are there other ways to put holes through domed resin pieces (as in just card/paper domed) other than a dremel? wondering if I'm going to have to invest in one straight a way
>>

It depends on how thick it is. I'm assuming you mean to make a charm out of it? If its too thin you risk cracking it, If all else fails use bails.

Sharing some stuff I've been working on. I got a ton of nice molds from aliexpress (mostly they are molds of cabochons but good quality ones) and experimenting with painting on them to try to make them more unique. I didnt realize the clocks were backwards before I painted them looool but idc I like the aesthetic. The mushrooms are domed shrinkies.

And the bottom is some sailor moon silhouettes I've been doing. Ami, Rei and Chibiusa's heads are bigger than Usagi and Minako's...oops. I still need to dome the back of Rei and Ami though.

I have always wanted to do resin crafts, but for personal reasons I've decided it was not meant to be. So I hope everyone keeps posting their projects because I love stalking this thread to see what people have made and everything always looks incredible. Someone in the past thread posted these flowers in bottles ones that were amazing too, so if you're still here I want you to know those looked fantastic. And the girl who was making woodland and fairy tale themed pieces those were amazing too and I love that kind of stuff!
>>8970273
I also really like those mushroom ones.

And, don't shoot me for asking such a retarded question, but I have some of those plastic stickers that look like they could be resin pieces themselves that are just too pretty for me to use. Has anyone made something with those before besides putting them in resin?
>>
>>8971047
I have a few of these stickers and I tend to just use them in resin, but before I discovered resin I used to make them into pins and things with glue (I was pretty young, so I wasn't allowed near anything stronger).
Maybe making charms or something with them would be nice, I'm sure you can find something suitable to use.
>>
>>8971047
I'm the anon with the woodland/fairytale stuff! I got another shipment of mushroom stickers, so I plan to do a lot more. Also, a teeny tiny deer mold and tottoro stickers.
>>
I've just finished making a snowglobe pendant thing. It took forever to make and it's lumpy as shit because I lost patience halfway through but it's not that bad, all things considered. I'll post a picture tomorrow and go over how I made it, since it's too late for me to get a decent picture right now.
>>
>>8971949
What kind of things did you put inside?
>>
>>8971934
Oh I really love your works! They were beautiful and honestly made me regret not getting into resin very badly. I think we must have the same aesthetic tastes ha ha. I know someone in the other thread said something about how not many people would be interested in stuff like that, but I am personally obsessed with fairy tales and woodsy stuff.

>>8971795
I sorta thought about trying something like that, but didn't know how well it would hold up. Argh, I really love stickers, but if I get really pretty or cute ones I can never use them.

Question do you absolutely have to have sealer or something on your molding tray to get pieces out? My first few pieces didn't need anything but the more I've used he cheap tray the more they stick.

Also, what's some coloring tips? I've been testing with food dye and it's mixed really well and given the pieces great glowing looks.
>>
>>8972080
I'll need to try food dye. I thought water based stuff had issues curing so I had avoided it. I've been really enjoying my results with eyeshadow. So long as you finely grind up them with a hearty stir, you don't get lumps, and the colour is rich. If you're aiming for opaque, anyway.
>>
>>8972206
Sorry for crappy phone pic I could put a spotlight in my shitty no actual wired lights apartment it'd still be dim as fuck. But this my result with red food dye. If you whisk it super fast it spreads really well
>>
>>8972080
If it's a flexible mold then no, you don't, but using mold release will extend the lifespan of the mold. If it's hard plastic then you do need mold release, it will be hell to get out otherwise.
If you want really easy removal go for a soft, bendy silicone mold.
I don't know if liquid food dye is the best choice for resin because it might contain water, I prefer to use pastels and eyeshadows. I also use alcohol-based inks.
>>
>>8972220
looks like ochre. You also shouldn't whisk resin or use water-based dyes. And you need to file.
>>
>>8972229
Thanks I'll keep that in mind I never add much and my first few batches cured decent
>>
>>8972236
Yea totally filed after I did the pic sorry I put them in armor after so never took another pic. But thanks for the reminder.
>>
>>8972080
Food dye colors tend to fade and even change colors in my experience. I had a few pieces I put purple food dye into once about a year ago, and today it looks like a grey-green weirdly enough.
But yeah, I'd experiment with tiny tiny tiny amounts of acrylic paint to keep them transparent.
I love using pearl ex powder pigments, though, those are the shit. You can brush them onto silicone molds before you pour and it'll "coat" it with the effect, or you can mix it in the get a ton of pigmented sparkly depth.
>>
>>8972236
I use food dye all the time and have no problems at all. I think it's a matter of how you use it and how much you use of it.
>>
>>8972345
It also depends on the resin you're using. I've used acrylics to tint Castin' Craft resin, the type in the tin that you only need a few drops of catalyst for it to cure. If you're using the type of resin where you need equal parts of resin and cataylst, it won't cure up properly. I have a piece of resin I tested this on with Easy Cast last fall and it's still plyable. But all of my pieces I've used acrylics on cured up fine, even then ones where I added a little too much and it was plyable a little longer than normal. I didn't add much, usually I'd just dip a craft stick in the paint and use that to mix into the resin. Squirting it in would add too much. I prefer a more transparent look.

