What are the thins in Lolita that some people like but you hate. For me it's
-Striped otks
-Maxi pad head-dresses
-Black dresses with pastel prints
-Old school Lolita
And people with too many fucking hair bows
>>

Fatties who think they can fit into AP and stretch the seams.

I hate the people in lolita
>>
>>8988262
Too bad for you that AP makes plenty of fatty-friendly dresses. :))))))))))))
>>
>>8988337
I'm talking about the mega fatty ones that can't even fit into that. You know the ones. How stupid are you?
>>
Cof makes me lose hope, a good cord is so rare, and everything else is embarrassing to look at.
>>
>>8988252
The gap of skin you see when someone wears a dress too small for them or their OTK's are not long enough/fallen down or... both. 'Zettai ryƍiki' I think the term is.. Although, I don't think it applies to this.
>>
>>8988348
Both meaning short dress & fallen OTK's.
Pls fix, it's unpleasant.
>>
>>8988252
OTT lolita. I hate how people scoff at normal and casual lolita. Like wigs being the norm, wth.
>>
folks that refuse to give up on trying to make bittersweet lolita a real thing.
>>
Nose piercings and ear gauges. They look ugly most of the time outside of lolita as well but they don't fit with the aesthetic at all so they always look out of place.
>>
>>8988361
Are there any instances you've seen this done well?
I have ear gauges, if they matched my coordinate and weren't super IN YOUR FACE, would that change your opinion?

I dislike underskirts that make a knee length dress tea length, it's just super awkward 90% of the time.
>>
>>8988346
when Lolitas say 'cord'.
>>
Fatties in lolita (chubby is okay, if you don't fit into VM/MM that's fine, but if you can't fit into AP/Baby, you need to lose weight), shitty dyed hair, unusual piercings, shitty handmade things, and people who show up in non-lolita on a regular basis to meets.

Oh, and anyone under 18 in lolita. I'd be willing to make an exception if I ever found anyone unusually mature who actually had the money for the fashion under that age, but I've yet to find such a person.
>>
>When petticoats are too short so Lolitas get that bump in their skirt before it just falls straight down.
>Skirts that fall in the awkward one to three inch space above the knee.
>Mousy girls who put all their money in to their coord and forget hair, makeup, and skincare.
>>
>>8988382
About the weight thing, that's assuming you're the target height for those brands. Obviously a taller lolita would have larger measurements overall.
>>

Chocolate prints.

Lolitas who warship angelic pretty and hate you for not feeling the same as them about the brand.
>>
Not a fan of helicopter headbows, those big twin-tail wigs and super OTT sweet, but those things are dying out anyway.

>>8988262
Same, but mostly the attitude that 'everyone can be lolita uwu' and therefore it is evil bullying to tell someone their clothes do not fit. It's really awkward to sit next to someone at a meetup whose armpit fat is oozing out and whose boobs are clearly being squished underneath the waistband of their dress. I don't think fat girls necessarily make bad lolitas but it's more difficult for them, and it doesn't help when they keep coming up with excuses as to why they can't wear anything that fits.
>maybe get it altered? "but muh resale value!"
>get something made to your measurements? "but muh favorite prints!"
>maybe get something made to fit you in a color matching the print and wear it with the print's tote bag and accessories? "but muh God-given right to wear AP just like the skinny girls!"
>have you tried losing weight? "OMG BODYSHAMING"
I've honestly started avoiding the fat girls at meetups. They can be nice, but every other conversation is about how they can't fit brand and how CoF's audience is discriminating against them for being fat and how 'naturally skinny' girls are so lucky and I can't really take it any more.

>>8988369
Not who you're replying to, but I think stretched ears always look icky and changing the piercing's color to one that matches the coord doesn't change that. It's your body, though, I can't tell you what to do.
>>
>>8988400
I agree with everything you just said.
>>
>>8988252
>OTT lolita.
It looks tacky and costumey. 99% of the time. Also i hate how it is the "norm" now and your coord is mediocre/boring if you do casual or old school,.. Fuck that.

