This dress was posted in a previous thread and people seemed to like it, it's on sale at the moment for £8 but is out of stock online. If you have a local New Look it might be worth checking! I kept checking back on the website and certain sizes would sometimes become available, i guess if people return it. I managed to order it the other day.

Here's some similar ones, I think maybe the last ones are closest. They are often called ghillie shoes.

Those are pretty nice as well. Might be worth checking Topshop too cause they usually have a few pairs in a similar style.

I had a look at the last thread and the FAQ (but its empty).
What would say are some of the major features of this fashion? High waisted stuff is one I seem to see, and tight fitting lacey tops?
It's really lovely and kind of how I dress day to day.
Sorry for the newfag questions!
>>
>>8927725
Major features: ultra girlyness without being uguu kawaii puke, cute but mature. So although you have ribbons, fluffy pompoms, frilled panels, tulle and pastels you also have pencil skirts, heels, red lipstick, black lace and arrow through heart motifs. Super feminine classic and vintage looks sometimes with a contemporary take. Playfully seductive but classy. Yes there are nymphette/Lolita themes but this is by no means definitive Larme; in fact there is no definitive Larme as it reflects current trends as long as they are sweet/girly and the magazine itself often just uses clothes and outfits to get a story across. If you want the major features in regards to actual fashion items, alot of westerners will site the above mentioned fluffy pompom earrings, high waisted pencil skirt, corset style lace up ribbon feature, fluffy heels/platforms, lace top, cute bag. There are so many looks though, best sources are outfit apps or sites like Wear and Coordisnap and of course the magazine itself.

Bumping with some original bits 'n bobs to try to save the thread.

A friend of mine picked up a copy of larme 021 whilst on holiday in Japan, I loved how it was tied with plastic to help keep its structure. I tried to snap a picture but the cat tried to sit on it. So it's ended up as an attempt at larme-like photography featuring my cat's ass.

I'm really tempted to get something of theirs but I have no idea what the fit is like, and desu I'm not sure if larme has much of a second hand market

> I'm not sure if larme has much of a second hand market

the secondhand market for larme brands is pretty much exclusively on fril.jp and japanaese mercari They're smart phone flea market apps. You will need a specialized ss to buy from them. I've used kairai in the past but there are a few others. I'll see if I can come up with them later. I know Japonica apparently also does it but for a huge fee.

I meant reselling things myself - if I splurged for one of their dresses and it turned out not to fit I'm not sure if I'd be able to successfully sell it. Not sure how efficient the fb group would be and I haven't really seen much larme stuff in the b/s/t thread. On a side note I was considering getting some stuff from mercari so if you have ss suggestions I'd be glad to hear them
>>
>>8938323
Like I said kairai is the one I've used. Here a bit slow though so I'm in the market for a new one. I'll let you know if I find anything.

As for reselling Larme brands, it's pretty much a crapshoot in the western community. you better be sure you want something really badly because you are not going to get back anywhere near what you paid for it.
>>
Sorry for the dumb question, but are there any lolita jumperskirts that could work in larme coordinates as well?
>>
Where can I get cute clip on earrings for larme? They don't seem to be too common in the West and ordering them from Japan is really expensive to my country (draconian customs laws typical of Europe but worse)
>>
>>8938735
Where do you live anon? I mean if you'all be ordering them from abroad anyway it doesn't really make a difference what country you buy them from...
>>
>>8938799
Not really, I don't pay customs for European stores or American stores with registered locations in Europe (like F21). Etsy, eBay etc are also okay, but Tenso, FJ and Buyee all charge exorbitant fees for a small pair of earrings for my location.

You'd think lolita items would work well for Larme, but honestly you're not any more likely to find lolita that works for Larme than normie clothes. Most lolita just has too much frill; Larme tends to be more subdued.
I really can't say I can think of any JSKs that would work, but some of Innocent World's plainer OPs would be alright (see pic related), I'd still go with little to no petti though.
Also if you have anything recent from MILK, that could be nice.
>>
>>8938852
Off the shoulder tops are really popular right now and good for spring/summer. Gingham is also popular in larme any time but especially for spring/summer. High-waisted skirts and high-waisted pants with a retro feeling print. >>8937310 Is a great example of what to look for.