That said, I've been using pigment powders lately. My aunt gave me a huge set with lots of colors. I like the results better. Easier to mix, less of a spotty appearance as I got that a lot with acrylics if it wasn't a brand new bottle of paint.
>>
I just use mica powders and got a tester kit of translucent resin pigments, that way I can mix just about any colour for a fraction of the price. I still haven't gotten through any of the colours yet.
>>
Here's some things I made recently. I did some star themed pieces and some other stuff. The horse and the mushrooms in the first picture are brooches! I'd love some concrit.

>>
>>8973012
I think your stuff is nice, but on this one especially I'm seeing a bit of watermarking on the surface. Don't forget to dome the finished piece.
>>
>>8973050
Sorry for the newfag question, but what is watermarking? When I think of watermarks I think of signatures on art and maker's marks on fancy papers.
>>
>>8973192
It's the marks from the mold. It's pretty predominant in plastic molds in my experience, not so much for soft silicone molds. It's a pain because they tend to make the surface weirdly ripply and pitted, and you have to dome the pieces to make them look decent.

Well, here's the pendant. As you can tell it's shit. I'm pretty sure I know how to fix the main issues though, and I'm going to try again when I have more time.
I used a cake pop mold and it worked remarkably well. The problems with this initial stage were the tiny unpoppable bubbles, of which there were millions, and the fact that the resin really liked sliding around. I had to do several coats for the inside of the mold to even be fully covered.
The biggest problem with this was how lumpy it went when I put it together. The resin slid and leaked and set in streaks instead of a neat line, and this made the piece so blurry that I had to go over it again with a coat of resin... which slid and dried in streaks. It's lumpy because I had to use so many coats of resin so you could actually see inside it.
The problems I had that had nothing to do with resin were the fact that I hadn't sculpted something so tiny before and had to go through several shattered mermaids before managing to glue this one in place (though badly), the way that the bead cap slid a bit and cured wonky, and the caviar beads I used, which are all but invisible. The pearls and holographic film show up pretty well when you shake it though.
>>
>>8973385
Oh fuck I did not realize the picture was so huge, sorry.
>>
>>8972927
When I used oil pigments with some resin, my colors didn't cure properly and would change vastly from say, a pink to salmon. It may have been the brand of paint I used and/or the resin (or both in combination of eachother) that did it.
>>
>>8973385
Wow, that's pretty bad. Sorry about that Anon, at least you learned from the experience.
>>
>>8973385
Hey anon, practice makes perfect. This is something that'll take a while to get right. The fact that you got a solid resin piece with liquid in it should be a good first celebration! I want to try making these but I'm completely terrified.
I'm curious, did you use mixed resin or UV resin?
>>
>>8973453
UV resin, I don't think it's possible with mixed because the resin pools and sinks really fast.

The sticker looks pretty porous, did you have to seal it or is it just plastic that looks like paper?

Plastic that looks like paper. The resulting bubbles are because of the sticker not quite fitting into the mold and me being dumb.

So, I have a question about UV resin. Someone mentioned that you can't use UV resin in a non-transparent mold. However, I've seen Japanese youtube videos of people curing UV resin in opaque molds. I'd love more insight on this, like if you just need to cure it in layers or something.

In return I'll dump pretty resin crafts.

I dont know for certain but maybe they are using a UV lamp? Or taking out pieces and letting them cure the rest of the way outside of the mold. I've only cured with the sun and it takes a while. I did one with an opaque mold and it did mostly cure but was a bit sticky. I took it out of the mold and let it sit in the sun a bit more and it hardened completely.
>>
>>8977587
I've used UV resin in non-transparent molds and it cures. You need to make sure the light from the lamp can penetrate the mold fully (so nothing deep, basically) and it's best to work in layers so it cures properly. Also, I have to take the cured pieces out and cure the other side because they tend to stay sticky even if I leave them there forever.