>newbies
not all but a lot of them need to be spoonfed, whine about it being expensive, whine about how it's hard,.. and it's a pain.

>"it's not a phase duh"
I hate those edgy tumblr girls type that suddenly go "i wanna be sweet lolita hurdur" and buy a milky planet replica or something. Also their usually terribly bleached hair that don't go well at all with lolita.

>sensitive people
let it be SJW or not, i can't stand people who are offended by everything and will find a problem in everything. But in lolita it's grinding my gears even more for some reason. You can't criticize anything or else you're a big meanie elitist. Sensitive fags are the worst.

>new lolita mentality
Now (even though in the past it was still present) it's become so much about being efamous/having a big closet/... and only wearing it for meets/conventions/.. like fuck, no, it's not what lolita is.

Also i really dislike fatties in lolita that don't make any effort to lose weight, i'm not talking chubbies but like, really overweight girls? in general fatties don't look good in normal clothes but in lolita it's just worse.
>>
>>8988384
mmmyes that last one.
>>
People with more money than sense in lolita
People whose parents buy their brand and they boast about it knowing it's a tacky thing to boast about
People who act like Lolita's HAVE to be bitchy and uncouth because they're wearing frilly dresses and don't want the stereotype of being nice

I especially don't get the last one. I'm not ladylike by any means but when people have to go over the top and swear loudly and act all edgy in public it's so annoying. I get not wanting to be seen just for your clothes, but you don't have to go above and beyond to be an asshole just because of that
>>
>replica-chans
>girls who squeeze themselves in clothes that don't fit
>OTT anything
>babydoll cuts, especially on printed dresses
and one very particular girl in my comm who'se an adult but VERY close to her mother, and said mother keeps telling her that all the girls telling her to wear a petticoat that doesn't stick out two inches/OTKs instead of kneesocks + sheer tights/proper length skirts are bitches and meanies.
>>
>>8988252
>-Striped otks
>-Maxi pad head-dresses
>-Old school Lolita

I'm actually triggered
>>
>>8988445
>people going out of their way to be edgy so they're not confused as being nice

This so much. It's so teenage edgy and it's like those stupid mall goth and emo types grew up and got into frilly fashion. I think they ruin the attitude in lolita because they're so adamant about there being no "lovely sweetie pie niceness just because we're lolitas" so they become the polar opposite. It's so snowflakey and along the lines of "I'm not like the other girls", except replace girls with lolitas. I wish it was called out more because it's embarrassing.

I'm not like a lifestyler or think people need to get some free pass because they're a lolita, but those idiots act like there's no middle ground and being a salty, unsavory person in a frilly dress makes them some kind of rebel. Meanwhile, the rest of us are just decent people and don't need to be raging angry autists and edgelords to try and feel better.
>>
>>8988369

I fucking hate coloured contact lenses. Even more natural looking ones, it just doesn't make sense to me as to why you would alter your appearance like that.
Lolita is not cosplay and you don't have to copy the look of a certain character. So why bother? I can understand that some people wear wigs, because it matches their coord better, but your eye colour is not a part of your coord. Imo all eye colours are beautiful, there is no need to change them.
>>
>>8988523
??? They make your eyes look bigger anon, which is obviously something desireable in lolita for the wide-eyed look.

I like my blue eyes, but because they're a very light blue, they come across as very jarring in photos where i want a 'doll eyed' look. Large diameter brown or even darker blue contacts help unify my eyes with my makeup and improve my appearance in photos.

