I've done Seven Lucky Gods Maki, doing the Magician card in a few months.
I planned on doing Constellation Hanayo, but I have a friend who made her entire Honoka cosplay and it was impressive but painful to watch.
I imagine the new Fairy set is going to get a few cosplays, have yet to see any plans.

The swatches I printed were on the cheapest cotton, so they're not nearly as vibrant as they can or should be. I actually got an email that SF is changing their printing colors so they're sending me free replacement swatches soon. If the colors are noticeably different I'll post an updated picture when I get them, but you probably don't want to use basic cotton for this outfit anyway.

I'm in the middle of making cyber nozomi, and so far the only part that has given me trouble is finding a good trim to use for the tutu/petti. Nowhere seems to sell scalloped ribbon over 1/4". I'm hoping that a scalloped eyelet trim will look ok, y/n? im also trying to be price-conscious about it seeing as I have to buy a shit ton of it.

What are you making the dress out of? Because you could make it by hand. It'll take a while but a friend did that for a CCS Sakura cosplay. Did scallops on ribbon and fray checked them. If you use a thin vinyl or other material, you could without having to fray check it.

hii everyone! I'm doing crossplay with a love live group my gf is in and I'm going to be rin from the bokutachi no kiseki set. My girlfriend has made cosplay before by editing clothing and so we decided to make our costumes, but I've never ever even done a premade cosplay before yet alone crossplay.

i think we have some crossplay threads in the archive that might be helpful to check out. if you have a small frame you already have an advantage- look up female contouring and basic cosplay makeup. false lashes and circle lenses will make you look extra cute. also make sure you do something with your brows, whether its the gluestick method or shaping them yourself- it seems small but its a dead giveaway to me, since girls tend to have more well-kept brows than guys.

The trim on the top looks horrible, the text printed on the top is way too big, the skirt isn't even pleated that way in the card art, that plastic fabric looks like shit and it's going to photograph even worse. Did someone drop you in a barrel of salt as a kid anon? If I wanted a super great accurate cosplay I would've made it myself since I am an educated seamstress, but in this case I wanted a quick, cheap cosplay that i could wear with my friends, all matching, since I have bigger cosplays to do.
I never said it was amazing, i said it was great for the prixe, which it is since it was 80$ shipped. The trim is easily replacable, The skirt is pleated as the card (it is a pleated circle skirt just like the card) it is just short so the pleats don't even out in the end, and of course a PVC material will look like shit with an ancient phones camera in bad lightning inside. It is a nice pvc though, not great, but it doesn't wrinkle, it has a texture that makes it more matte than you'd think.

You can try sewing a toupee clip into the center back. Do it at the level of where the size adjustment elastics would hook on, that way it won't be gripping just the fine hairs at the edge of your harline. Also gel your rear hairline up when you put your wigcap on.

I'll still give them a chance because there really hasn't been enough out there to really fall in love with them and they have big shoes to fill. Still I think the characters and story all seem pretty "safe" with a lot of tropes that could be matched up with Muse equivalents and boring character designs. I wish they had taken a ballsier move and used the girls from the game like the YG International school. Then again it would be weird to make a bunch of N cards the premium characters suddenly.

Considering muse is disbanding, both the voice actors and well, the group in the story, I would it's pretty clear aqours will end up replacing them in the game. How exactly they go through with this we won't see for another few months. My guess is that for people caught up with the muse story, the aqours will just start, but there would need to be some way to stick to muse / get both or to start with aqours for newer players. The game's popularity is dwindling and they need new blood to make it work again, they basically have to risk everything, but they need to do it well. I have faith in Aqours actually.
They might still do card sets of muse after the change, but since the last single is coming in a couple of weeks, (well the first song of it was already added), there won't be any new material very soon.

Aqours wounded me. I found µ's to be my first ever idol thing that I loved, and I got really passionat about them. They inspired me in so many ways to stay positive and keep trying no matter what, and then they pulled this stuff off with Aqours.
The way they did it is so wrong too. If they'd just first announced the disbanding of µ's due to other work the seiyuus need to do, and waited like a week or two weeks after µ's officially disbanded and only then announced Aqours as "someone who will keep the torch lit" it would've felt like someone was watching out for the fans.
The way they announced Aqours now made it feel like they're pushing them by saying "No, fuck µ's, here's the new hotness, grab 'em while its hot" with announcing them, then saying that µ's will be disbanding.
I wanted to give Aqours a chance of its own, but it seriously cut deep into me. I can't even look at some of the art without just feeling betrayed in some way.
I'll never do any idol shit ever again.

I think the Aquors hate is stupid and pretentious. The 2nd chapter in Love Live franchise (not µ's franchise, mind you) has only just begun. Coming from a oldfag Love Live fan, the µ's girls were not that special or interesting back in 2011 when only the PVs and a couple of bios existed. The anime and mobile game really made them come alive.

A lot of the hate is from a place of pain, anon. A lot is us are attached to our mains and this new group can't measure up to the magic that a lot of us felt getting into this idol stuff for the first time. I never got into im@s because of that creepy self insert producer shit, but LL! Actually felt like a bonding anime, with girls working together to succeed. Like a sports anime, but with cute outfits we can cosplay from. They felt realistic rather than "whelp, let me tick off some common fap-worthy attributes" like the im@s characters tend to feel. I don't know. I'm just feeling a little melancholic snout it all.
I also kind of wish they mixed it up, like having 6 idols rather than the same number. I know that would mess up gameplay and their gimick, but I think it'd make them feel like something new to get excited about rather than a reskin of the μ's girls.
I also wouldn't mind an anime with some of the normal cards. They all seem like interesting girls.

Exactly. A lot of these "I felt so attached to muse" people do not really understand idol business I'm afraid. Love Live might not have the same creep factor that flesh and skin idols have, but it works with the same rules. A girls grows up to be an idol, and then graduates when they are at their absolute peak.
That's what muse did. There is no more story to tell. Let muse have its exit when they are at their prime. I would feel more sad with the girls would slowly fading into obscurity.

I think thats whats neat about idols though. Everyone has a magical period in time where that was THE BEST LINEUP EVER. It just all really depends on when you get into them, not so much the quality.

If I did do it I'd do a very upbeat one, probably almost all spins and tone down any 'sexyness' but still probably to out of theme for them and like I said my instructor would probably give me very weird looks if I rented out the studio for an hour and came in wearing that. I'm still pretty neutral about Aquors. I don't dislike them but I don't like them either, like most people they just feel too much like every's girl 2.0 so far. The designs feel too much like I can only tell them apart by hair.

You need 2 copies of a card to idolize her (ie. the picture you replied to is idolized)
The first copy can be earned by reaching a certain number of points in the event. You don't have to try super hard to get this one.
The second copy can be earned if you get above a certain rank. This is referred to as tiering. This is the hard part.
You can also pull the card when scouting, but it has a lower chance than a regular SR.
So that 1st place prize for the offline tournament at AB, pretty cool Huh?

You get one card regularly by meeting a point threshold during the event time and then you need another copy of the same card to get the "idolized" version. If you make it into the top 2 point tiers you're guaranteed to get that other card. After the event is over the card can be pulled from the regular gacha boxes when that girl is available. They say event cards have a lower chance of being pulled but I've gotten 3 just fine.
