Sorry gulls, I tried to delete and remake but it wouldn't let me. It was just the first image I got when I googled "indie jewelry" because I thought it would be conceited to start a thread with my own piece.

If it's that egregious, maybe the janitor can nuke it and someone else can start a new thread.

Okay? You wanna lie down for a while, poopsie? Did OP offend your delicate sensibilities by posting a picture of a young woman wearing jewellery? Maybe you should give the Internet a break if mundane things like that trigger you so much.

Back on topic, does anyone know what material people use to make those delicate translucent fairy wings?

Do you prefer if a shop is strictly gothic or sweet accessories? Or is it okay to have a mix of both? I know this sort of thing is important to branding.
>>
>>8989489
I prefer having them split up for aesthetic reasons. I like following shops that have kind of homogenous products, because I know what to expect and it looks nicer.
So I think you could do both sweet and gothic if it was like automatic honey, which all have a similar look. But if it's like rat skulls and pastel resin, I wouldn't do it.
>>
>>8989489
Have seperate 'labels'?
Depends on how many peices of each you intend to do.
>>
>>8989489
Honestly as long as you have things labeled/sectioned nicely it should be fine. I'd rather not slog through pages of sweet to find gothic accessories though, so having them split would be brilliant.

I half wonder if I should take video to capture the glitter for some items. My shitty camera doesn't do it justice in a photo alone.
>>
>>8989501
i do this in my etsy storefront. my main items are gothic and it seems odd to keep the sweet, girly things with the mostly unisex gothic things.

as for organization, do people prefer items to be sorted into sections by type (necklaces, brooches, earrings) or theme/color? which is easiest when shopping?

i usually prefer to browse by item type, unless the store has really consistent themes that can be built into matching sets.

>>8989842
this looks really cool. have you tried taking a picture at an angle or in different lighting?
>>
>>8989842
also, many sellers of resin crafts have youtube channels where they post updates that show off details. that could be a route to take for you
>>
>>8989883
No matter the lighting or angle, it still doesn't seem to capture the effect you get when seeing it in person. It's got three different types of glitter in there.

Selfpost: ghastlygear.etsy.com.

I am building up stock for upcoming cons and festivals. Once school is finished for the semester I will be going ham with specifically ouji-themed items. My practice resin runs have come out all right, and I have so many crown stickers and charms and swords and clocks and keys... Now, I only need the time.

Would gulls with indie shops be interested in forming a network? For example, we could make an Etsy team, or a treasury. It would be nice to have a sure way to keep in touch and follow your gulls' work, and maybe even do trades for reviews. I do not have it in my budget to buy but would be interested in trading!
>>
>>9000441
I'm not a shop owner but I have a soft spot for handmade goods. I buy from etsy regularly & would be interested in seeing what kind of goods gulls sell.
>>
>>9000441
I love all of that but the resin with beads looks horribly tacky. Sorry, anon.
>>
>>9001028
Agreed. Letter beads are hard to pull off in resin, unless tacky is what you're aiming for.

If you are interested in more art-based things, the Artist Alley thread has a spreadsheet with some seagull artists listed, along with their online stores. How would we like tp organize it? Those of us on Etsy can make a closed team, in which members must be invited. Looking at the page to create a team, we can have: a custom logo (170x100 pixels) for the team, along with a name, links to websites (including, perhaps, non-etsy seagull sellers, but Etsy might not like that). Being in an Etsy team will let us have private discussions and even organize events. Read more here: https://www.etsy.com/help/article/332

Suggested names, none of which I am very attached to:

>>9003825
on Etsy, teams you are part of are visible to buyers as well. seeing what team a shop you like is part of can lead to checking those other shops out without leaving the site/app. members of a team can also use team tags, so gulls who are buyers but not sellers could search #teamGALA or whatnot on Etsy to see what other gulls are offering for sale. it is a feature that will help cross-promote within Etsy itself.

extending the general network across multiple platforms is not a bad idea, though. i would not mind a Facebook group also existing, especially since it would connect non-Etsy sellers, but i would not use it much myself. i tend to withstand Facebook (and social networking in general) in very small, controlled bursts, often weeks or months apart - but that is just me. if another gull would like to take charge of a FB or even G+ group, i would see no reason not to join.

I really love making jewelry and having my online store. It makes me so happy to when people order, like not in a greedy way but in a "someone used their hard earned money to buy something I made, I feel really honored."