The whole point of realistic/casual lenses is daily wear, not cosplay.
>>
>>8988523
Agreed.
Makes Lolita look like a costume to me too.
>>
>>8988494

I disagree with half of your opinions, but thats okay. But fucking bearded lolitas, I wish they would stop
>>
>>8988488
Yeah I don't get that either. It actually started Lolita, fact. Without old school, there's nothing. That's like Speed Racer saying 'I hate cars'.
>>
Plain walmart tee-shirts used as casual.
>>
body-hate, AP's skirt length, cat prints, those strappy calf-high fake-velvet Bordello shoes, those boring white lacey BTSSB otks that everyone and their mother coords with every outfit, strawberry prints (I like some but yeesh, the influx over the years!), open-toed shoes, skirt pulling in photos, BJD tights, floppy bonnets, michelin man sleeves, the fact that brand shoes will never be made for Ent's like me, and flat lifeless hair.
>>
>>8988531
No, you can achieve bigger looking eyes through make-up. Apart from that coloured contacts never look doll-like to me, but soulless and robotic, at best costumey. But that's just my humble opinion. I just think it's the wrong direction that people in this fashion become insecure because of their fucking eyes.
>>
>>8988494
tbf I'd rather someone be a full set fag than an ita
>>
>>8988523
you do realize normies in korea and japan wear colour contacts to make their eyes look prettier and bigger. It's not just a cosplay thing.
>>
>>8988252
You have shit taste
>>
>>8988389
Obvious typo that one really shouldn't care about but AP with battle ships though
>>
>>8988585
>insecure
anon no-one is saying lolita has made them insecure about their eye color. I wear them a lot because I like being able to switch eye colors. That's it.
>>
The goddamn fucking short bodice length that is everywhere makes me want to scream. I'm not even tall, I just have a little boob and a long torso but it's unflattering as fuck. Can it please go away already?

Matching blacks. For gods sake it's impossible. Sorely tempted to just dump all my cottons into a dye bath so they'll match and I'm not dealing with 50 shades of black.

Peter Pan collars. The bigger they are the more I dislike them. I love Oldschool, but that's just one aspect I can't deal with.
>>
>>8988605
On that note
>trying to match browns
I wear lots of classic and try to have brown as a base color in many coords but goddamn it's impossible to even match shit (hurhur) from the same brand, let alone different brands. Cool brown and warm brown together look downright disgusting.
>>
>>8988599
Yes it was a typo because my phones a dumb cunt.
>>
Teaparty shoes are so ugly and all look like they're made for toddlers
>>
-Underskirts that are used to lengthen dresses
-People pretending to be authorities on lolita fashion when they really know very little
-Western lolitas in general (especially Americans)
>>
OTT Classic.
>>
>>8988618
Let's not forget matching ivories/creams/beiges because brands don't even stay consistent with their own colours.
>>
>>8988618
>>8988605
>trying to match white
I don't even have the option of dumping it in a vat of dye. Matching any color is suffering, especially between different brands.
>>
>>8988670
>>8988674
True. In fact, fuck color matching in general. Fuck everything.
>>
>>8988523
I use contact lens because I don't like to wear glasses with lolita. But I wear them in the smaller diameter and with a natural color, them don't make my eyes bigger.
>>
>>8988582

I kind of know the feel about the strawberry print thing. There are 2 or 3 I absolutely adore and then the rest are just meh.I feel like last years Melty Berry Princess was a huge clusterfuck
>>
>>8988655
I thought I was the only one. I don't understand why they're so popular after all these years.
>>
>>8988655
>>8988687
A while ago I gave in and bought a pair of teaparty-esque shoes from Bodyline during a sale. They're comfy as fuck, but I feel so awkward wearing them. Never before have I noticed so many people staring disapprovingly at my feet.
>>
>>8988687
There's no accounting for taste.

I don't like most non-prescription glasses as I don't get what they actually contribute to the overall look (except on something like a librarian lolita).
>>
>>8988678
Fucking preach. I mention black because goth problems but brown and white are the devil too.

Color matching is more luck than skill, with a healthy dose prayer involved.

To add
>Velveteen matinence.
God I love velveteen but it's a devil to care for. You can't chuck it in the wash, you can't just throw it on any old hanger, you can't let it sit somewhere too long, and god save you if it develops any musty odors. It's my second favorite material but it's such a pain.

