I want to do a Dio Brando cosplay. Specifically from when he fought JoJo in the burning mansion.
I want to do his hair without a wig. What hair products/styling methods would you guys recommend?
Also, should I dye it or bleach it?
Pic is my hair. The only product I used was a leave-in conditioner

Considering how flamboyant Dio's hair is, I would really recommend a wig.

If you really insist on not wearing a wig, you'd have to bleach it. You can't dye blonde onto the dark brown color your hair seems to be. You can only dye darker than your hair, to go lighter you need to bleach. And you'd be blonde not just for whatever con you're doing this for, but until you dyed it dark again.
Doing this to your hair is damaging. If you condition and do everything right wrt your own hair needs (is it often greasy? How often do you wash it? etc) it won't be too bad, especially because it's just one time, but honestly, it's a lot less of a hassle to just go with a wig. Especially because bleaching on your own as someone who's never done it before can often lead to fuck ups, which cost more money, etc.