But I have a ton of conventions coming in the summer so I've found it a bit hard to manage my store as well. I've been on hiatus for months from events

>sorry for personal blog

How do people manage doing irl events and selling online?

I used to major in marketing in college so I have a good understanding of branding. I've been carefully planning the opening of my Etsy store, but one important thing is holding me back and that is deciding the name. I can't create my logo and order business cards without it.
A lot of the names I've come up with are already in use or too close to names already in use. I want the name to encapsulate the style of creations I'm selling. It can't be too sweet or too dark. Has anyone else encountered these woes?

Pic sorta related, test pieces made these months ago.

I feel you. The powder I used is a vibrant gold like this when placed in the mold (the only pic I have showing it), but then it bonds to the resin that color. No idea why? I'm still seeking a better alternative.
>>
>>9004491
Maybe try one with a black frame and a maroon background? Or navy? As I am a resin beginner, I can't help much with that. Playing around with colors in general may help though. Or maybe there is a way to bond the color to the charm in a similar way to the frame so they are both the duller shade?
>>
>>9004466
>It can't be too sweet or too dark.
I don't haven any actual word suggestions, but maybe try for something luxurious and formal-sounding? A lot of the stuff you've posted gives me a sort of regal vibe. Maybe something with gilded, since you've don a lot of stuff with gold? Gilded Manor or something like that?

Also triple dubs checked.

Not fond of the middle green acorn, and the choice in chain isn't very cute IMO. I would save those materials for keychains or extension bits at the back of a necklace. Smaller links would be a big improvement. You have a lot of potential, each of the pieces are adorable, though the leaves look too simple next to the detailed acorns. Nyan Rara is a Japanese UV resin YouTuber who does this a lot, if you can parse moonrunes. if not, just seeing the process in action could be instructive.

GALA has been created and invitations sent to those who specifically named their shops ITT (3 so far). The icon is trash, I made it on my phone, if no one else provides a nice one I can make a slightly better one in MSPaint. My tech is very limited. A better icon made by someone with skill and nice software is preferred.

If you are interested in joining the Etsy team and did not receive an invite, please leave your shop name ITT and I will track you down to invite.

my plans for doll parts involve Dremelling holes and hanging them from things. i am not sure if that would work with porcelain; i am also resin-doming images of doll parts. you could, perhaps, use the photos as backgrounds for resin pieces, with a body part embedded in each piece as am inclusion.

The full image could be a bigger thing we keep on the main page/ Maybe we can bribe someone in the draw thread with free goods.

I'd love an invite, but my shop isn't totally lolita-centered, is that alright? I'm currently working on phasing out a lot of older steampunk stuff while trying out some newer resin pieces that I'll put up eventually. Shop name is Squidhouse Designs. Thanks for making this group!

Does anyone know some good hat shops? I wanted to order VM's hat to match pic related, but for better or for worse they're out. I'm sort of desperate for a hat and would prefer it to be done and shipped in 5 weeks if possible.
>>
>>9007892
Just type this into google, you will find cute boater hats of all sorts:
リボンカンカン帽

Or if you are really desperate, just buy some basic boater off ebay, and decorate it with some teal or beige fabric flowers.

Axes femme is also woth checking out, they often have cute hats that work with lolita.
>>
>>9007923

Thanks for the tips! But I was looking more for a fabric covered hat like pic related if that helps any? Sorry for being picky - I was also looking at some other wide brimmed hats but desu they're not what I'm looking for.

I would pay up to $130 since that's what I was about to pay anyways. I don't know how realistic that pricing is for a hat like that.
>>
>>9007932
I got a lovely custom hat from Miss Danger for 150$, but it was also a little bit bigger than this. It's super lovely and matches the coordinate I wanted it for perfectly, so I'd totally recommend them!
If that's too much for you, there are some on taobao....not as nice, but still quite pretty.
>>
>>9007941

Thank you so much! I'll look into her. How long did it take her to make your item if you don't mind me asking?
>>

I would also recommend you to look at Cloudberry Lady. She makes absolutely amazing stuff. Unfortunately, I can't say anything of the prices or the length of the process.

There is a really bad review on EGL for Chantilly rings unfortunately. You have to log in to see it, it might be back a page or two.

>>
>>8999444
Honestly, this is what every indie brand that does cons does though, because they have to if they are going to make money. In most cases, if there aren't many online, it means that people buy out the stock at cons, and the artist can't make stuff fast enough.
>>
>>9008846
but it costs more to go to cons than sell online.
>>
>>9009146

Cons are much faster and lower effort, though. You only need to make the product, show up, lay out the table and then putz around while people buy stuff off you. If you're relatively unknown, over half your sales will be from people who don't even know you/your brand, but will impulse buy something they think is pretty. They hand over cash and you put your merch in a nice bag and you're done.

