, the heaven of bread)
>try to quit salt because my heart is allready fucked enough
Impossible. Fucking impossible. I just can't do without it. I'm really baffled how easy it was for me to quit sugar but not salt for some reason.
>>7769459
have you tried going vegan for your heart issues? a whole food plant based diet yields the lowest ldl levels, under 56 and your considered basically "heart attack proof"
>>7769464
spotted the faggot already
It has more uses than just flavor though.
Just don't eat a fuck load of it.
How many people here have experienced this, from either the customer or the chef side?
https://youtu.be/mTnj5BVyJvg
Just watched 30 seconds of the video and can assure everyone that it's not worth opening.
It's not funny, and coming from both FoH and BoH experience, it's entirely inaccurate and just plain stupid. That is all.
>>7769999
I feel for that guy on the date. Women take relationships so slowly.
Video was funny, but I haven't really experienced something like that.
>>7770006
>entirely inaccurate
So all the chefs on here that proclaim to serve the shittiest, out-of-date slab of meat to people who ask for a well-done steak, well, those people don't actually exist, since your experience doesn't bear that out. Correct?
>hurr durr, if they want shoe leather, they can have shoe leather
>get 20 chickens for my backyard because I love eggs
Stop liking eggs after 6 months and now i'm stuck with these chickens.
>get 5 beehives for my backyad because I love honey
Got a lifetime supply after 1 harvest and now i'm stuck with these bees.
Food is a meme
>>7769675
sell them to neighbors you idiot
How much of a faggot are you that you are tired of your chickens? Just butcher them if you don't want them anymore and sell the bees. Jesus.
>>7769675
>he doesn't love his chickens
>he doesn't say sweet nothings to them as they coo in their awful chicken screech
>fuck bees
Seriously consider suicide
/ck/, when I was a young lad I lived in Indiana. A local bar my mom went to had these awesome pork tenderloin sandwiches, spreading bountifully away from the bun even more so than pic related. Also had crinkle cut fries funnily enough. Anyway, I've never had one since leaving, and I'd like to make it. Any of you have a favorite recipe or any tips to share?
>>7763185
They make something like that at a diner in Mount Airy, North Carolina. Except they use porkchop and it fits the bun better.
Tried it once, thought it was gross as fuck desu.
>>7763215
Did they pound it thin? I don't think it'd work right with pork chop rather than pork loin.
>>7763219
Not as far as I could tell. It was cut thin, breaded, and fried. Served with pickles.
Post regional foods from your country. Give a short description of its qualities, location and origins if you know them, and rate it if you have had it.
This is the Chopped Cheese. It comes from the Bronx in NYC. You can also find it sometimes in Queens or Brooklyn, but it is rare south of 96th street. It is different depending on where you go, but they all are served on a bun of some sorts and are ground meat with cheese melted over it. I like ones with lettuce and tomato and mayo. It's like a philly cheesesteak but cheaper to make and for the hood that matters....

Wisconsin cheese curds are a fresh cheese that noticeably "squeak" against your teeth when you eat them. Just straight up they kinda suck but when battered and deep fried and served with some sort of ranch or garlic sauce you may cream your pants
>>7761945
I had never heard of boiled peanuts until I saw some in a gas station in Georgia. They taste different this way I don't know why. I would rather have them roasted but they are slightly easier to eat which probably is why they are a popular roadside snack
>>7761945
Careful, you'll trigger him.
What are you ordering?
>>7771183
I'm ordering you to stand down.
Put your hands behind your back and do not resist.
Cheeseburger with two patties, mayo, lettuce, ex ex raw onions, tomato, pickle, small fries and split a sodie w the partner
Bacon cheeseburger with mayo, lettuce, tomatoes, and bbq sauce
Chicago deep dish pizza thread. Post your experience with then, post pictures of them, and discuss your favorite methods of making them.
HARD overrated.
>>7771058
Right now Illinois is basically Wisconsin 2.0.
>>7771058
When I lived in Chicago I tried it at a place called Giordano's
They served me a three layer cake and called it pizza.
Ate one slice and even then I could hardly finish it.
Can I post yet?
>>7769715
