That's kind of the gist of it. I think Gamzatti was contact mics placed in ballet dancers' shoes and processed through loads of guitar pedals.
Although to me, noise has always been about the interplay between the different elements of a release, like the artwork, track titles, lyrics, and live performance, and not just the music alone. It's all about re-contextualising stuff, and shedding (usually darker) different lights on things through this interplay. There is a huge essay included in Gamzatti about ballet being perverse and voyeuristic. Pretty cool and interesting.

When she first shows up she's injured and can't even move without feeling intense pain yet she still would have fought in those conditions.
Despite the fact that she too had zero piloting experience seeing as she got those injuries when she first attempted to sync with an eva.
Despite knowing what kind of pain she would endure if she failed by throwing injuries on top of injuries.
She would have done it because she felt it was her duty.
The first few episodes of eva are interesting in how they show Shinji dealing with becoming a pilot, but Rei is simultaneously on that exact same boat yet she she handles it vastly different.

I think the only time you ever saw her with heavy medication in the show is in ep 05 when she was coming off from her injuries at the beginning of the show, and since you also see the bloodied bandages around the picture gets muddied because it could have been just pain medication and stuff she just never got rid of. in Rebuild it's made clearer since you see her taking medication even when she is seemingly perfectly healthy. So that's the implication, but even then it's not clear what the purpose is: is it to keep her from falling apart health-wise? 1.0 and 2.0 are good movies viewed in succession. Sadly, two movies alone won't cover Rei much less Evangelion.
They could have gotten somewhere if 3.33 wasn't such a anti-Rei, pro-Asuka/Kaworu pandering movie. By focusing on the characters and the story instead of pandering, you'd get something similar to the series in terms of quality for some characters, though not all.

Of course, it's not truly "pro-asuka" in the sense that it actually respects the original character. But it's pro-asuka in the sense that it glorifies the character. Glorifying a character in this manner does involve lying about it, and disrespecting it in that way. The same goes for Kaworu, only he's more front-and-center. The expansion for Asuka is a ridiculously upgraded character-set, in a shallow manner like the rest of the movie.

Sure, it's one of my favorite moments, Rei playing along with Asuka's ego stroking despite knowing she's a terrible leader until stuff actually mattered and then took the lead without hesitation, and kind of foreshadows how easily she would take power away from Gendo despite him feeling in charge too.
But moments like that happen kind of on the periphery of what's happening and it's mostly Asuka front and center during those episodes. Which maybe is kind of the point, Rei's fine not getting the spotlight, she can outshine anyone even from the background, it's kinda her style.

She's in most episodes but most of the appearances I listed are borderline cameos.
In retrospect, 2.22 might have handled it poorly but getting to see how her crush towards Shinji developed beyond the Ramiel fight could have been a good way of integrating her more into what was going on during that stretch of the story rather than just have her hang around, building her meme reputation as emotionless.
Instead we get to wait until pic related, to get a sense of what else is going on with her. Don't get me wrong I'm in no way defending Rebuild or putting down NGE which to me is near perfect but as a Reifag, if it was up to me I would have done a little bit more with Rei during those episodes, not too much, I get Asuka needed to have her focus to make up for her absence at the start and that even expanding on some of the other characters is what gave Eva a scope and texture Rebuild lacks.
But just a little bit more Rei could have been great.

I found all of your examples where Rei is in it to be meaningful and without them, the preceding episodes where the development becomes more intense wouldn't make sense or would become less grounded.
Because NGE had a good and considerate mix of characters. It wouldn't make sense if Rei had high focus all the time, just like it doesn't make sense to have kaworu, asuka or other later-introduced characters there from the start.
NGE is so good that it hardly needs changing, so when you make a remake like the Rebuild series, you need to change something up otherwise it's just a rehash.
I think they were very conscious of that since the beginning, as after all, they are directors and otaku, who no doubt spend their time whining about rehashes of other franchises. So even 1.11 has drastic changes to the story and setting, despite being nearly identical otherwise.
So while Rebuild seems to have gone off the deep end, I don't think either 1.11 or 2.22 handled things poorly. There are differences, but not differences that can't be used to develop a strong story, plot or set of characters. 3.33 is simply irredeemable in this regard. So you need neither more or less Rei (or x character), you need the to be developed in a fairly distributed manner.
Because a four-movie series that is all about Rei but excludes other characters would only hurt the integrity of Rei's development and character, in the same way that a movie series which attacks Rei and spends no time on anything else but that (3.33) is also just baseless masturbation from Anno.