Online, once you've made the product, you still need to photograph it, create individual listings, generate hype/market it by blogging/reblogging, posting photos, find a customer base and engage them to generate interest in buying something from you, and then when someone finally buys something you have to package it, address it, take it to the post office and mail it out, then come home and find someone else bought something while you were at the post office, so now you have to go to the post office, again. And then eventually you'll have to deal with that one customer whose item arrived broken in the mail and angst over whether she's scamming you or not sending her a free replacement damages your PR.

It costs less money, yes, but it's certainly more effort to sell the items one by one online rather than one batch all in one day at a con.
>>
>>9009146
i make more at conventions than i do from my online shop. online shoppers tend to hunt for bargains and be very choosey. in person, customers can handle and try on items, and in a convention atmosphere, everyone is in a spending mood.

but then again, everyone loves Mossbadger and wants to buy her shit so for her maybe it's just an issue of timing and effort.
>>
>>9008844
I wonder what would happen if someone tried putting some modpodge or something over it? They're such pretty rings, it's a shame that they aren't the best quality.

I'm getting this soon. Looking for recommendations on sellers that might have matching raspberry, mushroom, or deer stuff. Or nice looking terrariums that aren't over $50 USD.
>>
>>9009261
Eh, but in the case of mossbadger, this doesn't really apply, since online her stuff is in demand. Even the items that aren't as in demand (like the Ouija stuff at this point) sell out within 48 hours, and the items that are most in demand (portrait brooches, portrait rosettes) tend to sell out within 24 hours.
>>
>>9009146
In my experience, people go to cons to buy things. The vast majority aren't the sort who notice things like air bubbles in resin or dodgy anatomy or wonky seams, they just see cute shit and decide they want it.

Because everyone's in a spending mood impulse purchases are common, and because you can see the whole selection in front of you it's easier to sell a bunch of items in one go. If you have halfway decent stuff you can do well at cons, but online it's more down to marketing and drawing attention to your marketplace of choice. It takes time and effort and you're not likely to see any profit for a while.

I don't blame Mossbadger for focusing on cons, even if she does sell out online it's a much bigger hassle to ship everything out than it is to shove it in a bag and be done with it, as >>9009261 pointed out.
>>
>>9009328
It should be fine but I can't help thinking the image might smudge or dissolve. If it chips off so easily it doesn't really inspire confidence...
>>
>>9010388
Honestly, conventions are easier for me.

>The vast majority aren't the sort who notice things like air bubbles in resin or dodgy anatomy or wonky seams, they just see cute shit and decide they want it.
I always sell the shitty things at cons whereas it would never sell online and I'd be too embarrassed to even list them. I can guarantee that the worst thing I churned out will probably be one of the first things that sell without fail.

I usually only post my bigger ticket items and items that I'm really proud of. They will sit online. People will reblog them, share them, etc. I won't get a single sale. Yet I sell out at every con without fail. I don't have the energy to time to really promote myself as much as I'd like. If you're doing this on the side of a full time job, you might find this to be the case. But if selling is your primary job, you really have to work to get your product to sell between shows.

People like to impulse buy too. If they buy one accessory, they'll buy more. They'll buy items that coordinate together. I get a lot of repeat customers who keep coming back to buy more. I keep cheaper items around ($5 and under) simply because by the end of the weekend people want to spend their last few dollars on more con swag.

Not bad if you get them in bulk - most of these places have a MOQ that you need to pay for in advance. There's also a bit of a hefty charge for the mold fee (Which is a one off payment) I have a seperate warehouse making the necklace part.

>>9020185
Originally I worked with a company face to face in Hong Kong while I was living there, but I changed companies because the MOQ was too high. To do that I looked through Alibaba BUT I had a good baseline in regards to price/requirements as I had done it before. I also had samples to send to the new factory so it's hard for them to fuck it up basically.

If you only want a few made for personal use you could probably find a medal place locally and ask them (The process is the same as making a medal). Sometimes they have lower MOQs (Maybe like 10?) because they work with people who need lower MOQs.
>>
>>9019910
Lol, wow. I did not expect that.

