How does splitting up packages work on taobaoring? I'm getting two pairs of shoes and I have a feeling the shipping is gonna be a bit higher since they're platforms, both of them. It's cheaper to do it this way, right?
Would I still pay shipping all at once or as the packages come? Like paying to ship each one out?
I would ask them but every time I've asked them something it's always somewhat legible english but not really.

During the 11/11 sales I bought some costumes from the Uwowo Tmall store, I had a LOT of stuff so i split it up into two orders.
One of the orders was sent fine with no problems (Order 1), but according to the order details page the second order (Order 2) was split into 3 packages. Two of these packages from Order 2 arrived to me safely, but I never got the 3rd package.
I messaged Uwowo about this when I got the package, who said they would send out the missing costumes with some more costumes I'd bought that day (Order 3). The next day, Order 3 has been marked as shipped and Order 2 (missing costumes) has been marked as shipped too, sweet.
Fast forward a couple weeks, I got everything I ordered from Uwowo that day and yet STILL I did not have the missing costumes from Order 2; looking at the order details page now, they've assigned it the same tracking number as Order 1, which clearly doesn't make sense when you look at the times the orders were shipped.
Basically, I'm not sure where these three costumes from Order 2 have gone and I'm not sure who to contact. Do I contact Uwowo and ask what the actual tracking number of the package was, or do I contact the FS to ask if a package from Uwowo has popped up?

I am not really an expert , so don't quote me, but contact them again to make sure they have shipped it, and make them provide proof that they have. If they have, then maybe it has been lost in the shipping process.

Starting with the gray wig that someone asked for a review a while back. The color is pretty true to the picture. It doesn't really have much of a gradient but it's nice!
The wigs from manreally seem to run on the smaller-average size. My head is around 22 inches and it took a bit to get it on my head. The wigs are incredibly soft and thick. Glad I took my chances on this store!

But Taiga cosplay is actually pretty accurate when it comes to custom sizing. I did botch the measuring of my shoulder or sleeves though since the jacket lifts partially on the left in the photo. It's pretty comfortable and well made!
The wig itself is sort of those basic wigs that you get on ebay. It is pretty decent quality though. It's a matter of being able to tame it in the style you want. Gets in the way a lot, but it's pretty thick and the color's pretty spot on with the picture.

Apparently you can self-declare with some difficulty (in the UK at least), but it seems tricky to do. I've been trying to work out how to do it. I think you ask your seller to not include a customs dec, and write "Customs to be declared by importer".
I get Spreenow to mark the prices way down, and it does help a bunch. It doesn't help that depending on if its marked as CNY or HKD, customers sometimes misinterpret the pricing. It's worth asking your service to write clearly the currency code. If they're good they may even put it down in GBP/ Euro.
A final option is to ask your shopping service to mark it as "personal belongings". They can still put down the individual items (to make sure they are legal for importing) but then you don't pay tax. You may have to ask the sender to mark your name down as the sender and the reciever but I don't think this gets checked.
Do be warned that you get charged taxes on your postage costs too. Make sure you account for these when calculating all costs up front.
I personally do bigger orders; Royal Mail/ Parcelforce charge £13.50 on top of your customs fees for the pleasure of them delivering you a note informing of the cost, so I'd rather be in for a penny in for a pound on it.

Usually things do get listed individually in my experience. If it just says "goods" or "clothes" or whatever then customs will suspect there's a big order in there and will open up and apply a new price. Or, like I said, you're paying VAT on your postage (eu law I think). :(

Dutchie here, I've ordered plenty of times the past few years and never been hit with customs while I think our customs are pretty strict. Dunno how valid this is for other countries but my recommendation is to use SAL shipping. It's been the only shipping method that has always passed through customs unscathed for me. Takes a while but it's cheap af anyway. My packages are 200-400 euros in worth and marked down to about 60.