As for details spend a lot of time going through the magazine and popular larme brands. Going through the FB group is also a good way to see good larme outfits next to bad ones. Stay away from things that are too basic, too busy, and poorly fitted (unless you can modify them). Look for pieces with ruffles, puffed sleeves, bows, high-waists, and fabrics like lace, leather, chiffon, satin, sheer fabrics is a good start. I personally try to picture if a piece would look in my favorite style of outfit (layered top, pencil skirt, fluffy sandals).

I posted a few coords a couple of threads back, and all of the items that people asked for most were offbrand normalfag items, mostly picked up from ebay and charity shops, but originally from topshop, new look, primark etc.

Normalfag fashion has had a real sixties revival over the past year or so (I think it's moving onto seventies now though, especially with regard to colour palette and patterns) So things like bardot tops, gingham, oversized woollen coats, pastel coloured items, scalloped hems/edges, etc etc are pretty easy to find. The key is to think of keywords and search terms from the perspective of what they're called in western fashion, and the era they were most popular in.

>>8938735
Fellow non-pierced ear larme lover here! I know that you said that ordering from Japan is expensive, but Paris Kids items are super cheap (~$3 USD) and have a ton of cute options. I'd say about 90% of my earring collection is from them because they're adorable, sturdy, and inexpensive!

http://global.rakuten.com/en/search/?k=%E3%82%A4%E3%83%A4%E3%83%AA%E3%83%B3%E3%82%B0&tl=100486&sid=pariskids&l-id=gs_product_search

If that really isn't an option for you, you can buy earring converters! They don't always work properly (and can look weird) but I've had success with them. You can check on Amazon, I got a pack of 100 for like $8 USD. It can convert any post-style earring that you like and is really easy.
>>
>>8943153
Alternatively, if you can be bothered, you can buy a wirecutter and some clip on earring backs in bulk from somewhere like ebay, then you can snip off the posts from the back of the studs you like, and then glue them to the clip on backs.
>>
Could this possibly work if coordinated in a Larme way? It looks vintage-y and is fairly simple.
>>
>>8944643
I can see it working. Does it look okay without a petti? Because I don't think there should be pettis in larme unless they're suuuupper small.

what are you thinking of wearing with it?

i'd like to see it coorded in a summery style similar to the girl in black in white in >>8937310
>>
>>8944804
It's from Innocent World, and I've heard their stuff is pretty good for wearing casually, so no/very light petticoat should be alright. I'm not sure yet as to what I'd wear with it though.

Happy to hear that you anons wouldn't be annoyed by a review! I know Mon Lily has been pretty popular is all, so I figured people might be sick of hearing reviews regarding them.

Sorry for the kind of crappy collage! The photos on the first and third columns are what I ordered. The photos in the second and forth column are what I received. Risa's in the bottom right to take up the remaining room haha. I haven't ironed or steamed anything yet because it's midterms week.

To preface, I am 5'5" (165cm) and 115lb (52kg). I ordered everything in a size medium, even though a few items recommended me to go larger for my broad shoulders. Everything fits well, though! In general, everything is made out of thick, quality fabric and has no issues whatsoever. I really feel like I invested in quality pieces, even though I only paid about $240 for the whole order, shipping included. Once shipped, it got to me in 3 days from Japan via EMS.

One awesome thing about DreamV/mon lily is that they give you a free shipping coupon which even works internationally! I'm not sure if it's EMS though, but I might check on it since shipping was $75...

Do let me know if you need any worn pictures. I'd be happy to take them. Same for any in-depth review or detail pictures!
>>
>>8952568
They shipped all of the correct colors, by the way! I just used whatever stock photo was most convenient and best quality.

