My question drowned under lace drama, so I'm turning it into a photo thread.

Baggy OPs have been a thing in lolita for some time now in some Japanese brands (AP holy lantern, BtssB Maria, etc) and now indie brands are jumping on the bandwagon. Usually these OPs have no defined waist (hence bag). Sometimes a similar look is achieved with a simple waist seam (Ista Mori OP)

How does the baggy OP look on a plus size girl? I'm tall (almost 182cm) but busty at 115cm and am looking for inspiration. Can I pull this look off?

Post your pics of lolitas wearing baggy OPs.

Hard mode: plus size lolita.
>>
Ista Mori- looks like baggy OP but has a little bit of a waist.

>Plus sized and busty

Don't anon. Just dont. I know it seems good in theory but it will look soooo bad. There is a reason you don't see plus sized girls wearing it. They are made with a slim flat figure in mind. It will make you look much fatter, and the way the dress puckers at the cleavage in >>8699379
is just really bad, despite the coord being good. I am a plus sized busty girl myself and I dream of wearing those and being cute, but it just won't happen....

Also >>8699367 is a low waist dress.
>>
this is my favorite type of dress but I'm short so I know I'll look like I'm drowning in fabric
>>
>>8699355
I'm skeptical about this dress. Without someone pulling on the skirt like >>8699370 it probably just hangs down and makes you look like a tube. It doesn't look like it's cut to flare out.
>>
>>8699384
This
You will look like a huge wardrobe (a furniture )

They barely look ok in thin girls, only if they are short
>>
>>8699384
This. Also the shoulders and sleeves are going to be obviously too small on a larger frame.
>>
>>8699379
I love her coordinates, she's always so cute.
>>
>>8699422
Not if it's a dress that's custom made to fit the larger size.
>>
>>8699384
>>8699409
>>8699422

But maybe I'm not looking to look flattering, just comfortable and feel cute.
Inb4 oh god no, I wear lolita almost daily, so comfort is a plus.

>>8699384
Anon, you can make it happen. Yes it's going to look shapeless, but if it makes you happy, why the heck not? As long as you go in with the knowledge that there will be hate if you post pics online... but then again lolita isn't only about posting pictures online.
>>
>>8699373
sauce on the op?
>>
>>8699409
sorry for OT, but is german your mother tongue? I've never heard someone use "looking like a wardrobe" outside of german before.
>>
>>8699469
It's from Elegy, indie brand. She's got a velvet and non velvet version out now. Custom sizing available.
>>
>>8699469
>>8699628

This particular dress is from Glitter Tale, an indie brand from Vietnam. I don't think it's available to to buy on their Facebook but they could probably do a custom one for you.
>>
>>8699370
Oh, this is the dress from CoF? It looked so cute in the floordinate but actually doesn't look very nice worn.
>>
>>8699386
Yup, people always say they're great on tiny and petite girls (especially since AP release their sack dresses so short), but you can be too tiny. >>8699374 is a good example of someone drowning in their dress because of their height.
>>
>>8699469
>>8699628
>>8699647
I read that as original post OP not one piece OP.

The OP in the OP is Elegy. The OP in >>8699373 is Glitter Tale. You can indeed message them to get this dress.

So OP.
>>
>>8699450
But OP asked how they LOOK on plus sized girls, so people told them.
>>
>>8699450
You won't feel cute because you'll look bad. Just dress for your shape
>>
>>8699450
>how does this look on a plus sized girl?
>can i pull it off?
you're not even addressing her concerns. she clearly wants to look good, not everyone is happy by looking a wreck and having people laugh behind they're backs.
>>
>>8699373
I'm plus size, tall, and still getting this OP
Screw y'all
>>
Innocent World also does a lot of these baggy OP's, I think a few were in luckypacks somewhat recently. I'm pretty boxy-shaped thin and short but while my arms are very small, my legs aren't as stick thin and I thought it was unflattering on me. I think the key to these is that your arms and legs have to be stick thin, too.

I think it's a BtssB dress? It comes with a bit of an underskirt if I recall.

There are tons of dresses in this style I've found, and you could put an underskirt under any of them.

here you go! BtssB's Marias Catholic Nun OP
I'm adding it to my dream dress list cause I can fit into it awww yea
>>
Is their a specific name for this kind of dress cause I can never find them
>>
>>8700398
Do you mean the nun dresses or the sack dresses?
>>
>>8700399
Sack dress. I've tried baggy OP and sack OP.
>>
>>8700421
hmm, free waist dresses?
idk... I've only ever learned about them from here and everyone here calls them sack dresses.
>>
I love sack dresses. They're so cute.
>>
>>8699662
How tiny would you say is too tiny? I got a HL OP, and I'm 4'11". Would it look awful on me?
>>
>>8700472
In normalfag fashion, they are called "No Waist Dress".
>>
>>8699355
This is reminding me that I always had a crush on Wedsday as a kid.

God damn, i would kill for a dryly sarcastic gothy woman
>>
>>8699404
I have this OP and it honestly looks terrible. Instead of flaring outward it actually flares inward and has far too much excess fabric.
>>
>>8701535
Could you post pics?
>>
>>8699359
I really don't think this counts; it's just high-waisted.

>>8699367
this has a waist too.
>>
I think you have to have pretty skinny limbs as well, not just be short and flat - I look pregnant in sack dresses like these, because the bits of me that are visible are still pretty chunky (cyclist calves and thighs) rather than slender
>>
>>8701175
Ideally sack dresses should hit above the knee, like so >>8700594, otherwise you risk looking like a traffic cone like >>8699374.
>>
>>8700398
babydoll. there's some fit-and-flare mixed in with the term but i've always bought them under that.
>>
>>8701535
Seconding request for pics. I was interested in this dress since she had a promo code over Halloween weekend but the lack of worn pics made me suspicious.
>>
>>8699450
>I'm not looking to look flattering, just comfortable and feel cute.
You probably won't be too comfy. I once bought a cute shapleless dress from Taobao, the sleeves were digging in, the shoulders were a little tight, and it was riding up in the front so it looked awkward as hell. 0/10 would not recommend.
>>
>>8699450
If you want comfy and cute, fluffy, slightly oversized long hoodies and leggings in pastels are the way to go, and more flattering
>>
>>8701311
>>8700472
>>8700472
>>8700421
I usually see them called swing dresses
>>
>>8701777
Yes to this. I think dresses like this are so cute, but i have boobs and chunky-ish legs despite having a small waist, so they are the most unflattering thing ever on me