I hired an agent to find suppliers/manufacturers for me. Last time when I did it myself I got ripped off so it was worth saving a lot of money by having a chinese agent do the negotiation for me.
I don't know what factories they're using but they send pictures all the time at every stage of development for me to sign off on which is great.
An Agent is the best way to go; just show them pictures of what you need and they'll find the manufacturers for you

I have a question and I figured this would be the best place to ask since its related to indie jewerly. Is it possible to use a shopping service to buy from minne (since I'm p sure they wont ship internationally). I've never used one to buy from japan, but I have for Taobao.
>>
>>9029302
most likely. i could not tell you which, but the major services (FromJapan, Japonica) might be a good place to start.
>>
>>9029302
If you live in Australia/New Zealand I can recommend 'Sophie's shopping service' on Facebook to order stuff from minne.
>>
>>9024231
There's not enough filling (pretty big gap on left side) and your texturing needs work. Also, there's white showing through, so work on that.
However, you have the macaron shape and the top is smooth, which makes you better than quite a few Etsy sellers.

If you want to sell your stuff you need to make sure it looks pristine. Cute food items saturate the market and nobody will buy from you if your stuff looks bad or even average. Adding little details, like tiny bows and rhinestones, will make it look cuter and set it apart from the thousand other plain macaron necklaces. Add pearls or beads to the chain, dust fine glitter over the filling, add deco whip and a chocolate plaque or strawberry or something. The details really do make a difference.
>>
>>9029958
Thanks for the help. I'm thinking of using colored clay next time so I don't have to paint it and there won't be any white spots. But I'll remember to add more filling and decorations next time, and I'll work on the texturing too.
>>
>>9027455
kek

perhaps my true calling is the furry market.
>>
>>9030090
Using colored clay will be a huge improvement, definitely. I can't tell what you painted it with from the pictures, but it looks quite thick and lumpy. Either thin it and work in layers (which will get you better results and will cover all of the macaron) or use pastels, which would soften the lumpy texturing and make it look better.

Texturing is a fucking pain in the ass, but you need to be as detailed as you possibly can. Small sharp implements like pins are better than things like toothbrushes in this case. Also, yours is pretty flat and the textured area is too big- they have 'feet' which are bumpy, about half the size of the ones on yours, and stick out a little. Yours is just a thick lump.

Again, your work isn't painfully bad, but you need to really work on the details. Obsessively studying pictures of the thing you're making is really helpful. Try out as many texturing techniques as you can, some are a lot simpler and give great results.

As for finishing touches, DON'T USE SHINY GLAZE ON EVERYTHING. Matte is best 70% of the time. Eye pins slide out so use screws or make a bend in the pin before you insert it. Never use nail polish with clay, it'll degrade the piece. Glue and resin both work for sticking things on but don't use too much because it leaks everywhere. Don't use hot glue. Place gems and shit on before gluing them on or you'll end up regretting the placement 8/10 times.

I hope I haven't put you off crafting, lol. Keep trying and you'll get there.
>>
>>9031585
You're not putting me off crafting at all, this is actually really helpful. I feel more motivated now that I know how to improve. Thanks a lot.

I learned it by living in HK/China. I know when someone is ripping me off; where to go etc.

I'd suggest starting on Alibaba and posting a request for whatever it is you want made.
You'll probably need samples - in my case I gave them a realistic render of what I wanted it to look like originally.
I then sat down with the people in Hong Kong and we went through all their metal and enamel colours in their catalog (You might not be able to do that on Alibaba but it's good to ask)

Lastly if you're not happy with something; TELL THEM. This time the remake of my necklaces had some minor details polished off and I refuse to sign off on it until it's perfect. You're paying money for this so you should be happy with it.

If you don't have a physical sample be VERY thorough with your references and colors as it's really easy to fuck something like this up - especially with the language barrier. Ask for updates at every step so they don't just go ahead and make something wrong.

I don't really have much more to suggest, it's something I've picked up over a long time dealing with people and researching. I think next time I'm going to make some realistic wigs for Lolita.

As team leader, my only criteria is that crafters be involved in /cgl/ to some extent and also make items with an alt/jfash aesthetic. I have seen Unre's Attic in person at different conventions, and they definitely have a solid userbase and market! My primary concern is whether or not each shop owner is involved with /cgl/ culture. Most of us in GALA have selfposted often, sometimes even before opening a shop, so it feels very grassroots, and this is something I would like to maintain.