Beware that the black lace shirt is a little short - it doesn't hit your hips. Also the white tee looks really crappy but it's INSANELY soft and well-fitting!

The skirt lengths are accurate to the website. I just checked my measurements against theirs and it fits perfectly. Most of the skirts are 44cm long, with the culottes being 50cm without the straps and the garter skirt being 27cm.

They almost always supply the model's height in the pictures, and she's usually around 165cm, so I usually nab it if it looks good on the model.

Also pictured is the white tee with a black bra underneath to show its opacity. I totally wasn't just too lazy to change to a flesh colored bra or undershirt.
>>
Is there a site or archive that lists measurements for clothes that have not been in-stock for ages? I want to buy a ton of stuff from fril.jp, but obviously not many sellers list the measurements. I don't want to take a risk of stuff not fitting me. Google isn't helpful either, not even in Japanese.
Or alternatively, if any seagulls own the Honey Cinnamon apron-dress on the right, I would appreciate knowing the waist and bust measurements.
>>
>>8954885
Do you have an SS in mind? They could ask for you. You could also look at the measurements of similar current stuff through honey cinnamon's site. Should be pretty similar.

Or you could ask sara Mari. I think she has the dress.
>>
>>8954885
I've had some luck with googling the brand name and general terms related to the item, sometimes you can find shop pages for out of stock items that are still up or auction listings where someone listed the measurements. Alternatively what brands were you thinking of buying from? maybe someone can give you a rough idea of the sizing for that brand. What ss were you thinking of using btw?
>>
>>8954903
>>8954910
I've made one order in the past though From Japan, but back then I only bought items that I could find measurements of. I guess I could ask them to find out the measurements for me, thank you for the advice anons! (Normally I'd use Tenso but I've heard forwarding services don't always work with fril.jp, so I didn't even try).

Honey Cinnamon's sizing has been a hit and miss for me in the past, some items would fit me fine, some not. I've tried Googling measurements for that one apron-dress in particular but couldn't find anything. For my next order I'm going to ask my SS to find out the measurements for me if they can.

The black ones are from Topshop!

Finding shoes pretty much depends on where you're from and how big your feet are. I'm a Eurofag, so I have used sites like Zalando and ASOS, because they have a lot of different brands.
If you can fit into Japanese brands, Mon Lily and Bubbles offer affordable shoes. I have found the quality to be solid and the shoes have been comfortable to wear, too. If you want chunky/platform shoes, then definitely go with Japanese brands. Not that many normie brands still offer good-looking chunky shoes.
Pic is my favourite shoes from Bubbles and Mon Lily at the moment, I think all of them would fit larme.

Other anons could probably share their tips for larme-able shoes as well.

That's why you measure your foot, not your shoes. Trace it on a piece of paper then measure the outline.
>>
>>8968608
Okay, I'm probably being super obtuse now, but if I have multiple pairs that fit me well, they'd have roughly the same sole length, wouldn't they?
>>
>>8968623
Unless they were all exactly the same kind of shoe, of course they wouldn't. The sole length is entirely dependant on the sole, it can be a completely different length for two very similar shoes just because one is slightly taller - If you just draw around the bottom of the shoe, it doesn't take the slope caused by the heel into account.

Pretty much all the music Amo posted in her blog gives me Larme vibes. I personally don't think you can get 'Larme music' but if the music is sung by a female singer, and has whimsical or melancholy or somewhat angsty feels that goes a long way in my book. Ultimately it comes down to the preference of the listener, I have a Larme playlist, its one uniting feature is all the artists are female, and the overall feel is super feminine but most of the music doesn't fit into the same genres.

I am definitely a stan for the e hyphen bonbon Risa collection. I bought a few things from the collection knowing full well the quality wouldn't be quite enough to justify the price annnnd I was right. But I'm so happy to own something from ~Risa~. It's definitely a status thing. I still really love the stuff I did get but I'm hoping I can pick up other pieces later on once the novelty wears off and they drop in price.

