Hey /biz, what are your thoughts on investing in renewables? It's pretty much guaranteed that we're headed that way, but where do you think the most profit is going to be? Hydro, wind, or solar?

But looking at places like Sweden and Canada, the majority of their renewable energy comes from hydro. Is this because large-scale solar/wind projects haven't been very economical, but new investments can get them out of the lab?
Both wind and solar are only profitable with subsidies. They are limited by not providing power 24/7 and not being able to easily scale the power output to consumption. Hydro and geothermal are only possible in certain areas of the world. If you want to invest in renewables invest in batteries.

My uncle owns a car repair shop and gas station, the gas station portion has a small mart that sells drinks, sunglasses, cigarettes, phone chargers, and junk food.
The current selection of all those items is pretty bad, for instance there is no Arizona iced tea, no sour candy, no American Spirit cigarettes, etc.
I currently work at this place on sundays for extra money, I was thinking of stocking these items myself and selling them here; I'll give my uncle a cut since it is his place.

As someone who develops related software, Ethereum is mostly useless. It's fueled by bitcoin hype from people who latch onto buzzwords and don't know what they're talking about.
