Start with swing trading, easier, profitable and requires little time. Ideal to make money while building experience.
Demo until you have a profitable quarter. Which is going to take around 2 years or more, until you figure out a decent trading system

The only profitable form of daytrading i'm aware of is scalping futures and fixed income. Almost impossible on FX because of the randomness of price over the lower timeframes, stick to swing trading in that case.

Ideally you may want to start with 1000 CHF or so, so you don't have the pressure of losing a lot of money. Oh and it will be hard. Don't take paid courses, just get a shitload of books and try to follow profitable traders on Stocktwits

Overall I would go with a certificate. I am currently doing my masters in Financial Engineering and Management and can tell you that if you do not like to work at a bank, don't go with the banking certificate. Corporate Finance or investments would be nice though. I would probably go for Investments, because that is where I want to go. What kind of job are you pursuing?

I was very interested in this as well but after I researched it I got a bit discouraged. Seems like most schools are just theory so a lot of programs don't give you any real skills. Those skills are needless to say, important.

The jobs i've seen posted (AUS) seem pretty open, like not requiring actual qual in the field but able to adjust to the field with experience in law being important.

Although I am a libertarian, hold money in gold, and listen to Schiff consistently, I am reluctant to say he's right. I don't see where the industry bubble is and I'm not convinced the so-called dollar bubble exists or is even relevant. Unless I see negative growth in GDP in the next six months, I'm not giving any credit to Schiff. Even if there is a recession, there's no guarantee it will be worse than 2008. I am 90% sure it will be though, but it's still too early to say for certain.

Assuming you mean quantitative financial analysis as in the stuff that HF traders do probably: C/C#/Java, Scala, Python/R

If you mean economic analysis, then I don't know what the fuck you mean.

Python (pandas, numpy, scipy), R (too many neat libraries to list, but ggplot2 is a must for visualizations)

If you wanna get into machine learning or AI-based analysis, C++ or Java is a good choice.