I really love katie accessories, though not so much their clothing. It's out of my price range for the most part anyway.

I also really like LilLily but I'm at a loss as to how to wear most of it myself. All their stuff looks so comfy.

I also like rosary moon but I don't see it around very much. I really want that one top xoxsaramari has with the keyhole and the pompom.

I used to really like honey cinnamon but it seems a little too juvenile to me now. It works better for the yume kawaii/yurayura style now.

Eatme also has some lovely pieces.

I LOVE Crayme. I own quite a bit from them. I'm so disappointed that they've pretty much dropped off the face of the earth. What the hell happened? I want a new collection! I hope you can find some of their stuff secondhand.

Ugh verybrain. Agreed that they are gorgeous but that price tag is insane. Has anyone come into contact with verybrain clothing in the flesh? Is it worth it's ridiculous inflated price tag?

What did you get from the new Bonbon so far? I'm really tempted to buy a few more things when the second part of the summer collection gets released in a few days (my boner for Risa is strong) but yeah it seems quite overpriced. I wouldn't be so sure about the sales though as basically the only things left from the spring collection atm are those bizarre jumper dresses which don't even look flattering on the model.

I have a LilLilly shirt and I have to say I can see what you mean, it's quite tricky to coord but the material is lovely, so in terms of quality I'm happy with it.

Thanks anon
Really want to get that skirt but can anyone better versed in Ali speak explain what the hell microbomb is supposed to mean? I'm trying to find out if the waistband has any stretch at all
>>
>>8979786
I bought the "bizarre looking jumper dress" hahaha. I love it. Personally I think it looks adorable.

Oh and I wasn't talking about sales, I was talking about secondhand. For right now secondhand is still really expensive. I'm waiting for secondhand prices to go down. People don't want to part with their pieces yet.

Nice 1. Which one did you get? I was considering getting some comfy larme stuff but damn the stock photos really didn't sell those dresses well.
Yeah right now secondhand stuff is as or more expensive than buying new. I haven't seen much of it around to be honest. I'm after this fucking sailor top that sold out like 3 times but not sure if I'll be able to find it.
>>
>>8979786
>explain what the hell microbomb is supposed to mean

I wondered that too, I thought perhaps its to do with the fastenings?

One of the reviews said "The skirt material is NOT flimsy quality and is of a stretchy, suede-like texture"

I would expect things to start popping up more readily on mercari and fril and the like after the summer. It'll probably take a season or two for the older items in the collection to lose their appeal and become more available.

I got the jumper dress in pink. The fabric feels quite nice and it's very soft and comfy. I like the weird not quite under bust look of it too. I can tell why it would put some people off though haha.
>>
>>8979894
If it's suede-like, could micro bomb be related to microfiber?

Whoa big cultural barrier there, I'm in the UK so pic attached is what would be called a jumper dress here (that's one of the bizarre ones I meant), what you posted would be a pinafore probably. I was actually thinking of getting the one you did but I figured it would odd if you were more busty.

Gonna dump some Crayme now

Ahh sorry for the confusion! I forgot about the jumper=sweater thing. Honestly I also forgot the piece you posted existed since it's so un-noteworthy to me. Definitely one of the weaker pieces of the collection. I remember people wtfing over my dress when the collection first came out so figured that was what you meant.

And yeah I'm not sure what it would look like if you're more busty. I will say it has quite a bit of stretch though, so that wouldn't be the issue. It would probably end up sitting lower on the chest than it does on the models.
>>
>>8982122
Also the straps literally tie together at the top so you can adjust them a little bit for length which might help with any bust issues.
>>

I don't really like the waistband much. It's kind of too fussy to be a basic piece but not stand out enough to build an outfit around.

Try the magazine itself?
>>
>>8990086
The FB page has so few good outfits that it's not even useful for outfit inspiration. Besides the fact so few of them are clear. Try larme brand twitter/blogs/instagrams, and tumblr has few larme blogs that update often.