Since there is interest in GALA outside of just Etsy I have hoped to be able to organize crafting swaps for members via /cgl/, or through an email account which will be initially posted here; unsure just yet. It would be important that GALAnons check /cgl/ and not have reservations about being associated with it.

not that anon and i know nothing about deco-style aesthetic, but one place for improvement could be the quality of the ribbon you use. compare to the ribbon in >>9013598, which seems to be both a more complicated bow and a sturdier material, with the bow sewn into place in the middle of the knot. a more cloth-like ribbon like this greatly adds to the look and value of the piece imo.

>>9039452
I'll work on shading next time I make one. Would the charms look better if I made them sit better and shaded them too? Thanks for the help. I feel like I'm learning a lot, even if I still have a long way to go until I'm good at this.
>>
>>9039452
Also, how do I shade clay using chalk pastels? Sorry, I've never done it before.

You need to sand it better. Part of the charm of macarons is their smooth, glossy top contrasting with the crinkly feet. The feet could use more detail as well. Compare this real macaron to yours.
>>

Thanks for the help, I'll sand it better next time. Looking at that real macaron is making me realize how much mine sucks. I'll keep practicing.

The shape is better and the texturing has improved from what I can see (you shouldn't score a line around the area to be textured though) and it looks a lot better than the first one. Using coloured clay is also a huge improvement, lol.

As for how to improve, tone the pink down. It looks garish and clashes horribly. I think combinations like pink and mint are better than strong variations of the same colour.
It's easy to colour with pastels- you get a razor and shave off bits of pastel, then dip a brush in and lightly go over the clay. A soft brush is best. If you only have bright clay you can mix it with white clay, add it in little by little so you get a nice pastel shade.

The top of the macaron seems to be covered in lint or something. Use a cotton bud dipped in rubbing alcohol to remove it, it also works to remove fingerprints and other marks.

You also need to work on making the macaron more even. In the second picture you can see that the bottom half is thicker on the right, and the top half is thicker on the left. I saw a tutorial somewhere saying that blister packs are great macaron molds, you line them with plastic wrap so it's easy to remove and you get even macarons every time.

The decorations are really lackluster, I'm afraid, but it looks like that's just because you don't know how to put it together. This video is for cupcake squishies but the general idea is the same- look at how they're decorated and go from there.

Well done for accepting the advice and improving, too. I don't mean to sound condescending but it's refreshing to see people actually try to get better instead of flouncing off when there aren't any asspats.

Thank you so much. I'm glad I'm actually improving. I'll try using different colors next time instead of different shades of the same one. Coloring with pastels does sound easy now that I know how to do it. And I'm actually getting pastel clay very soon, so I'll start using that too. Also, thanks for letting me know how to clean the lint on top of the macaron. I didn't know how to do that either. And I didn't think of using blister packs. I'll see if I have any in my house. It's true that I didn't really know what to do with the decorations, so that video will be really helpful. Again, thanks a lot. I'm here to learn how to improve, so I'm going to accept any advice I can get.

I'm so glad that you took this on anon. I was the one to suggest a craft exchange in the White Dat threads and to point out that Gala was the acronym. I'm away from home right now and in the process of moving, so I felt bad that I couldn't actively contribute. I just want to get my crafting room back so that I can start actually helping out more.

If you need support, let me know and I'll drop a throwaway. More than happy to help on a networking/technical side of things and organise exchanges.

Looking through Japanese craft Instagrams and sites like Laduree will help you understand how to put colour combinations and decorations together. Don't put everything in the centre, either, that actually makes it look a bit off balance and makes it look too busy.

I really look forward to seeing your next attempts, it's always nice to see someone improve (and I know I've said this already but goddamn Tumblr's Everyone Is Perfect uwu culture has made me appreciate people who understand they have room for improvement).

I dunno if you know this, but the term for these hats is bergere. Often they have a ribbon that ties under the neck if they're not pinned in.

Wondering if you gulls could help me. I'm making pic related by handstitching into a cotton-based velveteen. I've seen lots of embroidered stuff with the cabochons under the fabric but I'd like to put my fabric under the cabochons.

My problem is how to fix them together, I only found a couple of tutorials and they varied from ropey looking selotape methods to gluing with mod podge and glaze in the same way as stickers and paper. Does anyone have any suggestions? I don't want to muck up the fabric.

