Seriously, what is going to be done about Chipotle (CMG)? I used to eat there all the time and it was darn tasty and had amazing portions.
Now its on a death spiral to bankruptcy.
Other companies have had food scares but they return but this time it appears criminal?
This thread is asking from a financial and real world opinion, because I want to eat there again and maybe invest there because it could rise like 50% if it goes back to its old price.
What's the deal with Chipotle?
>>1037147
one of the core inventions of humanity was the insight to cook food.
the first men died from eating raw stuff.
the first men who cooked their lunch survived.
now Chipotle sells raw food.
and people are surprised that their customers die like flies.
The average consumer is so clueless that I'm pretty perplexed that this has had such an impact on their shares. They're beloved by virtually everyone.
>>1037147
Chipotle had a fuckup only reserved for companies that have either:
a. Existed for 50 or more years
b. Become too big to fail.
Food for hipster coastfags that want to feel cultured and spout "muh flyover" on /ck/ isn't an old or useful market, so Chipotle can't rely on its value in the niche to save it. That, and any benefit of the doubt they would have had after the food poisoning issue was resolved was thoroughly destroyed with the criminal case.
OIL WILL NEVER GO UP!!!!!!!
Petroleum is going the way of the whale oil. Millennials don't buy as much cars, don't drive as much and are inclined to purchase small cars. The world is heading towards more efficiency.
Iran will start to export oil, Saudi Arabia will get buttmad and try to depress prices further.
If the world were to fall into recession or depression, demand for oil will drop even more. The world isn't predicted to enter any economic boom soon, so demand for oil will not increase.
Don't invest in Royal Dutch Shell, these...

>millennials don't buy as much cars
Because they can't afford to anon people will still buy cars because they want to get laid, what are you going to do, take the bus to the bar and then tell the skank you pick up 'hold on we need to get the subway back to my place'
>>1037088
uh.... yes.
>>1037088
>'hold on we need to get the subway back to my place'
I can tell you from experience that this isn't a problem, kek.
Hey /biz/, assuming the math wasn't shit, what would giving the entire population of the U.S say.... 1 million dollars, actually do to the economy?
>>1037069
Every minimum wage worker would quit their jobs immediately, and a whole lot of bushiness would go bankrupt.
Then they'd piss away the 4 million in 2 years, be penniless, and try to get back their old job at burger king- but burger king is long gone.
So now we have 50%+ unemployment,
>>1037072
this
>>1037072
So it would be bad for economy right?
Why don't 175,000,000 people (around half the us population) start a lotto pool, where each of them plays a unique combination of numbers, then split the winnings? Each person would get 7.42 million this way.
>>1037016
Greed.
>>1037016
You guys have a 1,298.5 trillion dollar lotto pool?
Because you will get executed by the government or sent to prison.
Just got sentenced to a year probation. Is there any hope of me getting a decent job or should I just give up and hop on autismbux? I'm in college and probably just gonna drop out 2bh, everything is so competitive these days. Having this on my record won't be too impressive when apying to internships.
Oh forgot to mention my charge was aggravated assault. I pled down to simple assault to avoid jail time.
Depends what you do. You couldn't get a job as a teacher or working with kids, but most other things are open. Tons of people have criminal records and you don't even realize it.
>>1037015
Yeah but I was planning on going into engineering which is already pretty saturated. I won't be able to get a competitive job with this on my record could I?
how much does it cost to maintain a gf?
tell me about the financial side of having a gf
how much does it cost you on a monthly basis? in total how much have you spent on your significant other?
>>1036862
Really depends on financial status of her family. Poor parents make the best daughters. Buy her some socks and underwear and maybe a trip to McDonalds once a month.
My girlfriend makes more money than me and takes care of herself. She's a University professor. I'm a Manager or a janitorial company. The only reason a girlfriend would be an added cost is if you are dating prostitutes or losers with no jobs.
I'd say 300 or 700 for mild stuff that builds up, like her not paying for groceries, utilities, rent, plus the ocasional gifts and events you're encouraged to take part in.
So tell us a little about yourself anon, why should Chan corp hire you?
>who i am
>how hungry i am
>what i can do for your company
>what would happen if you don't hire me
There's one more thing you need to know about me.
*chugs bottle of hot sauce*
I can handle the heat.
It's my world, and every mothafuckin thing in it; that's including your asshole too. Stupid ass house nigga.
Cope
It's sad how you still don't see the irony of comparing it to USD
>up 5440% percent in a year
>Down 50% the next
>Up 35%
Don't you see how terrible this is? USD is stable and can be used to buy everything.
>>1036781
How is that remotely ironic?
How are currency crosses usually described you mental midget?
Hello all,
Where are you investing in Sydney, NSW ??
Hi Mate,
Don't buy now, wait around end of 2016 or next year as most off the plans are that was contracted few years ago is due to complete in 2016 and 2017.
Prices will drop for sure. And with the current sharemarket volatility is going to get intresting....not a crash but I'm looking at 10 - 15 % drop.
At the moment if you look at Domain and Real Estate sites there are lots of properties for sale now as sellers trying to make profit before shit hits the fan!

Northern beaches
Australia is getting flooded with more Chinese that need to invest millions of dollars in to the local economy to get citizenship, a lot of them buy penthouses in northern beaches.
> investing in Sydney
How about not doing that? Horribly overpriced and will correct soon. If you want to live in Sydney you should be renting.

Also, some help with terminology would really be appreciated.
Don't learn how to trade. Learn how to invest. Yes there is a difference.

about tree-fiddy
I work in a software company as a technical consultant/jack of all trades. I have an odd dilemma - I have to fill out a timesheet every week where I account for 40 hours of work, but there is probably 4 hours of work a week, tops.
I've been dealing with this by allocating like 30 hours a week to my "client issue" and "general technical work" boxes for the one client that gives me any work at all, and putting the rest into various categories like meetings, professional development, training, etc. I've talked to managers several times now about...
