So now that the Brexit is crashing the pound exchange rate what are some good British indie/brand/offbrand stores that take payment in pounds?
Will Brands and stores like Taobao and Bodyline even accept orders from UK Customers now?

Anyone else getting janky gbp conversions when they try to pay with paypal? Seems to me that they're using old conversions and not the recent ones ie. what value it's gone down to last night and today.

With less than a month away, I guess it's time for a ConnectiCon thread.
This is my first time going... what can I expect?
Is anyone else going? And if anyone has a room they plan on cancelling at the Marriott, I would happily take it off your hands, as I plan on wearing some heavy shit and the closer I am to my room from the convention center the better.
I'll be going, though unfortunately not in cosplay this year due to some complications.
Does anyone know of a cheaper alternative mode of transportation to get into Hartford than just driving?
Last year I think I spent something like $40 to park for the weekend, and that's annoying.
I would take a bus, but I typically leave the convention around midnight, give-or-take an hour, and I don't think the buses run that late.

The food situation is weird, there's not many restaurants within reasonable walking distance, and everyone knows buying food at the con itself is waste of money.
Personally I'm going to be salty as fuck if those food truck don't show up at the nearby park. I ain't buying food at the con, and the only place nearby is subway.
Does anyone know if there's going to be a lolita panel or at least a meet up or something?

Depends on your local post service, I have had things find their way to me without the house number but had everything else. But I have lived in the same place for years so the postman knows me, or if they asked someone along the road most people would probably be able to tell them my house number. I would ring your local post office and tell them what happened and ask what can be done, they might be able to keep an eye out for it or something

Has anyone ever done Hotline Miami, and can anyone offer some good tips if my cosplay is bad?

I know, That is what i did in my previous cosplays. I had a friend with me doing duo cosplay so i carried the Bat in her interests, plus it's from Hm1, so it's intended as that Mask, (which allowed him weapons)
I was going to look into getting some acrylic paint or food dye to add to the costume.
Hm2 tony, which i am doing at one point, i intend on no weapons regardless of what others say.

Fucking wat.
AX was shit. The staff was retarded, it was overcrowded, the AA was hell, and I honestly didn't feel like throwing more money for all the extra stuff. I didn't get many pics of cosplayers because it was too crowded. I honestly only went to 4 panels and the only one worth it was the trigger panel. Probably will avoid AX next year.
For those in Artist Alley did you rake in the cash or were you fucked by the tiny crowded walkways?

I want to make a cosplay of something that requires some sort of electrical/mechanical design. All I can think of is making an android/gundam type costume, or do some steampunk fedora shit.
So what are some costumes I could make that would incorporate some mechanical/electrical design? LEDs, Motors, etc.
Pic related would be a little above in beyond, but you get the idea.

Another idea for incorporating LEDs would be pic related. So basically any character that would have parts that "glow" in their respective medium.
Lots of fantasy/sci-fi stuff. Characters from WoW, Diablo, League. Halo. Mass Effect. They usually have something glowing, like eyes or gems or wings or weapons, though you said you didn't want that. Robot characters lend themselves to lights and sounds as well.

Artist alley is really over stimulating. There's so much to look at at once it's exhausting.
What the hell just happened in little Tokyo? They rushed us in to a store, said there were tons of cops with rifles and search helicopters, then said it was all a fluke but 20 minutes still tons of cops and air search?

....what is that for? I've never heard of a con safe space.
