Is there a diet coke version of food, where its a little icky but sort of the same, and has zero calories? I'd be all over that shit because you'd get used to it quick
all non-starchy vegetables.
cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, celery, spinach, green beans, lettuce, etc.
they have calories. but it's so goddamn small that it might as well be negligible. you'll completely fill your stomach after eating 100 calories worth.
hey ck what can i do with lemongrass? i just got some from my local farmers market but i have no clue what to do with it
Suffering from a 4 day stomach bug, cant wait till im all better and can finally eat again. What should i indulge in when im back at 100%
I made some udon the other day and tried to make the broth with the konbu kelp but it just tasted like very lightly flavored water. I even put bonito flakes in it. How do I make it taste like the restaurants?
4x6 inch piece of kombu
4 cups water
1/2 cup bonito flakes
Wipe kombu with wet towel/paper towel to remove any grit (but leave white powder, that's the good stuff.)
Soak kombu in water overnight at room temp
Discard kombu, bring water to boil
Remove from heat, add bonito flakes, wait until they sink to the bottom 15-20 min
Do eat steaks whole day makes you horny /ck/?
It makes me so.
yay i am a chinese come from taiwan.
How old are you? I have never encountered a Taiwanese person calling themselves Chinese and I have spent almost a year there in different regions. At least most young people hate that shit. I'm calling bullshit. On top of that, regular steaks are neither very popular nor good in Taiwan.

Hey guys, working on making a cake for a coworker's birthday tomorrow. He mentioned liking chocolate coffee cake, ganache, and pecans. I know I can probably pull something together but the catch is that he went to culinary school, is great in the kitchen, is my supervisor, and I'm intimidated by letting him eat my food.
I'm pretty shy about letting people eat things that I make in general. Self conscious. I mostly do it for fun and I'm a total novice. Do you think there are tips you guys might have or links you can share so that this comes out alright?

You could make an opera.
Stuff is great !
>Making the main attraction
>For a professional cook
unless everybody else is bringing a cake you don't want to make the main attraction unless you have firm knowledge and expertise to make a cake
Seeing its a coworker too and not a friend I'm iffy on whether or not he'll try to publicly humiliate you
Can you guys help out a /b/tard on some simple to cook things I've seen a few food threads on /b/ and they look great so I thought I could try
Pic somewhat related
You can bump, but about once every 20 mins or so: welcome to the slowest board on 4chan.
We get threads like these several times a day, so people aren't really going to respond. Look through the archive/catalog for beginner cook threads and uni/college threads.
>go to little local bakery

how fucked am i?
is there a way to calculate the literal calories of this?
Please tell me there's a less drastic way to make eating sounds less annoying, because I think I'm going to top myself if I have to spend one more meal sat next to one of these fucks who eat like they've just dug their way out of 50 years of prison camp and wound up in the world's largest jello and fleshlight emporium.
That fucker's mouth looks like the mouth of a lamprey.
WHERE CAN I BUY A BOTTLE OF THIS STUFF?
I always ask for extra, but that just means a handful or two. I could kill a nigga for some of this sauce.

Hey guys, so I messed up and forgot to put my pork in the crock pot this morning so I just threw it in now, oh well, it'll still get done by tonight.
I used a Mccormick seasoning packet and the only things I did different were instead of plain water, I dissolved some chicken bouillon in the water, and I also threw a few dashes of Worcestershire sauce and liquid smoke in, along with some minced garlic and a sliced up onion.
Anyone have any other suggestions what to throw in? I've used the mccormick packet many times before and it always comes out tasty.
Why'd you add two highly salty seasonings (The packet and the bullion) at the same time/
>what to throw in
VEGGIES. Fuck the seasoning packet, get some aromatic veggies in there for flavor.
that anon is being overly aggressive for some reason. he just wanted to warn you that it might be a bit salty.
carrots and pork will taste good together. onions, garlic, celery, bell peppers are aromatic vegetables. parsley, thyme, and rosemary are herbs.
you could try adding some carrots and parsley.
Everything is good with garlic.
>make roasted garlic
>spread a layer of roasted garlic 1/4 inch thick on homemade bread
