Is there anything wrong with eating alone in a restaurant? I don't leave the house a lot but on my commute from and to school I often go through chinatown and I was wondering if people would think I was strange if I went into one of their bun shops. Scruffy NEET-looking guy by the way.

Nobody will give a shit in a Chinatown, just get your buns, eat them and leave like everyone else does.

It's fine to go out and eat alone. Anyone who says different has never had to drive all night from one job sight to another or worked on a deadline sensitive project from sunup to sundown and needed food with minimal effort. Sometimes you just need food pronto. Going to a hash house doesn't have to be some big heavily planned social ordeal.
i eat alone often
its normal
as a cook, i can tell you we get a lot of tickets with one order- 1 person at the table
I live in Glendale, California
Have awesome, friendly Armenian neighbors.
They always invite me over for their background cookouts.
They have amazing delicious food.
What ethnic foods have different with it people in your country introduced you to?

wtf you have against breadboxes?
I want to make some far breton, I've got eggs, flour and milk but my sugar is ancient (probably 4 years old at least) and has clumps.
It also wasn't stored in a tight container, just in a folded over paper bag.
Still good to use?
why exactly do you have 4 year old sugar?
also you might just want to replace it, it's cheap
>>7097824
Probably fine as long as it didn't get wet or infested with bugs.
>>7097827
I rarely use sugar, can't even remember the last time I made something sweet.
I'd get new sugar but it's Sunday here and all the stores are closed.
I caved and bought some bagged tea off Amazon by a friend's recommendation, was pretty good.
Drinking tea at any time of the day is perfectly acceptable.
>>7097760
I don't think I've ever bought bad tea. I'm drinking some blueberry one right now.
Bet you fags put sugar in it
>>7098429
na, just a dash of milk :^)
ITT: old pictures of food that is still around
Haven't checked lately, but I think they're still making that baked wheat thing.

What chinese cleavers do the pro's use? I want one of those nice razor thin cleavers you see them using at chinese restaurants, but im having a hard time finding one, i own one of these Winco KC-101 cleavers, and while its awesome for what it is, its twice as thick as i was expecting it to be, ive seen the Dexter Russell cleaver recommended, but from what i can tell it is a similar thickness to my Winco, looked at the Wok Shop cleavers too and i cant find much information on their cleavers, i want to be sure its a nice thin cleaver (1.5mm to 2mm thick) before ordering since...

Get one in Chinatown. Should ne $15-$20 tops.
>>7097630
Do note that thin Chinese cleavers aren't actually for cleaving, it's basically a chef's knife.
They use big thick knives for their cleavering needs.
CCK probably

What do you wear when cooking?
I'm looking for a cool apron that isn't too memey like pic related, something with a pattern or just fabric, maybe denim.
Post your aprons
my girlfriend made me one out of canvas
suck it
Also here's some piroshki I made earlier, got flour all over me bc I don't have an apron
>>7097607
These are amazing.
not as good as sour patch watermelon slurpees with a big bite tbqh
You know what else is amazing? Self respect. You should get some and drink some water.
Cold Stone had some sort of Mountain Dew milkshake seven or eight years ago that was pretty damn great.
Not even poor. I just couldn't muster the desire to eat properly.
What is /ck/ eating at this moment?
filet mignon with butter rice
nothing. think i'm gonna get taco bell or jack in the box later. haven't decided which. i might just drive my car into an abutment.
>>7097550
don't be ashamed bruh, you're a step up from crackers and butter, but both options are good as fuark
I'm making subject.
Probably posted it before, but whatever.
I prefer arm or blade roast, but any port in a storm.
I didn't want to stink up and smoke out my place (hood fan broken), so I did this,
and then this.
I think it's good enough.
Almost bought a bag out of morbid curiosity.
Anyone try these yet? It made me laugh at least.

Looks like they would taste like the cinnamon twists at taco bell

I'm slowly tryign to fix my picky eating habits.
I can't eat anything like a salad yet(triggers gag reflex 100% of the time) but I'm mixing more veggies into food I already eat, like sandwiches.
It's hard, I can keep my gag reflex from triggering when vegis are mixed with meat but it requires constant effort, I'm making progress though.
Any advice for someone such as myself?
>>7097315
kill yourself
>>7097339
I never had to eat vegis growing up, I'm just trying to eat healthier now that I'm older and wiser.

If you haven't been to the town of Sandwich, Kent you can't claim to truly love sandwiches.

If you haven't had sex with a woman, then you can't claim to truly be straight, OP.

I was at ACL when they implemented the ban.
I just went to La Barbecue. Much chiller and free beer.
How much do you tip a professional line stander?
homeless people will do just about anything for money
in fact, i knew a few who would wear orange vests and pretend to be parking lot staff downtown, in order to charge people 10 bucks to park in free parking spots.
