Pic is my dinner.
Meat is cold marinated chicken that I cooked for lunch.
The big pile of white stuff in the middle is chili garlic curd dip, very mild, 0.3% fat and 12% protein.
The wedge is cream blue cheese and it is my favorite part of the meal.
Macros? Calories? I dunno, I get well over my needed protein for my weight but chocolate whey shakes are tasty.

I call bullshit. Denny's 'says' they have this on their menu, but a google image search only turns up a few pics.. I called a steak n' shake in my area and they said they couldn't make it until at night because of corporate..
I want one, but I'm not going to Denny's at 1am.. I got a 'day job', and while I wish I had the freedom of a junior in college majoring in sociology, there's no way I'm going to be in a Denny's at the time they 'say' they have them available..

So how does everyone store their recipes?
I've got a 3 ring binder with just printed out pages shoved in it and it's overflowing. I recently found a program called Paprika which is actually pretty cool. It has a built in browser so you can paste a webpage and it loads, then you can click a button that "saves" the recipe. I'm starting to try and build up mine with this, just dreading the day long chore it's gonna be to go through my binder and weed out what i want and don't want to import them.
So what's your method of organization?...

Yeah, that would work. I usually just make some salsa and put like half a cup of it in with the chicken stock as the cooking liquid. I've made it before using just plain tomato sauce as well, but I prefer crushed or stewed tomatoes to get some chunks of tomato in there.
If it's fresh jalapenos you plan to use, I would chop a couple of them up and saute with the onions at the start before you put the rice in, then add the canned tomatoes and stock or water.

What is /ck/'s favorite Chinese dish? I recognize that different Chinese places have different dishes and some do them better than others, but what is your go-to?
it's hard picking a favorite, but fried rice is that one item i must always order with every chinese meal.
i usually get it along with some battered and fried meat drenched in sweet and sour sauce.
Why do people think palm oil is bad? Shouldn't it be healthier for you than butter or lard? Convince me it isn't just another case of "it's cheap and readily availible so it's bad!"
Hey /ck/, which herbs/spices (or ingredients in general, but preferably herbs/spices) do you think make a small but noticeable difference in pasta sauces? I'm trying to perfect my recipe for a ragu and I want to find out every little trick
just basic paprika. add 1 tablespoon per quart of sauce.
the taste is so subtle. but it's there. and it improves everything.
