It still is really off. The corset is the wrong color and shape, the boots are entirely wrong, the skirt has no ruffles, the shirt is wrong (did you seriously just put a normal longsleeve top off of your shoulders?), the pigtails are too low. This looks like closet cosplay to be honest.

Ahahaha this is actually my first time making a full set of armor, and I learned a lot in the process. Used a lot of old kamui tutorials, specifically the one where she covered EVA wedges with gold lycra for the filigree on her Alexstrasza costume.
I'm never doing that again, and will opt for paint/primer next time but I still liked how it turned out.

gosh thanks so much!! the location was fun to shoot at but the castle is at the edge of a high cliff, and it was REALLY windy up there so we had trouble getting a good shot. you can kind of tell from this pic how windy it was, though this one's probably my least favorite from the shoot because i'm making a dumb face and you can see all the issues with the bodice of the dress that i mentioned before.

for the barbed wire I bought a bunch of electric cable and twisted two pieces together unevenly. then secured parts with strong double sided tape.
Barbs are strips of aluminium (?) paper i found lying around and secured to the double sided tape with hot glue since hot glue doesnt stick to electrical cable at all.
then spray painted grey. After it dried I hand painted it all brown.

I really love this location. It's the art gallery café in the city, it has a small garden. I thought it would be perfect as Youmu is a gardener and she guards a stairway similar to this one.

I use powdered cinnamon and apply it using spray on clear paint (doesnt matter whether its acrylic or enamel). I then usually add some paint details on top of the cinnamon with shades of oranges/purple. I seal all of it with clear auto enamel primer so there's no smell and it doesn't attract ants.

I loath the look of sub dye in the place of good spandex applique. People keep using sub dye in an effort to add realism and dimension but I find that they actual look flat and grossly cartoony (not in a comic-y good way but in a lack of depth way) when used for most super hero costumes.

The only reason that looks so terrible, is because the subdye pattern was shaded terribly, and then sewn together in such a way that it doesn't line up. Similarly, you can have really bad applique that would also look like shit.
This same argument has been had with Worbla, 3D printers, certain types of fabrics, different kinds of foam, paints, and petty much everything else you can think of. It's not the material, or the method that is bad. It is only ever the person making it. If they suck at it, or half-ass it, then it will look half-assed.

It's my first time attempting Ciri makeup, from the Witcher 3. I didn't do freckles because I don't know howwwwww. Mostly wanting to see if you guys think the wig share looks good, and the scar.
Everything else needs work. Doing an on purpose smudged eyeliner like her is harder than I thought haha.

Ill try to put this nicely but you may want to get a more accurate skirt (with a houndstooth pattern) and wig needs to be more red brown. The clips ons arent even the same colour as the base even if you do stay with this one. Additionally you need to cut the bangs, they look like they've just been parted to one side.
Rise is a simple cosplay its a bit of a shame you didnt even bother with trying to get the details right.

You could say it's a warmer grey but from what I can see your wig is more neutral instead of cool. Like inbetween the two.
In the photos of yourself the wig is two different colours so I'm looking at the one on the right as I assume that's what it looks like in person. The one on the left matches your reference more.

Next time you're at Youma or MCM, the best places to shoot are outside. In between the RenCen and Cobo, there's a park with a labor monument that's perfect for sci-fi shots. A ten minute walk in the opposite direction and there's wetlands, a creek, and a cute carousel to break into.
