how do you improve chicken soup?
How does one eat healthy?
How do you eat healthy?
What are some good - usually cheap - materials to cook with for a healthy meal plan?
cook everything you eat yourself. as long as you don't cheat and deep fry everything or top everything with shredded cheese you will naturally form a healthy diet.
my favourite meals which appear at least once a fortnight are
falafel with salad and pitta
curried vegetables with paneer
kimchi stew with pork and tofu
vegetarian chilli (Use red lentils to thicken up the sauce)
Only eat meat 2-3- times a week, keep your protein up with pulses on non meat days. meat is by the most expensive thing when cooking. when you buy meat, buy cheap cuts, they normally take longer to cook but can end up tasting much better.
Have lunch with me?
What do you think of my appetizer plate, /ck/?
>Invite the office for dinner
>Cook salmon and NY strip steaks
>Secretary brings her kids over
>didn't tell people to bring anybody, but whatever, I understand wanting to not leave them alone.
>Secretary demands I feed her kids
>Fuck it, there is enough food.
>Kids start running around and doing fake gag motions when...

Opinions on Persian cuisine?
I have a shitloaf of potatoes and I want to use them. What can I make with them beside mashed taters and baked potatoes?
Would you eat this? Does it look good?
>Open minced beef
>Cut in half with clean knife
>Leave half in tub
>Store in fridge for 48 hours in sealed bag.
Couldn't cook it last night, was dragged out by coworkers.
Is it still good? I get nervous leaving meat more than 24 hours when the seal is broken.
Well if I googled this I'd get 1,000 websites written for plebs that all say if you do not eat the opened pack of meat the next evening you will LITERALLY DIE OF SALMONELLA ARE YOU MAD.
Just wanted some common sense reassurance.
Can /ck/ teach me how to make eggs?
I usually fry them and put them over hash browns like a real merican but I want something different.
Answer me this /ck/
I know you don't refrigerate onions, but if I chop them do I put them in the refrigerator?
Have you ever seen someone try to disguise bought food as their own cooking?
Well, I finally got the chance to try Costco pizza.
Not bad. Not bad at all. Yeah, I could get a better slice in NYC for $2, but this stuff is good on its own merit. Thick layer of real (if somewhat salty) cheese, competent crust and sauce. Better than a slice of Little Caesars or that Marketside stuff from Wal-Mart.
If I had a Costco membership I'm sure I'd be getting a whole pizza of this once a month or so.
looks like Marn's leg
I've just discovered these.
There amazing and only take 90 seconds to ""cook""
10/10, other than the Cheese Burger what other flavours should I try?
Help me /ck/. I love vegetables, but I'm an ignorant savage when it comes to cooking them. I've been living alone for the first time and for the past two months I've eaten basically nothing but pasta, meat, and rice and I'm sick of it.
Like I'll see a leek and think
>wow that looks good I wish I knew how to cook something that uses it
Cabbage! Oh cabbage is fantastic. When I used to live in the college dorms and eat at the dining halls I'd fill my plate with cabbage and broccoli and whatever the fuck mixed vegetable they had that day. But if I buy a head of cabbage it's like
>wtf do I do with this?
And then I don't know how the hell long they all last for. Are these potatoes bad? They don't smell, but they feel kind of soft. Can I just leave all of them in the plastic bags that I used to carry them from the grocery store? Are there ones that shouldn't be placed in the plastic bags? WTF ones do you refrigerate?
woody veg like broccoli, cauliflower and cabbage can be steamed until tender. chop into bite size pieces, discarding the hard inedible cores or stem ends.
succulent veg like eggplant and zuchinni and peas can be gently pan fried until soft.
use butter and salt to flavor at first.
make a green salad with thin sliced ored onion, tomatoes and red lettuce. it will keep for 2-3 days in the fridge if tightly covered
potatoes smell worse than a corpse when they go bad, you'll know.
veg that don't go in the fridge: potatoes, onions, squash, yams, tomatoes, bananas, melons
everything else should go in the fridge.