Where on social media do you guys feel like you get the most exposure for your stuff?

i cross post everything i sell on etsy on twitter, tumblr, instagram and depop. the last two have been really effective. depop is good because it's a little like instagram, kind of informal social media but you can still make money and build up reviews/clienete

just an aside but as far as sales, this girl [https://www.depop.com/en-us/tightpinch] sells a TON of these chokers. imo she's got it down to a science. makes a ton of slightly different simple designs and then posts/spams every day with cute graphics. moral is you really just have to relentlessly post your stuff and people will notice

I find myself addicted to glitter. I'm putting it on/in everything. Even in frame brooches. And I only have the basic kind. Any recommended sources for star/hearts and other cute varieties?

Stars and hearts will probably lead you down the route of the Martha Stewart sets. That brand also has tinsel glitters, cellophane/mylar flakes, hex glitter and foil flakes. That being said if you go to ebay and look for any of those with 'nail art' attached they will be cheaper and more customisable with what colours and how much you receive.

So tutorials outside the usual 'kawaii' crew I watch are super painful.

>painting on nail polish and resin and leaving everything super streaky
>bubbles, bubbles everywhere
>trying to show how resin spray works and instead ending up with watermarked to hell pieces
>people who may or may not be adept with internet equipment shouting into the mic like they're coaching their spring soccer team
>or. going. super. slow. and. monotone.
>the responses oh god the responses to these tutorials

Oh my god I just wanted a tutorial for fitting pictures inside frames.
>>
>>8980793
I never consulted any tutorials, just looked at frames and assumed stuff. Don't even know if I'm doing it right, but mine look pretty nice. What steps did you have questions for?
>>
>>8980801

I had issues fitting the picture inside the frame because I'm an idiot and thought you could just shove a full sized picture inside the frame lol.

I think next time I'll probably just fill in the bottom just a little bit with some resin for the 'background', put the picture in when the resin is tacky, and then dome with resin on top.
>>
>>8979513
>UV nail acrylic
hun, that's gel. Just like powdered gel doesn't exist (despite what chinese salons say), neither does UV activated acrylic, which is always in a monomer + polymer form.

I posted this last thread, but these are generally the steps I take:

Seal your image, if needed. (I use glossy photo paper, so I do not)
Cure your frame independent of the picture
If your cured frame has a cutout for the picture, use your modpodge/sealant around the back of the frame
Your image is best when slightly bigger than the cutout
Apply your modpodge to the back of the image, and comepletely seal it against the frame
When that sealant is dry, you can turn them over and add your resin to the image to make a nice glassy window
babysit for bubbles, etc.
Once dry, you could always turn them over and dome the back.
I don't want to risk messing up the shape of the frame with some stray resin leaks, or to spend /that/ much resin so I personally just paint the backs gold, or monocoloured paint and seal that. It's not so bad for a place no one is going to be looking.

I think the blue things would be 100x better if you didn't put the pearls on them, but that's personal opinion. I'd buy the shit out of them without the pearls. If you're determined to keep them, maybe think more about placement?

I also love your dolphins, are the tummies painted?

>>8980817
when I was in cosmetology school ages ago, we used some acrylic powder thing we'd dip a brush in some stuff and then in the powder and it's turn to a gel and you'd shape into a nail.
Took me forever to get good at it.

Something about noting how the mod podge will be invisible after adding the resin window.
>>
>>8981036
It doesn't turn into a gel, the polymer and monomer combines and turns it into liquid acrylic. A gel stays like a gel until it is manipulated in a certain way. Hair gel oxidizes, gel moisturisers are absorbed, UV gel is cured, etc.

Acrylic can turn into a 'gel-like substance', but never gel.

>>8980622
I had the opposite problem, I needed gold bails in the same size as my silver ones and got massive hunks of metal half the size of the pieces.
>>8980793
I watched one ages ago that was an absolute trainwreck- using fingers to smear baby oil all over the silicone molds 'so they don't stick and pull apart', guessing at ratios, no gloves, bad lighting, cluttered workspace, and I'm pretty sure they used acrylic or oil paints to color the resin. I was still thinking about getting into resin when I found it and I am so glad I did more research, because that was an unholy clusterfuck of a tutorial.

lately I've noticed that 90% of my domed pieces cure slightly on the softer side. I've used the same mixing method and other pieces have come out so hard you can't even scratch them, but others you can leave very visible dents with your fingernail.

does anyone else have this problem or am I just being an idiot? easycast and enviro tex have both had this problem so I think I'm just doing something wrong.
>>
>>8981715
I've had that issue too, so I just add a drop or two more of hardener than the resin, and it seems to work out.
>>
>>8981715
I really dislike easycast. It always cures nearly gummy for me.

