Post 'em if you have them. This was my first Cosplay for G-Fest XXI, and I find more shit wrong with it.

God dammit...
Lord forgive me.
Baby's first con and baby's first cosplay. Made with costume satin. Complete with braces with green rubber bands on them, and black tights stretched over flip flops cuz apparently boots weren't a better idea.
I don't think we actually ever figured out where my friend's costume was from. We just ordered it because she looked like the character we saw in the photos on eBay.
baby first con and cosplay
Hey gulls, kind of like a progress thread, but let's see your earliest coord you have a photo of in comparison to your latest/greatest.
An early coord with my first brand dress vs a recent one. Neither is perfect but I like to think I've come-a-ways since then.
Also my first self post, please be gentle.....
>>8832189
First coord 2-3 years ago. Very Ita bodyline... now AP everything but still a WIP.
Also first self post. Be gentle to a lurking gull.
Old Thread: >>8799642
>Any of you guys working on any cosplays?
>See any good ones at cons recently?
I'll do a tag dump shortly to give the thread some life.

i admire the work it took to make all those curls, but they just look so stiff and un-hairlike. her dress and sword look incredible though, and im not bashing her cosplay. i think doing barrel curls with a large curling iron might give some good results- but it could just be my personal preference, since thats the route im planning on taking with my rose wig.
starting dump
Deadpool is opening this week and will likely break a few box office records. Fans and casual movie goers who never knew about him are also loving the movie.
Are you ready for the influx of Deadpools at cons that will follow the movie's release?
Prepare for that and closet cosplay Deadpool

Spoiler
even though it was just a shitty joke costume for 30 seconds
>>8862103
>Are you ready for the influx of Deadpools at cons that will follow the movie's release?
honestly, i dont think its going to be any different than how it is now. ive been good at ignoring that shit so its not going to affect me.
Can we have a religious inspo thread.
>>8861398
any particular religion or just in general?
>>8861413
i prefer dresses and prints with like art on it but any thing is fine
Now that it's only a month away and there aren't any more major updates (I think?), let's have a Kami-Con thread!
First of all, who's going?
Which guests are you excited to see?
Which musical acts are you stoked for?
What, if anything, do you hope will be improved upon from last year?
What kind of anime shit will you be looking for in the Dealers Room/Artist Alley?
How inundated is the con going to be with Undertale and Steven Universe cosplay?
Disclaimer: I am not staff, so please don't ask me questions...

I've noticed that there seem to be less and less SE seagulls in the past few years. even AWA and momo threads barely get attention now.
I'm interested in God Save The Queen
>>8860025
Yeah, I've noticed too, and I've been wondering about it. I mean, it's not like they don't use the Internet.
I'm not a cosplayer myself, but I might hit up God Save The Queen if I'm not doing anything else at the time.
I'll be there. Mostly likely as Classic Princess Daisy ans Princess Agitha and enter her in the contest if I get her done in time.
I'm really excited to attend a God Save The Queen panel.
How would i go about cosplay this?
Sans the guns because ill just buy any old airsoft toy for cheap.
Its an XOF soldier from MGS V
Check out some surplus stores for boots and some fatigues. Airsoft websites for things like the chest rig and holster and maybe even the grenades. No clue about the helmet though.
discuss all things related to garment construction including patterns, draping, and construction details (darts, specific seams, etc.)

Drapping info
>>8855266
I don't know exactly how relevant it is, but how do people feel about costumes where it's mostly altered existing garments? I'm really not confident in sewing anything more difficult than a straight line, so a lot of my cosplays end up being modified basic pieces. I think the hardest thing I've sewn together was a long trenchcoat, and I had help on that. I know a lot of basics, but it shows I know just that.

Hey /cgl/
Me and my girlfriend are split on whether to go to Comic Con Tampa (August) or Dragoncon (September) this year. We're only going to one.
We've both been to Dragoncon twice, and thoroughly enjoyed it. I know Comic Con San Diego is the shit, but I never hear anything about Tampa. I've compared the two websites and CC hardly has anything posted as far as celebrity guest list and events. That kind of concerns me. DC has more info posted despite being a month further away.

It's only a couple hours longer to drive to ATL than Tampa from Jax. Go to Dragon*con.
>>8848288
Any experience with Comic con Tampa?
TBCC was a train wreck. It was so unorganized and the staff were clueless. I don't care who they get as a guest I won't be giving them my money again. DragonCon might be crowded but at least there are plenty of other entertaining things to do. TBCC was bland, the only attraction they have is their guest list.
New bread cause autosage and tipsy.
Meetup was pretty neat. Many faces come and go. Grace's Mandarin is expensive but good. Didn't have to wait for a table at 7pm. Planning to go again tomorrow.
Seeing a fuck ton of lolitas. So sad I didn't bring my dresses with me.
However, there was this one girl who was wearing a basic sack dress with a petticoat, like dude, no. Wtf?
Today was alright. Cgl meetup was pretty good, beat my expectations. Managed to walk into room parties and made a friend or two in the process.

It has been some time...
Can we have a sewing room inspo thread? I didn't want to shit up the bedroom one.
I'm finally unpacking from my move and I want ideas!!
You know. I can't really keep my paints and stuff in my sewing room. But you know what I've found is pretty good for organizing my paints and such?
A rolling tool chest. Especially when you get one with lots of drawers. I have one drawer for craft paint, one holds my fabric paint, one my tape, one for larger paint brushes, etc...
The one I own was my dad's old tool chest. It has a cabinet part at the bottom, so I keep stuff like my drill in there.
It may not be the prettiest thing, but it does keep my stuff organized. I've seen Costco...

I guess Costco doesn't sell it anymore but it looks like this and you can find it on Amazon and other sites.
You can also Google stuff like "wooden tool chest" and see some options.
>>8844598
Huh, that's pretty clever. I dont have nearly that much to keep track of paint-wise, but I use pic related instead. Holds all my paints, brushes, glues, palletes, and safety gear (goggles, masks, etc for sanding and woodwork) like a charm, and nicely labeled/accessible too!
Post all your questions, concerns, tutorials, reviews and anything else having to do with taking care of those dead cells!
So I've been wondering: 'What can I do to help my hair?' I've moved my skin regimen to an eight step process, but I'm falling short in the hair care department.
I've started using OGX shampoos and have a Moroccan argan oil I apply to the lower three inches several times a week. Any recommended masks or anything to step up my game is appreciated.
Okay apparently its gone
New one
I know nothing of this game at all and I'm pretty sure this isn't right
