I don't think you're supporting your case too well. If you look up faceup videos you can see a trend in the makeup. They all have airbrush shading on the mouth, cheek, undereye and forehead area that gives that classic bjd look. It definitely has its own look in thatt sense, no matter what the color palette is.
Whether it's a "thing" in actual makeup is debatable. There are tutorials on YouTube that present bjd makeup but I don't think any of them really differ from dolly makeup tutorials. None has exactly captured the look that can be easily recognized as makeup like a bjd. Either way (trying to stay on topic) those who cling to barely there trends tend to be wannabe efame whores and itas so I wouldn't be claiming a ~bjd makeup look~ in public too often just yet.