>>8990552
Katie has several pieces and editorials that are way too nymphet-like for my tastes... It's like everything is either retro, which is why I love Katie, or nymphet.

Yeah a lot of is filtered to hell and back because muh aesthetics. I'm definitely guilty of this myself too. Really love this girl's outfits though & they're not obnoxiously edited either.

>>8993437
Katie definitely, I've been thinking about getting something from them but I really have no idea if the price is worth it.
Maybe some of the new bonbon
stuff too?

In general it would be cool if more anons could post some reviews of the stuff they got from larme brands in terms of fit and quality. Tempted to do that myself but I don't have enough pieces from any specific brand to make any judgements really...
>>
>>8993437
I'd be interested. I wish I had recommendations on where to go to buy Larme brands secondhand but I had no answer for you when you posted. Maybe you can find something when you get there by poking around. I wonder if xoxsaramari would know some? She seems to go to Japan quite a bit.
>>
>>8992546
What outfits do you mean aren't larme? Not trying to pick a fight, I'm just new to the fashion and don't want to call something larme when it isn't. Examples of what is thought of as larme but isn't?

Any of you going to enter the contest on the fbook group? It looks like it will be fun. Kind of worried that things like filters/setting/aesthetics may weigh more heavily than the actual outfits though..
>>
>>8995317
I think I'm going to enter to help make the group feel more active! Simple outside photos. Not sure what I want to wear yet. Most of my larme pieces aren't very picnic feeling.
>>
>>8995317
I might! I've been wanting to organize a picnic when the weather gets warm (it's still chilly in my part of Canada) so this will be a good motivator to actually do that.

I'm very tempted to although I haven't posted any outfits to the group yet, that would be as good a reason as any to start I suppose.

Source of the skirt/shorts (I'm not into larme so I don't really know how to call it, but I need one in my life)?
>>
>>8997011
That's from E hyphen world gallery Bonbon. It's sold out unless you want the white colorway but even then I think you'll need an instore SS because they're only in stock in the physical store (checked yesterday).

Speaking of Bonbon, I splurged and got the pleather garter skirt. Design is gorgeous but honestly doubting if it's worth the price. The pleather skirts also run really small (I'm average Japanese sized) so keep that in mind too.

Also, anyone got some Larme coords with brown shoes? Just got some of those new 3 ribbon heels in brown from Bubbles, probably should've gotten the black ones.

That's not great to hear, my BonBon order is on the way so I really hope it won't be a disappointment. My package ended up being really expensively, how on earth can a top, skirt and nightie weight 1kg wtf.
Speaking of brown shoes I've seen some good outfits from Fint, I know it's borderline larme, but still, they've been featured in the magazine quite a few times.

>>
>>8994981
Okay so I went to E Hyphen World Gallery Bonbon today and the first thing I noticed is that everything is really tiny. Like I'm a large in western sizing, but I can usually fit into at least a couple things at any given store, but there's no chance for me there. After that, the quality is really variable; some things like the sailor crop tops look fantastic, but others are a little lacking given the cost. The heart chokers for example, the leathers not cut very cleanly and the stitching connecting the hearts is a lot more obvious than in the stock photos, like I mean it's alright, but I don't think it's worth ¥4000. Other items, especially the quilted tote bags, were kind of plasticky too.

Maybe Ive just been desensitized to Japanese prices but I went there yesterday and it seemed really reasonable to me??? I was expecting $100+ for most items but there were plenty of cute things in the 60-90 range. But I feel you on the sizing thing. Im skinny but mad pear shape and so while things like dresses and tops aren't bad but I felt bad even looking at the pants, my ass would fuck those things up

Goddamn anons, I tried ordering stuff from Fashionwalker and E Hyphen World Gallery Bonbon but they do not seem to accept debit cards. Any other people had this problem? I just want cute clothes, anons ;__;
