>>9021285 I assumed Ruka was FAB but identified as non-binary? I thought I saw a post where they mentioned they were too underweight for proper endocrine function, hence the hormones. I could be wrong, however
Hey gulls, who here's coming to the lolita swapmeet tomorrow at Anime Expo at 3 in front of the Exhibit Hall? Make sure to bring your Brand, I Bodyline and Taobao is okay too I guess but this is mostly going to be a burando acquiring event.
Are there any nice dresses with a houndstooth pattern? I know there is a recent AP print with a hideous color combination and border print (whip collection?) and an older one with milky-chan. But I'm looking for something in black or red.
A thread to compare coords that use the same main piece, or even twin/triplet/etc. coords.
Post a single picture that has more than one person in the same main piece--same cut preferably, different colorway is all right--and discuss who coorded it and wore it better. A collage is fine, but please don't be lazy and post images you want to compare across multiple posts. We are all adults who can handle combining different images into one picture , not only to prevent premature image cap but to streamline discussion.
Starting with a dump of lolitas whose photos... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
Let's turn this blah thread into something interesting. I'll list some different male jfashion styles and we can discuss them, give tips, etc.
Gyaruo >male version of gyaru >not as many distinct styles as regular gyaru >different styles include biker/rock, military, yanki and then the generic gyaru style to match their agejyo girlfriends. >some guys wear male kogal style too but its rare >guys used to wear... Assuming you're not trolling I'll tell you what you need to know since you're retarded. You're going to an anime convention in which fans of Japanese animation go to meet up, talk about anime with like-minded individuals and meet famous people such as representatives from anime studios, directors, voice actors, popular community members and so on.
Simply ask your "family member" what they want to do and go to where it says at the time on the schedule. There's tons of fun panels (sit down and listen to people talk about a topic), activies... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
>>9077456 >>9077478 There will be people in costume. There will be long lines. There will be shows you've never heard of and long lines related to those shows. There will be lots of stuff to buy, and things to look at, but don't try to pack a schedule full of stuff. Look around, find stuff you like, and then plan from there. There are also going to be TONS of people.
I'd like to see a picture of someone wearing Alice And The Pirates's "Sheherazade ~One Thousand And One Nights~" JSK, preferably in the black/gold colorway! Unfortunately, the coords I've seen with it on COF doesn't do the print any justice.
Samuraicon. Finally an alternative to Ohayocon, right in their back yard, same weekend. Competition always brings forth the best effort on both sides. I for one stopped attending Ohayocon a few years ago, and am excited to have some type of alternative.
It could flop, but Ohayocon will have to try to put forth their best effort this year in case it doesn't. And Samuraicon will have to come out with a lot of great things to pull people over to their side who are currently on the fence with Ohayocon.
According to the even group parking is free, tickets are significantly cheaper, and the hotel looks like it'll be cheaper. I think I'll check it out at the very least. Haven't gone to Ohayocon in 3+ years now.
I've been going to Ohayocon for at least 10 years if not more. It's a shit show, and I only go to hang out with friends or go in the dealers room and artist alley. I haven't attended any worthwhile programming there in eons. I'll wait to see what this con has to offer, but I'll probably give this one a shot.