Because in Japan, they say coordinate instead of outfit.
It's not "co-ord" either, but "coord".
In the same vein:
>"petitcoat" instead of petticoat
>"barette" instead of beret (I've mostly seen German lolitas do this)
>Saying "burando" unironically
>high-waisted shit everywhere
>people pretending that brand is public property and needs to be preserved for its inevitable re-entry into the second-hand market.
>>
>>8988337
>>8988405
>and only wearing it for meets/conventions/.. like fuck, no, it's not what lolita is.
Seriously, I have no opportunity to wear it outside of meets. It'd be inappropriate and impractical.
>>
I hate that you can't tell someone they're having fit issues without them getting buttmad. It isn't always about how big/small someone is. Even smaller girls sometimes have fit issues, and I think that should be considered a valid comment when someone asks for concrit on ANY platform.
>>
>>8988369
Have them match the coord really well, or have your ears mostly covered by your hair. I think I've seen cute ear plugs for sale somewhere, but sorry, I don't remember where. You'll get hate for it no matter what, but you probably knew that. I personally like them, never seen them work with lolita before (except maybe gothic), but I'm open to it.
>>
>>8988848
>"barette" instead of beret (I've mostly seen German lolitas do this)
Probably because in german it's called a "Barett".

>People bitching about knees showing so now people buy under skirts that look like shit

I'm I the only one who doesn't mind a little knee? Obviously not too short but it seems like western lolita's fear of showing knee has made people wear under skirts that ruin the lolita silhouette.
>>
Nitpickers who have been in the fashion for less than a year and have one shitty coord. Or none at all.
>>
>>8988899
On that note, I hate it when people bitch about other people only wearing lolita to meets and tea parties because most of the time it just sounds like them schlicking to the fact that they're "more lifestyle" than the rest of us.

As much as I understand this, some people in their late 20s- early 30s are just as bad as teenagers. If it has to do with life goals and mile stones, unfortunately some things just happen later. If you're going on about this from a motherhood angle you can just fuck off.

Loli
>>
>>8989198
People have been using it since forever and other people have disliked its use since forever, because it's so strongly associated with anime pedo porn. I got into lolita in 2011. My experience has been the opposite of yours - the older lolitas I know avoid using it because of the negative connotations, but young teens and noobs that join the comm are apparently too innocent or stupid to know what "loli" means and think it's just a cute short form so they throw it around in public. Yes, "lolita" has negative connotations too but if someone Googles it they will at least get pages relevant to the fashion eventually, which doesn't happen if you Google "loli"

There's a site called Coordisnap where Japanese girls upload their ă‚łăƒŒăƒ‡ă‚ŁăƒăƒŒăƒˆ, or ă‚łăƒŒăƒ‡ă‚Ł for short. That's why they were called coords. I just assume the Japanese adopted another language word because "koordinetto" does sounds does sound a little cuter than "autofitto".

On that note, I never understood why it was a petticoat. When I joined lolita and got onto shop sites they were called panniers (パニス), not petticoats. Most Japanese shops still label them as panniers.
>>
>>8989856

God, yes.

Also girls who shit on other girls wearing their dream dresses, not for wearing it badly, but for some shit like wearing it in a different style, not being skinny or pretty enough, nitpicking the coord, and generally implying they could do better if they owned the dress. Like, hun, if you can't afford the dress you definitely cannot afford quality accessories to do it better.