I made this test piece a while ago (ignore the white back). The plan is to make some earrings with dangling leaves.
I ordered some dried pink flowers to place inside my next batch, but the month long wait... I'm also on the lookout for some smooth clear round rhinestones to use as water droplets on the leaves. I can't seem to find the right search terms so I may just make my own with clear resin.

Thank you! I used what I believe is a hard silicone mold intended for clay? It's not very flexible so you have to use mold release to make it useable for resin.
>>
Any tips for a complete newbie? Are beginner kits worth it, or should I just pick a tutorial and buy the products that they recommend?
>>
>>8988763
I think it's best if you do some research on the types of resin and which ones are more suited to your climate (resin hates cold+damp as a rule but some take for fucking ever to set if it's damp and some set relatively quickly even in bad conditions) and which ones have the working time you need and so on. If you want to buy a bunch of stuff at once to get started, I recommend buying PP/polypropylene mixing cups and a silicone mat, as resin won't stick to them and you can just peel it off once it's dry. Also, stay away from hard plastic molds (like palettes) and go for silicone. Mold release is useful as it prolongs the life of the mold but it's not necessary for most molds.
Pastels, eyeshadow and alcohol ink are good for colouring resin- don't use paint or food dyes. Look for nail art embellishments and glitter because they tend to be cheaper imo.
I have no idea what beginner kits are like as I've never seen them where I live but if the price of the components is less than online prices+shipping then you might as well try it. If you want to use tutorials to find out what to buy then look around because there are some super shit tutorials around and you do NOT want to waste your money following them.
>>
>>8988627

Is it normal for resin at times to take waaay longer to harden? I used some amazing clear cast 4 days ago in some molds and it's still somewhat liquid like, not sure what to do...
>>
>>8991186
If it's still liquid after 4 days, you mixed it wrong and it isn't curing. Sometimes pieces can take longer to cure fully, but if it isn't solid at all by now, you need to start over.
>>
>>8991220
thanks! it seems the middle is solid, but the outer layers are still pretty mushy. is there any way to demold this or will i just need to make another mold?
>>
>>8991241
Different anon here, I'd say wait it out, I've had similarly hopeless pieces that just needed more time to cure. They might distort a bit when you take them out of the mold and they'll probably be sticky, but rubbing alcohol can cure that.
If the whole thing was still liquid you'd be fucked though.
>>
>>8991241

What's the mold made of? if its vaccuformed plastic you can try gutting it if waiting a few days doesnt do anything to cure it further. if you get acetone on it it can clear it out but it WILL leave your mold in a state where anything you pull out of it will be cloudy and need glazing. I can't speak for silicone however.
>>
>>8991900
it's made of latex rubber, it's that moldbuilder thing.
>>

>>
>>8993516
I got the exact same thing, anon! Is it the one with the mask in season one and the ORAS?

If you can use fukin stickers in resin and people don't have an issue with it, I don't see a problem with using the ice tray.
>>
>>8991908

You can probably say hasta la vista to that then if you shove acetone on it. Alternatively if you have some spare or a mold you dont really care for anymore, you can test it on that?
>>
>>8993863
Yeah, that's the one. But I think it was a different onomatopoeia. Did you make anything with it, or do you just use it for ice? I'd love to get actual dimensions of the pieces because none of the listings tell you how big they are. Specifically interested in the stone mask.
>>
>>8991908
Maybe try sticking the whole thing in the freezer for a day and see if that will solidify the resin temporarily to pop it out?
>>
>>8993873
I was planning to but I never got around to it, so it's just been sitting here in the packet.

Don't really know where to ask about this, but this seems about right.

Is there any product/method of removal that completely dissolves epoxy craft resin?

My brother reserved himself a special seat in hell by rubbing the gel-ish resin from one of my craft molds onto the inside and outside of my flat iron. I tried cleaning it off while it was still wet with acetone and alcohol but neither worked. My mom is offering to make him buy me a new one, but it's still a relatively new and a perfectly good tool, I'm just afraid of it melting shit into my hair or hands. I need it completely off because I know epoxy resin will soften with heat. It's more like a film than a puddle.

