taking photos of people while they are not looking and not having asked them for the photos, to taking photos of random people walking past while we were at a meet.
Now i have done my homework on this "photographer" and before posting this i went through the pictures uploaded from when he was taking the sneaky photos of people with their backs turned to him and not one of those photos were uploaded.
The first problem here is not asking for some ones permission to take their photo. the second problem being why are you taking pictures of peoples back sides And to deny these claims when asked about it nicely ?

There's nothing wrong with that. Alot of photographers do this. I've found plenty of photos of myself at cons taken without me knowing and they capture me in the moment at a convention. There is nothing wrong with taking photos at a public event like this.
In Australia, generally speaking, there is no law restricting photography of people (including children) in public spaces as long as the images are not:
• indecent (such as photographs taken covertly in change rooms or toilets)
• being used for voyeurism or made for the purpose of observing and visually recording a person's genital or anal region
• being for commercial purposes
Cameron isn't doing any of these things so stop overreacting.
Yes he is a tad socially awkward but in no way is he stalking Cosplayers (like a certain Volk photography does), and he is usually quite polite.
As others have said he is pretty shy when it comes to new people and that's often why he does in the moment shots from afar at cons.

One time, I think I met Volk (I think it was at Gold Coast Supanova?).
He just stood there. Looking at me. His eyes set in stone as he gazed upon my young body.
I was 15 at the time and it was my first time cosplaying. I was petrified, his unblinking stare making me feel very uncomfortable, It was at this time that he approached me for photos, I begrugingly accepted (Not knowing who he was at the time).
He snapped away and gave me very little direction, he eventually just sighed and walked away without even so much as a thank you.
Later on I was with some friends and having lunch and I spotted him again, shooting with a long lens. He had the creepiest smile on his face the entire time. That image is burnt in to my mind.
So yeah. Volk is creepy.

I even said I didn't really want to do overly sexy poses, but he kept asking for them. Instead of offering direction or constructive feedback he just kept sighing and saying they werent good shots, then walked off without a thank you or anything too.
Might I add I shot the same character with the same poses with another photog later that day, and the photos turned out great....pretty sure the bad shots are 90% of the time because his lack of photography skillsor the fact he makes the cosplayer feel like shit and that shows in the photos

If the photographer only wants sexy and doesn't ask what you want then move on, it's your cosplay, shoot it how you want or not at all.
If the photographer can't pose you then move on, there are plenty of photographers around, hover while they are working with others and see how they work, then ask if you could get some shots if you decide they are ok to shoot with.