Also girls who seem to think they're somehow better than other people for having a rare dream dress, and then they start turning the conversation into some pity party for themselves, their own self and them alone. Why would you even start a convo if you just wanted to talk about how miserable your dream dress is making you, go see a therapist for that shit.
>>
>>8988899
Ah, i mean i totally understand if you can only wear it then. Sorry if i sounded like some elitist bitch there. Just that some girls treat it like some costume and it kinda annoys me.
>>
>>8989379
A-fucking-men
>>
>>8989413
And it affects you, how? Unless you're competing I don't see how this could bother anyone. It makes for nice photos though.
>>
>>8989864
Because "pannier" has a completely different English meaning if you look it up, so I suppose it's to avoid confusing outsiders and newbies. Just another English loan word in Japanese that's used differently to its actual meaning. Whereas coordinate isn't used in general English but it still makes sense in terms of it being a coordinated outfit, or a set of clothes you've chosen to match together.

>>
>>8988664
"ew your knees put on an underskirt!!!! uwu~" this shit right here makes me want to burn something
>>
>>8990128

TIL, just looked up pannier in general and got something really different from what I expected.

I generally hear about panniers as the constructs that go under historical gowns, with the petticoats being another piece that goes on top to smooth it out but doesn't provide any shape by itself, so calling it pannier made more sense to me than petticoat.

Thanks, anon.

>>8988974
God that's annoying as fuck. I mean yea, you could get some skirts on closet child for that much usually but they're not gonna be the new, popular releases or anything.
>>
>>8988977
To be honest I've never really understood why it is so bad to specifically say you go on cgl. I mean yea bragging about it to people who don't go on it and don't care is retarded and cringey but it's like you can't even mention the name or passingly say you read something interesting on it or got some help from it even just on your personal facebook to someone else who goes on there without people all calling you a mean bitch. Other communities don't have that insane witch hunt attitude about their respective 4chan boards like lolitas do. Nobody in the Touhou fandom gives a fuck about people going on jp and nobody in the firearms community is gonna give you shit about going on k. I don't even think the cosplay community really cares as much either but god forbid you even mention the word 4chan around a group of lolitas and you'll be kicked out of your community for being a bully.
>>
>>8989378
Oh god i cringed while reading about your eyes that sounds awful. I also completely agree. It's really fucking annoying when people are always telling me to get contacts. Like, fuck off and mind your own business at least I take my glasses off for pictures.
>>
>>8990251
Probably because the lolita community is so tight-knit and personally involved so many people actually know each other. If someone frequents /cgl/ it may be that she's the one who has been posting your mutual comm member in the ita threads, which would feel like a betrayal. In like, Touhou fandom it may be that she's the one who called your waifu shit but who really cares?
Cosplay is less tight-knit than lolita but the same can happen within smaller area comms if there has been a lot of drama or something.

For most communities /cgl/ is just an anonymous discussion forum. For lolitas, /cgl/ is part anonymous discussion forum and part high school burn book.

It depends on the local comm. I've been in comms where people (including mods) were open about going on /cgl/, but those were the comms that didn't have any drama on BtB or /cgl/ so it was obvious those individuals were sincere when they said they "only went for the inspo threads" or what the fuck ever. But I've also been in comms where /cgl/ was a massive taboo because that comm had had recent drama or comm members were still being posted here by a vendetta.
>>

It's better if they wear the poor quality replica desu.
Haven't you seen some fatty chans squeeze into brand and overstretching the thing busting the seams?
Now that really sucks when you end up buying a piece from them without them telling about the damage. Happened to me.
>>
>>8989856
I have a girl like this in my comm, but instead she freaks out over anyone owning any hint of brand and will immediately assume they're loaded with a huge wardrobe.
> "OMG, anon! You're wearing AP AGAIN? Where do you even get the money for all of this brand?! Can I touch it?? Pleeeease?!"
She always talks about it in this jealous, accusatory tone that gets pretty tiring to deal with. I try to be fair and remember that she's still a high schooler, but at the same time she works a job and has even bought secondhand brand from me so it's not like she doesn't understand how budgeting works.

