What's /ck/ drinking this week?
Had a bottle of saumur earlier this week. It was a little green even for me and I usually like that sort of thing, so I went new world for tonight. It wasn't a mistake.
I don't really enjoy wine that much, mostly because it's hard for me to justify spending $30-50+ for a barely midrange bottle compared to other types of alcohol. Still, picked out a nice bottle for me and my girl's anniversary this Sunday.
What's the Coffee Maker of choice, /ck/?
I've got a drip and a French press currently, and honestly I tend to go back to the drip often because it actually keeps the coffee warm in the meantime (I store the FP coffee in a thermos sometimes, but it's a bit of a pain) and it's easy. I've noticed also with the FP that if I grind the coffee too fine I get some major fucking sludge problems that turn the coffee to shit.
Is there a good middle of the road choice?

Yes. Buy a Chemex, a swan neck kettle, and a burr grinder and learn to make a decent pour-over brew. Clean-up consists of throwing away the used filter and rinsing the Chemex. Also, you get more subtle Flavours out of the coffee because the oils aren't crowding them out. Downside is time spent pouring the water, but if that is too much work for you feel free to stay with drip.

I grew up in seattle and this shit does not exist inside the state. you can buy cedar planks if you like, but most people who aren't morons just fucking smoke the fish normally.

Fuck, I wish I could occasionally get drunk and down a meal like that; working off the calories being a non issue.
If I ate one item in that pic I'd feel like shit for the rest of the night.
It's garbage food, but I just want to gorge myself on it every once in awhile, but my body just rejects it and says,"nope, don't even bother trying to take another bite or I'll stab you with my pocket knife from the inside for the next 10 hours".

i know scrambled eggs are usually made with butter or milk. But what happens if you make it with peanut butter instead? Is it nice? Just seems like a good way to get some extra protein in for me.
