I love that in the con book they wrote the burlesque event was a "body positive" event. Was pretty much a given the performers were going to be hideous.
From the middles rows back most people were laughing while watch it.

This is the thing. I first thought "They aren't that good really" but when I looked close up the Jack particularly was pretty well done.
I know it's not an orignal cosplay and there's crap loads of guides on how to do the makeup but what else was honestly better than that group? Some other costumes were alright but it wasn't like there was one clear winner who got cheated fro the prize by them.

Post judging. So the entrants had to stand around a couple of hours, get herded backstage until their time and then sit about waiting to be called in for judging after the masq. I felt sorry for them.
Could have done without the gopher screaming 'fuck off' outside the main party room. If an entire room goes silent to hear you speak you can just request people move away or quiet down.

We'd been drinking but I have videos of us in there - we weren't being particularly loud. We left, anyway. Then someone put a block in front of that door next time I passed it.
It was just an angry confrontation no one was looking for on a Saturday night, you know?
We got asked to move on from a few places in the day time but it was always done very politely and those gophers were really friendly.