"I am a cute boi" and "Male/Female pronouns pls" assholes in CoF...no one cares about your sexuality, no one asked, and the possibility of anyone on CoF addressing you in anything other than "You" is just slim.
This is some prime attention whoring right there
>>
>>8990251
It's way more tightly knit in lolita than in cosplay. Most other boards are much bigger, but lolita is very small and community based. Saying you're a gull just puts a target on you, since lolitas also seem to have double the drama of most other types of communities in contrast to our size. Should someone ever start posting people to /cgl/ or drama related sites, they will immediately look to you. No one is going to believe you only go to /cgl/ for Lolita General when ita threads, CoF crit threads, and so on are kind of a sport here.

I still fucking can't breathe. I should have looked at the reviews, rather than word of mouth. I fit into AP and Meta easily, but this was AP and only partially shirred. Measurements fit me, but the online reviews said they ran small and dumbass me didn't look before buying.

"Transboys" in lolita. If you're going to make no effort to present as male at all outside of lolita and are actively being hyper feminine, you can't really bitch about people calling you she. Tbh anybody who claims to be trans but makes zero effort to pass probably isn't trans. Slapping a binder on for Tumblr selfies doesn't make you male.
>>
>>8994650
Are trans "people" even human?

We shouldn't support their mental illness
>>
>>8994651

Nah I've got no problem with actual trans people, it's the transtrenders that annoy me.
>>
>>8994644
Wrong thread, but since you asked.......don't fetishize the fashion. If you get to know a lolita and like her, don't be a creep. Generally the same steps as getting a normal gf, but with the added bonus of not fetishizing her fashion choices and loving her when she's not dolled up as well.

To keep it on topic, I hate the people who think that rules can never, ever, ever be broken. If you can break a rule or two (say, shoulders showing or no hair accessory) and still look amazing, more power to you! Of course, newbies should wait to experiment until they're good at making nice, cohesive coords.

>>
>>8988523
I agree, and dislike wigs as well. It usually puts an outfit into costume territory for me which is not the purpose of fashion. I just want to see people wearing lolita like normal clothing, not something that's treated like cosplay or something to only wear extravagantly or formulaically.

When I see those photoshoots from Chinese lolitas they just look like cosplayers - they tend to look uncanny and artificial, like they've composed themselves as a character instead of just being themselves.
>>
>>8990254
I used to take them off. Now I just take them off for selfies when I'm trying to show my makeup better. I think my face looks better with them. Just got a pair that's pretty neutral and works for everything and then I add more frames to suit different coords.

I have some weirdo eye problems that make it impossible to wear contacts. Glasses it is for me.

I don't mind wigs for certian occasions, or for people whose hair just won't work. My hair was thinning out a lot due to some medication I was taking and honestly, I just kinda prefer to wear them. But usually it's natural looking wigs.

It's only when people clearly just plop them on their head with no idea how to style them or wear really cheap costume-quality wigs, matted wigs, cosplay wigs... etc that it's really embarrassing, especially when you're over here just trying to wear something a little more toned down due to the occasion.
>>
>>8995351
One of my friends had eye surgery, so she doesn't need her glasses anymore. But honestly I think she looks better with glasses on then off.

I like seeing girls utilize their natural hair when they make it look nice. I'm the type that usually wears wigs for lolita because my natural hair super thin in texture and volume. For the stress it'd take to try to make it decent, I'm just better off with a wig.
>>
>>8994785
I think it depends on how thick you are. If you are really thick and wide, have huge udders, and the ONLY brand you can fit in has full shirring than no. But if you mostly just have a large cup size it sure as hell looks better than boob loaf.
>>
Probably unpopular opinion.

I hate card suits. I fucking hate when a perfectly good print has those fucking stupid suit symbols plastered/ shoehorned on it because the artists/ designers were either to lazy or unimaginative to think of something that actually goes with the dress. It has stopped me buying a dress on many occasion. I swear to outsiders we must seem like compulsive gamblers.

I also hate it when alice themed stuff is shoehorned in. Just eeeeeeerrrrrrrrrgggggg. Fuck. WE FUCKING GET IT! Alice in WL was a massive influence on the direction of the fashion etc etc etc. MOVE THE FUCK ON.