Google says heat, freezing, and paint thinners can help, but will any of those work well enough to completely remove it? Or should I just say my final goodbyes?
>>
>>8995818

Just accept the new one, you dont want stuff like that in your hair.
Why the hell would your brother ever think that's a good idea? Does he not want to keep his testicles or something?

Also, I hate how well this shit sells. Not because I hate/envy the people making it but because it's cringey as shit and the people wearing them are almost always holier-than-thou Tumblr whales.
Maybe I'm super salty because a while ago I was at a craft fair (not selling, just browsing) and there were a couple of ~speshul~ sellers trying to sell shit like this for twice the price of the fucking table each. And when I went to talk to them, thinking they'd say they used UV resin and wanted to make up the cost or something, they very condescendingly told me that it was Art and I should be prepared to pay for the labor and material costs and tortured creativity that went into making their lovingly crafted pieces of crap. The best part was that they were trying to sell to an audience that was made up mostly of grannies and small children... and one of the sellers' stuff was still soft and sticky because it wasn't fully cured.
Sorry for the rant but that event made me mad af and more than a little confused.

So, today my first resin order arrived in the mail, and I just couldn't let it sit alone for yet another day as I've already waited 1,5 month for it to arrive. Picrelated is my first experiment with the resin (there was another one, but it didn't finished hardening before sunset). I tried to dye it with my eyeshadows, but as you can see it didn't work well for me - there are bits of pigment which just didn't dissolve in the resin no matter how hard I tried to stir it thoroughly. I also don't understand yet how do I make the edges even - I tried to cast very slowly and carefully, but still ended up rough. Perhaps, any advice? Also, I tried UV resin today, but I'm going for two-component tomorrow or the day after that, and one thing keeps bothering me: how do I mix the resin the way I keep proportions right? I mean, when pouring resin/hardener into a mixing pot I expect that some resin is left on the sides of measuring cups, won't it ruin the proportion?
>>
>>8997602
Slowsorry for the image size! Didn't expect it's not compressed
>>
>>8997602
-The eyeshadows were probably not fine enough. It's a pain but an anon said it could be solved by using a snuff grinder or something, I'm getting one soon to see if it works for me. You need to really grind it well and let it sit for a bit so most of the lumps sink to the bottom.
-The uneven edges look like bubbles. Go over it with a lighter/heat gun/blow down a straw to pop them and it should give you smooth edges. Sanding the edges and doming will give you a good finish.
-Don't worry about 2 part resin! Just scrape the measuring cups as well as you can. The measurements account for the little bits left behind in the cups. If you're off by a few drops the resin might cure a little soft but it will still be decently hard and you'll get better at measuring with time.

I think it's a pretty good piece for a first attempt. Doming it will help bring out the glitter, and should seal any holes left by bubbles.
>>
>>8996823
These are absolutely amazingly adorable. I'm with the other anons, if you had a store I'd buy these in a heartbeat!

>>8997602 -anon seeks advice again

Was extending my experiments with UV resin today, and this is what I ended up with: most of my rings cracked the instant I was releasing them from the molds. What could I supposedly do wrong? I've experienced such a problem only with glitter rings so far. Is it glitter or is it bubbles or could I have overexposed them to the sun?
>>
>>8999014
>>8999028
Additionally:
Don't hang around in an enclosed space with poured/curing resin. Likewise, do all of your mixing and pouring in a well-ventilated area.

I'd also recommend respirator AND wet-sanding instead of just one or the other
>>
>>8999051
I don't think overexposure to the sun is the problem, since they're gonna be exposed to sunlight when you wear them out anyway. None of my UV glitter pieces have cracked so I don't know if glitter is the culprit.
It might be bubbles, esoecially if there are big bubbles/ a metric fuckton of bubbles in a single area that can weaken the ring. I honestly can't think of any other reason why they'd crack like that.
See it as a learning experience, I guess.
>>
>>8977617
I'm curious about this resin piece. Do you think a purple sticker was used under the clear resin wings to create that kind of bubbly purple effect? I'm really curious about trying this myself.
>>
>>8999223
It looks like they used some sort of cellophane film/sticker but the bubbly effect is from the texture of the wings.
>>
My resin pieces are getting a lot of bubbles and I don't know why. I mix the two components before and make sure there are no bubbles, but once it hardens the bubbles appear.
Maybe it is a product of some reaction.
I have tried adding resin to the flat inner sticker, but when I cast it all the bubbles keep appearing.
Do you have any advice?
Thanks in advance!

