They are quite easy to find, you just have to keep an eye out for millitary outlets. Out of curiosity, which country are you in? Finding a size that fits can be hard, and you might have to sow it in a bit, but you'll end up with 'national flavour' depending on where you get it. Mine are Swedish and British ^^

Esceially since winter and fall is arriving I like to wear thicker ribbed tights! I think they add realism to the uniform too, since that's generally what's worm with uniforms when it's cold.

I go the full mile and buy conomi, haven't tried bodyline or etc because I really don't want people to think I am cosplaying. If you can bear to save up or you can afford it I really recommend it.

Find out if there is any Primark in Spain at all, that's where I found cardigans in many colours. Further, H+M has had cord-knit cardigans in the mens dept, never underestimate the mens dept. Uniqlo now has an EU site, and might not have 100% all of the time, but sometimes has good stuff.

Depends on the context, though I do agree with you. I was meaning to get a Cambridge Satchel Co bag as an old-fashioned backpack to wear with lolita and as a general stylish pack(because back issues), then found out a randoseru would be cheaper and more ergonomical, plus it looks like an expensive preppy brand backpack in the west. And it looks great with otome-kei! Quality-wise and ergonomically, it is the best damn bag I'd ever had.
I'd probably reccomand people get a dark leather-coloured one if they want to use it for nanchatte, since that tends to read less as a randoseru by virtue of colour alone. Cambridge satchel's canvas bags are probably the best close-but-not-really.
Mine is bright red, so I try to balance it by adding masculine/grown-up touches like single-colour hairbands, muted stockings, simple hairclips.

Extremly shit quality, but his should give an idea of how to carry a grown-up randoseru. Simple, grown-up bling, muted colour scheme. Note the beige blouse keeps the red consistant, and dark pantyhose make it less childish, as opposed to kneesocks.

From my experience, 100% cotton, non-stretch is good, as is medium-weight wool fabric. Note these are taken from millitary stuff and a freind's japanese(non-school uniform, but still) sailor uniform, so anyone with actual experience woud be appriciated.

Is all the nanchatte around only Japan-based?
Anon lived in the UK for a while, where school-uniform stuff are cheaply available, match it up enough to distinguish yourself from schools in the area and you are gold to go(sweater-vests, no blazer emblem, ribbon instead of tie, differing colours, etc).
Drawback is ofc that you end up looking more british than japanese, because plaid and knife-pleated skirts are a bitch to find.. This can be remedied with kneesocks, but does /egl have any views on nanchatte with other countries?

I shop at my local school store for now. Every school where I live require their students to wear a uniform, except private schools, so I just drop into the local school uniform shop and buy the skirts and shirts I need. Plus it isn't that weird as I don't look too different from when I was 17...
When I first started out, all I had to do was style and cut my old uniform. Sadly Ill be moving to the mainland, where I don't think uniforms are as common and I may have trouble find stuff.

Your boobs will work out. Don't worry about the size of 'em unless they won't fit into larger clothing. Big chests are only 'slutty' if you carry them like so. And if you're bigger, you probably just have excess fat, which is a different kind of big boob than 'natural Ds'
Also, if you have cellulite visible(oatmeal texture) on thighs, consider wearing tights to cover up the texture while emphasizing your shape. If you don't have cellulite, you just have adorable thighs, and should flaunt them with knee or otk-socks.

It definitely depends on the work. Wearing actual nanchatte to work sounds like pixiteri levels of cringe. I would compromise by wearing preppy style, say to an office job. Goes without saying though, if your work has a dress code you should be wearing that anyway. Wearing nanchatte in your own time, well it's your life you can wear what you want, but if you're specifically referring to how others will react to your wearing it, or what they will think of you, especially if they know you are no longer attending school, I guess that depends on where you live and how much you are effected by others opinions and So on. Also, I know alot of people are not going to want to hear this, but if you actually look like a school kid/are young looking/cute you are more likely to get away with it and have less or no negative responses from people.

I live in London and pretty much every school has uniforms but like I said, I adjust the nanchatte style for my current job so it doesn't look so school uniform-ish. I NEVER wear knee high socks or ankle socks for example, usually tights. If I wear otk's I usually wear a skirt that covers the tops. I tend to wear more sombre colours as well (I know some jobs that would be fine with the cute pastel pink outfit in pic related though). This is probably a really stupid question but this is my first time seeing a name for this style. I went to Japan earlier this year and saw a lot of girls wearing this style! Are they mostly all in high school? A lot of them seemed older but I wasn't sure. And are they wearing their actual school uniforms and accessorizing them or do they usually buy these outfits? We have the same shoe size! Inexpensive school uniform supply stores in the US and UK (e.g. French Toast) will carry fake leather ones for a low price. High-end department stores and traditionally preppy brands (Ralph Lauren, Brooks Brothers, etc.) will carry leather ones in much higher quality. Check the boys' section for both.
Also, searching for children's penny loafers will bring up many results.

Yeah I am from America. I know they have uniforms but they didn't seem like it was their *actual* uniform if that makes any sense? I'm probably wrong, though. I was just surprised since they had a bunch of accessories on, heavy makeup, loose socks, and their skirts were really, really short. Oh, yeah. I went to a girls' school in the UK that had uniforms. This was standard. How much you could slowly and subtly edge it in during the day was a talent that earned you a lot of respect. Girls often brought in uniform-looking skirts but shorter to change into after schools.

Need tie/sock/shoe advice for these. I can't put my finger on it, but the blazer looks a little off. The closest I can think of is that it's giving you man shoulders, which makes it worse by the fact that it's very boxy around the waist. I guess since it's a stiffer fabric, as compared to a cardigan, it makes you look fat instead of a thin girl wearing something oversized.

it's a nice blazer but I do think it looks like a generic office/suit blazer rather than something suitable for school uniform, even of the nanchatte variety.
If you look at other blazer looks in this thread and elsewhere, you'll see that they tend to be shorter and often have upper pocket, piping and emblem/logo details and quite often feature gold buttons. The neck lines aren't as low either.
At the very least I would recommend swapping out the buttons for gold and wearing the blazer open with a smart sweater/vest or cardigan underneath in grey or pale beige.
The rest is really cute though.