Any way that's just me. Sorry for the outburst. Never let this hate out before.

>What are the thins in Lolita that some people like but you hate.
The double gender standard with lolita vs ouji.

This includes:

Lolitas who make sexual comments about oujis, especially male or androgynous ones, while crying elsewhere about sexual harassment and objectification of women...

Lolitas who whine when people think they're dressing like little girls, but see ouji as dressing like a kawaii li'l boy uwu...

Women who get offended at the connection people make between lolita fashion, Lolita the book/movies, and lolicon, but go ahead and use "shota" to describe people (usually themselves) in ouji...

Male oujis getting a fucking gold star and hundreds of likes just for showing up with a dick, regardless of the fit of their clothes or the quality of their coord...

Female oujis doing sexy fujoshi poses and getting "yasss hunty slaayy" while male lolitas have to constantly be on guard against showing the slightest hint of sexuality lest they be reviled as sissies...

>tl;dr
I don't like how people use ouji as an outlet for their sexuality while condemning the remotest hint of sexuality expressed by or toward lolitas.

Cut the shit, you fucking hypocrites.

One year at an anime convention there was this ita dude on the bus in a satin pastel Milanoo monstrosity who started conversation with me. I responded politely, since I thought he was just out in babby's first lolita. An anime convention is a pretty good opportunity to try out dressing in something new or different, even if you get it totally wrong and look like shit. But midway in the conversation he tried to imply that "loli" was an acceptable way to shorten the word lolita for the fashion, with a smile on his face that seemed a bit on the lewd side. Then and there my suspicions of him being a sissy shot up from 1% to 80%, and I firmly told him no, that was NOT an acceptable shorthand for the fashion, because it was mixing up an unfortunate anime trope with a street fashion, and that he should never ever say that in front of lolitas because they HATED it.

Don't know if he actually decided to join the fashion seriously afterwards. But at least he can't say he had no warning if he later attempts to join a comm and gets his appearance torn to shreds online.

As >>9001492 stated, you two are dense. I just took this post >>9000162, switched "brolita" with "lolita", and made the minimum necessary changes to make fun of the brolita-hater.

Here are the actual things I hate in lolita.

Throwing in any shoes or accessories from VW, into any lolita coordinate. Yes, VW and punk fashion were huge factors in making what lolita fashion is today. Yes, RHS were her thing and are a staple of old school. Just because it's VW doesn't automatically make it suitable for lolita. VW is punk. If you're going to set punk pieces with lolita pieces, the resulting coord better be cohesive, or otherwise you'll look like an expensive ita.

Lolitas who refuse to get a fitted bra. VS does not count. VS abuses the sister-size system by making a very limited number of sizes with a lot of inventory in each (this cuts down on production costs). The employees are trained to give anybody who walks in there a size which VS stocks, regardless of whether it fits. VS employees are trained to sell bras first; the fit is secondary.

Go to a Nordstrom or a bra boutique, and get a fitting there. The bras will likely be more costly (especially if your size turns out to be one that has less inventory stocked). But you can budget a bit, by telling the clerk you will need to take a rain check on that one bra, write down your bra size on a piece of paper (as well as the brand/style of that one bra that fit you particularly well), and then go order on bra sites which have good return policies such as bravissimo or figleaves.

Getting a well-fitted bra will make all clothes look better on you. If you can now and then afford to splurge on a dress that costs $300, you sure can afford to buy two $150 bras. They will last you several years of constant wear, too, assuming you take care of them properly: rotate your bras so that none are worn two days in a row (this allows the elastic to "rest" between wears), and don't dry them in the dryer.

I hate that some people take the fashion too seriously. And vendetta-chans, but you will have these types of people in all aspects of life. It just feels more prominent because of the online comm.

On topic:

abnormal colored wigs drive me crazy. In okay with natural wigs because I wear them when ever I'm dressing up in and out of Lolita just because my hair is super thin and can't hold a curl no matter what I do.