Search for hellokiri on intagram
she can order from all the apps, minne, mercari, frill...
>>
>>9043503
Test mod podge or resin on a piece of scrap fabric, and leave it for a few hours. It should look fine (any weird texture issues should be solved when you put the cabochon over it) but you should make sure it won't discolor the fabric.

damn these look interesting!

can i have some flat out pure crit? I absolutely hate what I've made but i vectored and got a bunch of ribbons and crosses made out of clear pvc and all the creativity I had before I had them made seems to have gone poof, this is all I can make and I just think it looks shit, what do you guys think, scrap and start again? or salvageable idea

I'm not a fan, I think maybe the rhinestones are too small and the random placement isn't doing it for me. You could try using them to mimic the folds/shadows in fabric instead? Or just go around the edges maybe

I've just started with laser cutting too and I was surprised at how difficult it was at first to translate things to 2d silhouette versions that look nice/recognisable. Pic related, my first design
>>
>>9046648
Oh I love the idea of the folds and shadows, may give the placement a go
I love your design! I'm a big fan of skulls in design, I recognised it straight away. Is your bail too jump rings? I really like the look
>>
>>9046648
Not sure if you are up for some concrit but have you thought about including laser etching into your design? so more contour lines around the eyes and through the centre of the head and beak would bring make it more interesting to look at.
>>
>>9046671
Sorry I pressed post too soon. Here is what I meant by adding more detail into the skull
>>
>>9046658
Thanks! It's actually just one jump ring, the kind that doubles round on itself like a keyring but it got a bit stretched as I didn't place the hole close enough to the edge. I'll keep that in mind though and maybe try doubling up in future

>>9046671
Etching is definitely the next step for me but as I'm actually using the laser cutter myself, not sending them off somewhere to get made it's going to take a bit of figuring out. I tried to do some etching this week but ending up cutting a load of holes in my piece instead and then crashing the laser cutter, woops! Thank you though, concrit appreciated, I'll keep working on it

Yeah these are mine, I really love how embroidery can look both cosy and luxurious. I've considered taking commissions for monograms when I've got my construction process sorted if anyones interested? Also working on some more victoriana/ natural history style motifs and cameos.
>>
>>9046758
if you are finding that you are creating too many holes in your piece, perhaps the power is too high or the speed is too slow? To do laser etching on acrylic my settings are usually 50% power and 50% speed and I use a trotec. Hope you can solve your problem anon!
>>
>>9046634
I think it's salvageable. The rhinestones seem a bit excessive and I'm not sure what you could put on the jump rings, but it doesn't look as awful as you make it out to be. It kind of reminds me of the gyaru stuff I used to see back when I was into it.

Maybe take off a few rhinestones and use them to mimic the folds in the fabric like the other anon said.

saw this and thought of you! I think a nicer bow would work, maybe with ribbon that matches the chain or has some black that matches the panda. Also, it might be the photo but the different shades of pink and red seem off. In this Meta necklace, the main components have a similar color scheme (black and gold) which lets the bright colors of the stuff inside the cage stand out.

>I was the one to suggest a craft exchange in the White Dat threads and to point out that Gala was the acronym.
Thank you for the offer to help! If this gift exchange is something you could help organize when you are finished moving, that would be pretty cool.

I have used mod podge on top of velveteen and it did not work so well. The fabric lost much of its texture. Additionally, if those are glass cabochons, I have not had luck adhering them to non-paper items using mod podge. I have not tried glass cabos on fabric specifically, but you may have better luck with a resin dome if my experience with mod podge and glass is any indication. Whatever you try please report back!

>>9046634
Outlines for the folds and loops of the bow might help. Also the chain seems a bit plain or flat for this.

For the bottom jump rings, I think small charms would look nice. A bead that matches the rhinestones (on a headpin) or small roses maybe, or just two small silver charms in a cute shape. Brands sometimes have charms sewn onto the edges of bows, like stars or hearts.

>>9046859
I'd definitely be interested in getting one commissioned!
>>
>>9046859
I'd be really interested in a commission, your work is great.

Thanks for the advice! My mod podge arrived this morning so I'm just trying it out now. I've been looking into resin dome/epoxy stickers, I think they might stick better and be easier work to with.

Thank you anons, it'll be few weeks until I'm up and running but I'll make an instagram and post in the thread when I have everything sorted.

I love this thread btw, it's so nice to see the lolitas here being creators and not just consumers.
>>
>>9050659
If you want to dome them with resin you need to seal it really well or you'll get a million microbubbles and those shits are impossible to get rid of. I'd recommend sealing it twice just to be sure.
>>
Is anyone working on anything new?
>>
>>9054482
I just got some clear glass cabochons and findings to make pendants with my art, but I haven't had time/energy to play with them yet. Hopefully I'll have some inspiration this weekend to format some stuff and start experimenting.