Adding useful pic just because
>>
>>8999175

It drives me absolutely crazy when you see youtubers hotboxing themselves in their rooms with resin. I personally do it in the doorway of my garage so I can still see the surface tension of the resin (glare of the sun makes it impossible to see) and also when pouring I dont end up with resin in my face if there's a sudden wind.
>>
>>8999232

Check out CraftyLefty's most recent video of a ouija planchet, even though she backs it with black resin you still get the same effect from the cellophane mentioned above. Dont be afraid to pair it with different colour backgrounds, it looks stunning with anything.
>>
>>8999250
Maybe you just need to babysit the pieces a little longer. I have the same problem with stickers, I've found that standing them up and pushing them in is better than laying the sticker flat and poking at it until it sinks, at least in terms of bubbles.
Maybe babysit the pieces and go over them with a lighter every hour or so? It should help reduce the bubbles.

Thanks! I really want to put up some of the big pendants I made, but I ran out of chain, haha.

These look really good. What keywords did you use to find the stickers? I've been looking for something similar to the umbrella girl but I never find stuff in that sort of style.
>>
>>9000301
Ah, well I know where I got the umbrella girl at least.

Honestly, I just search for stickers, and when I find stationary related stores I tend to go through everything they have. They rarely have everything labeled with keywords, because the stickers have so much variety. The link above's store has a great selection. Searching "Daisyland" would help too. It appears to be a brand that makes really adorable stickers in that style.

Your stuff is really nice.

May I ask if you have a recommendation for a shop to buy the frames similar to yours, or something like the metal one in my photo? I picked it up at daiso and I'd like to buy a batch to make ones for gifts/sale eventually.

I'm just messing around with stuff I have already but I'd like to make some nice silhouette pendants.

I've just gone on another sticker binge, I have a problem!

Thank you so much!

search 'cameo frame' on ebay or even 'cameo metal.' You'll find a bunch and usually there are auctions starting at 0.99 if you want variety.

I'm sorry if this is not the right place, but you guys were the first ones I thought of.

I got into mah jongg after my mom forced me to play on mother's day, and I want my own set of tiles but they are all super boring and if I'm going to spend that much money, I want something cool looking. My research tells me that mah jongg tiles are typically made of different types of plastic, but I was wondering if it's possible to make something like this out of resin using molds? I've never attempted to use resin for a craft so obviously I wouldn't jump in trying to cast 166 tiny ass tiles as my first project but I figured I'd ask for opinions before I dive balls deep into another hobby.

Pic related, the bottom left looks similar to the sorts of stuff you all post

And 2nd pic related, it's listed as a candy/food-grade mold, would that work for resin? Should I instead try to get hold of a set and make my own molds?
>>
>>9001617
I don't see why not.
>>
>>9001620
these molds work very well
>>
>>9001620
As long as it's silicone, you're good. Silicone food molds and ice trays work just fine.
>>
>>9001617
That can work! If you get 2-part resin you can make a bunch of them for relatively little money. Use the silicone mold, as other anons said as long as it's silicone it'll work. If you decide to go ahead with it read through the past threads and don't expect your first few pieces to come out perfect.
>>
How are you supposed to take care of clear silicone molds? I've noticed after several pulls the pieces from my padico molds are getting cloudy and not as crisp in the edges. Am I being too rough taking them out? I've bought mold release for the future if it will help.
>>
>>9001829
Mold release will definitely help. Padico molds also seem to warp quite easily, so that might be part of the problem.

Sorry for all the questions, but what is the name for this glitter that looks like cut up cellophane?
>>
>>9002026
cellophane glitter
>>
>>9002041
I tried that, doesn't bring it up on ebay.
>>
>>9002065
If you Google cellophane glitter it comes up as glitter flakes.

I'm searching aliexpress and >>9002068
search glitter flakes. I searched Iridescent glitter flakes and find stuff that matches.
>>
>>9002072
Also try the search term "nail art flakes" on ebay. I got a lot of hits with that one.
>>
>>9002026
You can also check your local dollar store/craft store for iridescent cellophane. I just cut off a piece, cut it into a bunch of little flakes, then store it. Last forever and cost $1.

Sister I fuckin qualified for tax free deduction in Japan for stickers.

Let that sink in. I went to tokyu hands and I spent over 10,001 yen on fucking stickers.

(ok and some resin stuff but honestly that was 1400 yen. I still spent >8500 yen on stickers).

I might have a problem.
