These guys are doing it for fashion; tumblrinas only do it for the asspats. This thread has a lot of people in weird clothes (not just the skirts, outlandish clothing in general) but they're a very different brand of weird to Tumblr's, which focuses more on giant pouty lips, partially shaved pastel hair, makeup, and freckles. None of them are wearing flower crowns or looking soft and pouty. There's a lot of black and most of them look more punk than anything you'd find on Tumblr, where any punk look is either accessorized with bright girly accessories or done to show that fat gurrlz r sexayh n fierce. Also, they're guys, and most Speshul Gender tumblrites are girls getting off on pretending to be boys.
Tl;dr this is certainly special snowflake, but the statement they're making and looks they go for are a whole lot different to Tumblr's special brand of androgyny.
This is a great thread, thank you for sharing! It's cool to see guys being fashionable rather than just wearing variations of suits/shirts and pants.
