I was going to do Meiko Shiraki this year but I wanted to lose some weight before I committed, and with university ongoing I only ended up losing a few pounds. I'm 5'5 210 pounds shorter then you but weight the same lol. I found out the best way to lose weight without having to run is. Don't snack, no sugary drink. No eating after 6pm. If you do eat something high in protein low in carbs. Avoid bread or anything wheat. Lift until your muscle gives up set a goal on how much you lift per day and increase it. Not a cosplay advise but I read that note about losing weight. I did that for 4 months 3 hours of lifting a day I had a cake like you, but then it became a 4 pack lol.
