This girl wants me to join her marketing team or some shit and sell Herbalife products? Or something like that?
Network marketing they said. What is it exactly? Am I being duped. I have to buy some shit first ?
>>1014079
Oh god don't you'll fuck yourself
>>1014094
I told her to fuck off. Recently another guy hit me up on Facebook trying to recruit me to his shit.
I just want to know how this works I'm not dumb enough to just join blindly. Do they ONLY make income by recruiting people?
>>1014079
Is she a qt?
Requesting advice from older anons (I'm 22) well-versed in economics, international politics, business, etc.
I'm going back to school while working full time. Is it a better idea for me to get a degree in law or mechanical engineering? I don't love or hate either of them. I just want to get a qualification in something that's gonna put me in a more secure position and enhance my options in general.
I'm 22 myself but law is worse than women's studies for job opportunities. You are fucked unless you go to a super top law school.
>>1014073
The uni I would be applying to would be the top one in my country, but regardless I think that is a good point. I'm hearing a lot about functions of lawyers being replaced by software too.
>>1014066
Why those 2 options?
You have $0. Your aim is to obtain $1,000,000 in four years. The only rule is that you obtain $1,000,000. No conscience is required. Can beat this game? What's your plan?
>>1013870
No I can't beat this game and I don't think anyone plans on giving random people good ideas.
This board and website is full of NEETs, do you honestly think anyone knows how to make $1 million in 4 years with 0 capital and that they'd be on 4chan right now? They would be earning that million or enjoying their millions right now.
>>1013870
drugs, then transition into real estate.
>>1013879
Drugs requires an extensive business network.
Not easy to do in the slightest and I doubt anyone asking/posting on 4chan and with 0 capital would have such a thing.
Hey biz just passing through. Having a baby in January. I remember some financial guy saying put $2k per year towards college fund. Is that accurate? And what kind of account should it go into? Just a regular savings or what?
I can easily put aside $200 per month but I have a feeling it's more involved than just sticking it in savings. Educate me lads
>>1013866
If you're in the US. Make sure to get some bonds, enough that the interest amounts to $2K per year. Then make sure to file taxes for your kid every year. It'll save you a fair amount in taxes and he can use that money to pay for college. Kids under a certain age don't pay tax on the first $1K of income and only 10% on the next $1K.
>>1013930
So basically a one time purchase of bonds that earns 2k interest? What would that be roughly? My savings is pretty small at the moment
Do I go through a broker to buy them or what? And can I cash them out at anytime?
>>1013975
No you hold them until maturity because it's the interest you want. They'll be in the kids name but if they're earmarked for school when you cash them it provides further tax benis. Talk to your broker about specific options available to you.
What's your advice on student loans, biz? I'm out of cash, and have 4 semesters left of my undergraduate. I'm gonna go ahead and finish it up, what should I expect thereafter. I ultimately want to pursue higher education after said degree, and I am assuming that will continue to drive my debt up.
Any and all advice will help.
They're good if you major isn't Woman's Studies
>>1013790
Dammit. My major is philosophy. I really wanna go into law.
>>1013791
You're fucked
What are the economics of modern slavery? I want a slave but not sure how to do it legally.
Move to Qatar
>>1013778
Do you mean you want cheap/free Labour, or is this a kink thing?
>>1013825
No, nothing sexual. I want the labor.
Hello /biz/nessmen I'm tight on money and need some cash inmediately. I am here today to sell information. Here's what I have:
>A product you can buy on Alibaba for $25 and sell on Amazon for $120
>It has almost no competition (only two similar competitiors that I undercut anyway. They sell there's for ~$200)
> I am an Amazon seller and can provide proof of previous sales.
I need $200 by Monday. I don't have time to wait for payment by Amazon...

Suck 200 dicks for a dollar each.
I'll bite. What's the product and are you trying to sell 8 of them ($25 x 8 = $200 you need)?
>>1013732
Yeah
Why would I trust the business plan of a man who can't budget properly to avoid stuff like this?
What do you do with a BA in English?
>>1013685
AHAHAHAHAAAAAAHAAAAAAA
What is your life going to be
>>1013685
You can become a teacher.

>his job is to write about finance
>>1013681

What's /biz/ opinion on credit cards? I'm 19 and know absolutely nothing about this stuff. From what I hear it's a smart idea to build credit because it helps a lot in the future. There is something around 400$ that I want, I could easily wait and save up for it every paycheck but then it came to me that I could use this to start building credit. Is this a bad idea? My dad pleads to me that credit is a bad thing and still won't need it later on in life but figure I could use some second opinions.
It's a good idea for smart people
Bad idea for fucking idiots
Save up for it and buy it in cash. You don't want to be building the habit and buying things with credit. Form good savings habits and you will be grateful.
>>1013643
Well yeah, save up for it and THEN buy it with credit. You shouldn't buy things you can't afford.
Hey /biz/
I'm a logistics officer in the Air Force, just starting out. Looking to complete my MBA in the couple of years. Do you think career prospects are higher for me if I do my 20 years, get the traditional pension and get out, or look to resign my commission, take my MBA and moderate experience to the private sector?
Thanks!
>I'm a logistics officer in the Air Force
So you're a glorified janitor.
>>1013612
Bro I thought about going to the Air Force. You know how much retirement pays after 20 years? 20-30k. That's starting salary for college graduates. You've been successfully lured RuneScape style by the government. Good fight.
In 20 years of military youll be worthless to the private sector. You brain wont even work right becuase youll think money should just come to you just because. Grind out 20 and enjoy being a welfare queen the rest of your life and get a second job babysitting idiots like you currently do
What's your source of income?
Wage slave.
Energy and farms.
Primary:
Accounting Wage-Slave
Secondary:
CD Interest Payments
Stock Dividend Payments
Sports Gambling
What are some charities recommended by /biz/? I've been consistent with American Cancer Society, but I'd like to explore others also to add. Pic irrelevant.

Care.com?
So I just heard about AirBnB, holy fuck!
These Uber like companies really created something out of nothing, are there are more creative ideas like that left?
You're a little... late mate.
And it wasn't so easy, go check what they had to go through.
But sure there are still niches in service software out there.
How does someone so uninformed even find out about this board in the first place?
Im making $1200 a month from my spare room now. It's been a miracle for me. I should make $4,000 in 2 weeks during SxSW
Forget about culturally and politically, leave that to pol.
What will be the ramifications of importing hundreds of thousands of unskilled migrants who do not speak the local language?
Will this cheap labour be good for the economy?
Or will the expenses associated with housing them, teaching them, feeding them, and having to wait years until they are eligible to work be damaging for EU economies?
>>1013426
i live in berlin. there is a HUGE industry here based around exploiting people who live on welfare. they are neither client nor vendor, they are simply the 'ressource' being moved around in a business transaction. it's highly unethical and part of what makes it work is the bureocratic nightmare that is germany, even for unskilled german citizens. for immigrants with little english and no german skills, it's an absolute nightmare. they are completely powerless.
basically private companies...

I find it funny how there are still absolutely no scientific studies on the immigration crisis.
Nobody knows the structure of immigration wave, how many of those immigrants know english, percentage of nationalities, how many money they have and stuff like that.
Basically its one big unknown, but politics and people act like immigrants are one homogenous mass and spout bullshit theories about them.
Its all speculation and no facts when it comes to debates about the immigration crisis.
>>1013437
we don't have complete data but it seems safe to say the syrians (making up a large majority of refugees at the moment) are not well-educated and likely have poor english/german skills, given lack of schooling and low hdi of syria
