Having watched this thing from conception I'm surprised that thing is still limping along. Probably thanks to the staff members that arent Mike or his gang of fools, and to those that keep that thing alive color me actually impressed.
Dashcons problem was honestly that they aimed to high to fast. Having read a lot of the logs from people involved along the way (and most of whom stepped out when they realized where shit was heading) they didnt know enough about how to run a con, and decided to aim for a big con... >>8916660 I bought mailed badges on black friday. Still haven't received them. Con starts next friday.
I'm not going to be able to go this year anyway due to a work conflict. Although I'm guessing that I might have actually dodged a bullet by not going. I was almost dreading it due to the lack of info and they are still in the Sheraton which was crowded af last year not to mention the 1 hr lines to get into the big events. Luckily I've already got plans for a couple of other cons and made sure there... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
>>8916796 I paid for mine the day after the con ended last year when they were super cheap. Still haven't gotten mine in the mail. Someone claims they saw the guy who's over them basically say he'd get to them after his spring break was over.
>>8917179 That doesn't surprise me one bit. The MTAC team has just seemed lazy this year from guest announcements to the badges. I won't be ordering tickets early next year. I'm going to wait to find out if it will be this big of a clusterfuck next year.
>>8871341 (just fyi thats the outdated version of the list in the op. not a big issue i guess since its mostly the same)

>All J-fash styles (lolita, mori, otome, gyaru, deco, etc.) are welcome! >Cosplay is discouraged, because then it's basically fanart of your character. >Please provide your best photos. >Artists: it's not a bad idea to just sign your work >Selfposters: When giving credit, it's a good idea to refer to the art as a freebie or commission, NOT fanart. >Helpful critique is acceptable, insults and taunts are not. >You should actually be wearing your coord, not "Draw me in X!" >Have fun!
Do you think the AP designers know that their designs are failing? Almost all of the new print series still have main pieces in stock, and I don't know about Japan but it seems like a lot of us are disappointed with the quality of the recent dresses
>>8903566 Seems like custom printed larger sized stockings aren't popular enough for print shops to offer them. The only way getting those done would be hiring a factory and this isn't an option unless you can sell thousands.
>been chubby for a while >run a cosplay page for myself so i'm used to dumbass comments >negative comments on my weight never really bothered me >want to cosplay a bunch of characters that show midriff so decide to lose weight- hoping for a flat tummy by summer >losing weight now by eating smaller portions and working out more
>now comments on my weight just piss me the hell off

Everyone always posts this as the example, which is just about the only one I know of that can even pass. With the rest, it's pretty obvious and I have not noticed any new others 'of higher quality' examples, please?
>>8938021 This one you can tell on sight because of the lace, the quality of the bodice ribbon, the skirt gathers and the difference in fullness of the waist bow. If you examine them side by side instead of just seeing one or the other worn, the zippers and lining differ slightly also.
So I am planning a Nana Komatsu cosplay with a friend who is going to be Nana Osaki. Hachi wears lots of different outfits throughout the series, tending to gear towards modern 50s inspired clothing. She has a lot of very detailed clothes with lots of patterns and then some very simple clothes. Im going for simple. I was curious about what this layout looks like so far. She's known for not matching pinks in the series, so not all my pinks match for that purpose. Im kind of sticking to pink, white, and gold with pearl and gold accents for jewelry. I didn't add in bracelets... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