Wigs that have seen better days. Seriously, you can get a decent wig for like 20 dollars at wig shops.

Receiving a used item in the mail that reeks of body Oder. Was your shit please. Holy god.

Sweet prints with crosses.

That spiky halo thing people like to wear with religious prints.

it's also linked to red meat consumption so what's your point bro

anyway, on topic
>insisting that glasses ruin coordinates/'get contacts', some people physically can't wear contacts don't be such a jerk
>thinking that because you wear lolita you're somehow better than girls who don't
>lolitas with sticks up their arses about perfect colour matching, half a shade difference between your pinks isn't going to ruin an entire outfit.

>get matching glasses!
>they're expensive
>no, this online store is cheap
As if I even want to wear cheap pink plastic frames. People who don't wear glasses need to stfu.
>then take them off before getting your picture taken
>all of my rage

Seriously I hate how people get all snobbish about glasses. mine are not even that visible since they are frameless. But dear god no they are not frilly and cute and don't say some brand on them.

Wait

Okay I would totally buy brand glasses if they made them.

I smoke, rarely at meets, but I am always far away from everyone when I do. I about lost it when a new girl started vaping in the middle of everyone at a meet.

my glasses say ray-ban on them
they're hipster glasses (not the new circle fad, the old thick frame square ones)
I guess they fit with all of my coords now because burando

I have hipster ray bans also. I actually really enjoy them but have been told they look like shit with my outfits so I just keep them in their case when I'm out and suffer blind. I hate wearing contacts and they always fall off my left eye.

They look like shit on everyone. I don't get why someone would ever wear glasses like that, they do nothing but hide the face
>>
>>9002731
That can be your preference anon. Keep doing you.
>>

ayyy. mine are slightly larger (more square than rectangular). have to replace them this year anyway and I'm considering going for something that's still large but with slightly thinner frames. I tend to not wear them with lolita but honestly I don't care that much about what gulls or other lolitas think, especially since I don't post myself online much. I look much better with them on too in my opinion, they very slightly enlarge my eyes imo

No, I am arguing you are more likely to have health problems like heart disease and the beetus if you are fat. Not that everyone who is slim is healthy.
>>

I personally like myself in larger frames too.

I had some thick rimmed black plastic ones for a long time. But last year I got some nice black and gold metal frames that have a slight cat-eye shape. They're really cute and go with just about anything. I've been buying cutesy plastic frames from cheaper places to go with more ott sweet coords. But because of my prescription even cheap frames end up being like $55 and that's without the anti-glare coating that my normal glasses have.

Same here
Commented like a dummy and then scrolled up and face palmed for my own mistake

Red meat consumption is actually more often linked to colon cancer than to cardiovascular disease.

Agreed
>also
Choke and her scamming in general
>>
>>9003026
Choke doesn't scam.

I wished she still posted on here.
>>
>>9003030
I hate it when people do this in cgl but it's relevant this time...
Hi Choke!
>>
>>9003026
just fuck right off, go buy a Gothic lolita wig if you hate yourself so much
>>
>>9003036
Not Choke.

Where is the proof that she scams? You Anons dragged her into the mud asking for proof on other things.
>>
>>9003037
Literally loads of deleted comments of her customers saying they never received their wigs.
Go lick someone else's asshole, maybe someone who's not deceitful
>>
>>9002731
I actually agree on this. I used to have a pair when I wasn't really that "experienced" in glasses, and I did like them back then
Now that I've had some other pairs, whenever I look at pics where I had them or try them on I just cringe because they look so bad
Obviously it's just my opinion, if the other anons like them, then good for them! Finding glasses you like is more of a pain in the ass than the actuall problem of shitty sight
>>
>>9002600
>>9003288
I hate glasses like these in lolita too, and I used to have a pair. I'd wear my prescription cosplay circle lenses instead.
When it was time for new ones I picked something dainty and cute.

Jane Marple has made them before.
