As someone with multiple chronic illnesses, often my symptoms can flare up randomly/without warning and severely. I'm not always 100% sure I can make a meet until the day of, but 1, knowing the nature of your flare ups and recognizing patterns when they occur is your responsibility for your own health and scheduling purposes. 2. Sometimes illnesses are unpredictable, and that sucks bc you can end up missing out on a lot, but that doesn't mean you can get all pissy at others for not accommodating a problem that isn't theirs to deal with??? I'm at a significant distance from my comms meetup scene, but even so if I can push through the pain at all I do because the physical cost (pain etc) is usually worth bearing for a fun time with friends. Sometimes it's just not possible and I have to cancel last minute, but in the case of paid events you have to suck it up and eat the cost. Yeah it stinks paying for an event you can no longer attend but the event /deposits/etc still have to be paid for. Accommodations for disabilities don't include hosts pity paying for you because you can no longer attend.
Also really sick of seeing the "crippling anxiety" as an excuse for being 'unable' to come to events/expecting pity for it. (inb4 you don't know how severe anxiety is !!1! : yes, I've lived it and any decent psych professional will tell you that to overcome anxiety you have to put yourself in social situations. If you aren't ready for big crowded events, don't sign up for them. )

No, actually, you're not really supposed to wash your hair with hot water and shampoo regularly. The practice only started when shampoo companies started advertising.
Frequently washing your hair with shampoo severely dries it out, and causes your body to produce way too much oil to try and counteract the dryness. This leads to a vicious cycle where you have to wash every day or else it gets ridiculously oily.
Try it for a week, only use shampoo every other shower, using just water on the off days. You'll initially have oily hair, but then your body will adjust and it'll take longer for your hair to get oily.
The same thing is true for washing vagOOO, or so I've heard, not having one.
If you wash the inside with soap, you fuck up the pH balance and self cleaning nature, and then have to wash every day or it gets rank.

Yep yep. Used to wash my hair every day and eventually started doing every other day, and now every other or every two days depending on humidity and weather and stuff.
Since changing my washing schedule tho, my hair's health is infinitely better than it used to be and it doesn't get oily nearly as quickly.
