Could we have a Cult Party Kei thread? I never see it posted, and I am in need of some new content, if anyone can share any pictures. Also, any resources such as blogs, shops, general inspo, etc would be cool! Even share your coords if you have any!
Do you feel like CPK is a dying trend?
What are your favorite parts of it, and what are you sick of seeing?
What do you think people get wrong when they attempt CPK?
Dumping.
>>8853232
All for now! I'll dump more later.
>>8853237
God bless you, anon.
>>8853176
This doesn't really feel like CPK
>>8853713
More like tumblr not even trying-kei
Kinda glad it's dying. I was getting really sick of the same silhouette/items in every coord. It needs something new, but people are just choosing to go to other styles than to stay in CPK.
>>8853684
I got'chu senpai
>>8853721
Yeah, I see what you mean. Was kind of dumping fast, sorry.
>>8853722
I think it's such a pretty style, and I don't want it to die, but it just needs something fresh.

It was generally how tumblr misinterprets CPK
>>8854679
I have the sauce on those red cross necklaces if anyone's interested
>>8853168
>Do you feel like CPK is a dying trend?
No but it's more of a summer fashion. The magical girl inspired kind is the one still beeing worn the most because of the brand Apolia.
>>8854804
I fear CPK is dying because it comes from dolly kei and dolly kei is nearly dead
>>8855500
It doesn't come from dolly kei actually, they both developed independently but around the same time frame. It was when there was a huge vintage Western clothing boom in the Tokyo scene, but that's diminished a lot. Grimoire and The Virgin Mary have toned down their styles a lot to reflect the current trends. Vintage isn't as popular right now. It might come back though.
>>8854668
i agree w/ you but its been years and people are STILL doing pastel pegnoir + shorter white dress. I'm so bored with it, seems like most of the people pushing the fashion are, too.
Can I get some opinions/concrit on this outfit?
In retrospect maybe I should lose the gloves but any other suggestions would be appreciated
>>8860761
You have too much stuff going on especially on your head, it's hard to focus anywhere. And yes lose the gloves and post a more upright and better lit picture so we can see the coord more clearly.
>>8860761
I like your color choices and some of your accessories, but you're verging on the edge of frumpy. The bag and the knit scarf (and whatever the knit/lace thing is near your bag) specifically look not too great to me, and the gloves look a little cheap too. The shoes and bear are really cute though.Like the other anon said, it's a little much, so just try and shed a few layers. I think some bracelets rather than gloves/wristcuffs might be better, and tone down the stuff around your neck enough so you can wear a pendant or something too. it's a little too flowy and you can't' differntiate between any of the details as it is, so taking off some layers and adding in something solid like a brooch or necklace could add a little more definition. Also you could probably get some tights with a cute design on them really easy from Alie Express instead of just plain white ones.
>>8861245
Okay you gotta help me understand this, because I like the cpk I see but I don't dress in it yet. All the street snaps I've seen... look pretty frumpy. How does one not look frumpy in this style or rather what do you mean by frumpy in this instance?
>>8861250
It's a fine line definitely. But I think this anon's problem was looking kind of cheap (with the gloves esp, the pleather bag, maybe the fake flowers too) and wearing too many layers. That pushes it to negative frumpy. CPK does not have to be a clusterfuck, it's more about being flowy with a lot of dream-like details (for me at least).

>>8854668
>>8853231
For example, all of those have lots of layers and details but for one, they don't look cheap, and second, they don't blend into each other and get lost. you can see "this is lacy, this is knit, this is fluffy" and then appreciate how they all kind of clash together but still look pretty.
Idk maybe I am BS-ing though.
Pic related is an example of something that I think looks legitimately frumpy but still is not really as frumpy as the anon's coord, because again, not toooo many layers
>>8861257
I see what you mean now but one of those girls is wearing a long cardigan over and even longer cardigan - and it's cute, and doesn't look cheap so much as it just comes across as a hipster who went dumpster diving for clothes to pose as a pastel homeless person.
That aside, I actually really enjoy the fashion and want to have at least one cpk coord in my wardrobe someday. Especially the religious and medical aspects as I really like menhara too.
So you know, not trying to be too critical.
>>8860761
lose the gloves and get a different bag
http://tokyofashion.com/antique-doll-fashion-priere/
Interesting.
>>8861257
I actually think that anon was closet to the japanese street snap style and the style you like and are recommending is the western tumblr one with floaty peignoirs...
>>8861873
Fair enough I guess but I still think it's important to highlight texture and details all of the street snap coords tend to do that, but it didn't really happen in the anons coord.
>>8860761
I like this!
>>8861245
Anyone have sauce on these shoes?
