Now for the hard part. What specific type of ouji best matches hime? Ouji is boystyle lolita, but except for gothic or sweet ouji, magazines and wearers don't really differentiate in substyles to the degree lolita does. Also, ouji means prince, so you might think at first that any ouji would be a good companion look. But I really want to think of ways to coord an ouji outfit that has the same royal feeling as hime lolita.
Hime lolita has fallen out of style in favor of OTT classic with crowns. But Hime isn't always OTT. It is, however, often fancy, even when it is simple. There is often big hair, and elegant touches like gloves, pearls, gold... What would the boy version look like?
I will post ouji coords that I hope match the "feeling" or aesthetic of hime lolita. Let me know what you think...

Or maybe it would be better to pull more from Rococo fashion, since that is what Hime usually does?
>>8902731
Well-coiffed or even elaborate hair seems like a must.
>>8902734
>>8902739
But there is also glamour in hime lolita, so that can't be discounted.
>>8902744
A kind of "Rococo indulgence plus modern glamour."

Pic related is my favorite so far.
>>8902754
This style also appeals.
>>8902760
But, I keep returning to Rococo influence.

Any good coords with veils?
>>8905143
None done well. Hime peaked long before veils became trendy.

It's gyaru inspired hime, it's supposed to look a little cheap.

Quick question, do bonnets work for hime, or are bows and/or crowns preferred for the whole look?
>>8915711
>>8915715
I think they can work, can try to track down examples. hats, flowers, and other headdresses are more common though
>>8915747
bonnets take a bit of the "hime" aspect away, i think
