Not OP, but the text running across the bodice and the clumsy macro in the center take away from the dress as a whole.
I feel like it should have been left blank- possibly in a different texture or fabric.

No, if you were to wear that in public then most people without knowledge of lolita would just see you as a very religious person. Christian symbolics can work as a decorative element in japan much like foregin religious symbolics are used as decorations in the west.
This was one of my first inspirations for religious Goth Lolita.
