I don't understand how businesses like this can fail.

http://memetoys.me/about/
With memes being so popular. I was thinking about making a smug pepe cologne and making a smug pepe shower curtain with a mr. feels wojack bathroom mat. Are either of these ideas any good? which is better? do meme projects fail bc people than know memes are disproportionately poor and have no disposable income.
Spurdo?

Do they take GBP?

Keep your WoW auction house faggotry out of /biz/
>>1045997
It's not WoW and I don't see how making 2000-2500 dollars on the side isn't something that belongs on /biz/.
>>1045991
>flooding the market, the price for which everyone else sells also goes up
why does the price rise when there is more supply, and why does it drop when you aren't around? sounds backwards.
any voice to text programs for free out there /biz/?
i want to auto write down youtube vids to study the content
I am a poor and need a boost.
I got about 100 bucks left that I want to invest in the stocks.
What you guys think will make money?
I use P500 client.
>>1045921
It's not worth your time to trade $100... it isn't worth anybodies time.
If it really is worth your time, then your time is worthless, which is a bad thing
>>1045921
I dunno practice and ivnest in some pennies.
If you're poor, I would suggest savings it for rent
ITT: bubbles
derivatives
>>1045890
This. Derivatives are going to be the end of the world. This insanity needs to stop.
What does /biz/ think of Patreon? Do you guys think this is a sustainable business model or is it doomed to collapse eventually?
>>1045883
I don't see how patreon itself would collapse. They don't give money to people, they collect people's money on a monthly basis and distributes them to vloggers.
>>1045896
You have to put out content basically for free to draw a following that is strong enough to ensure that you get people willing to pay for what you release, and big enough that people don't care that your basically keeping content behind a paywall. Then you have to either release that stuff hidden behind a paywall after a certain amount of time or release content for free that isn't shit every now and then.
Really, its something that only benefits people who have already put the effort in before...

How likely am I to make money creating 'creative' coffee mugs or stuff of that nature - phone cases, clothing, posters?
It honestly sounds fun but I wouldn't even want to try if it'll be at a loss.

Mass scale or just a hobby?
My wife makes soap and candles. Started out as just a side hobby but turned into a small business. She makes decent money off hipsters on etsy.
My father recently wanted me to help with a website called GoFundMe. He badly needs a new wheelchair, but I am not here to ask for money, as 4chan explicitly asks not to do. I am here more asking for advice on how to help spread my father's campaign. Thank you for any assistance you may provide, I am mainly looking for ways to help this campaign
>>1045425
Explain to me why would anyone help your father get a wheelchair?
It's very sad, I'm sure. But tons of shit happens to people every day, why would someone decide to help him who isn't in his immediate family or friends?
>>1045425
Tell reddit and theyll help

gofundme? How about go fuck yourself. Hahahahaaaa.
Ok that wasn't very funny, but I'm in a goofy mood.
Help, biz.
I'm afraid of choosing the wrong major, MIS or CIS.
I want to do db stuff, I'll get my oracle cert, etc. But I'm not 100% sure if that's what I'll enjoy doing 10 years from now.
Which major leads to more opportunities and/or is more desirable in grads?
I have an associate's in business administration and about a year's worth of classes that can go either to mis or cis. It's time now to finally make a decision and I'm pulling my hair out.

Why would someone who studies information systems take classes on humanities, arts and other irrelevant subjects?
>>1045202
My guess is because being well rounded individual is not a bad thing, but ultimately it's money of course.
I don't mind taking humanities, arts, sciences, etc.
Personally, I think it's quite pathetic when a person only knows their field of work and completely oblivious to everything else. You cannot really converse with this person about anything but his niche interests and his field of work.
help ;;
Let's say I have the very very strong theory that the Chinese economy is going to collapse (specifically the housing market) in the next two or so years and lead to another global recession. What type of stocks should I look at going long on to take advantage of such an event?
>>1044264
I have no idea man, its an interesting question though.
>>1044264
Buy put options in in equities that will drop like a rock when your scenario comes true.
shoes like nike reebok. most poor people around the world have either one pair of shoes or no shoes. the last big growth has brought millions out of poverty. the first thing they buy are shoes. whatch nike during a global recession the demand for shoes will drop.
Why shouldnt I be shorting crude right now?
All of you cynical fucks seem to think it still isnt close to the bottom

Its closer to the bottom than the top now.

How do you know? They could start paying us to get rid of it.
Imagine walking into the petrol station and being handed a tenner. We'll be seen as pioneers before our time.
day late and a dollar short my friend. the idea is to predict the future not react to the past.
Thinking of getting into binary trading, any advice, tips or anything else is should know?

i think i have a basic understanding of how it works and a couple of my friends have gotten into and they've turned out alright with it. I was just wondering if there was anything i could do to better myself for it, either through other peoples personal experience or something who has a better understanding than i do

literally best thing you can do is don't do it
So I've been long contemplating starting my own business. Not interested in something sexy, just something that pays the bills and makes my hard work not contribute to some other assholes pay check. The largest hurdle to me seems to be finding that gap in your market. If you have started your own business, how did you find that gap?
>>1045868
>So I've been long contemplating starting my own business
So, in this thought, you've never thought about what to do?
You realize that comes first, right? The birth of a formal, incorporated, business is derived from necessity. It's not something you do first, it should be an afterthought. The consequence of a good idea.

I have definitely considered many things to do. Renting fences, outsourced clerical work, landscaping, independent consulting, etc. The question is more about how someone has identified the necessity You say having the idea comes first, but I think recognizing the opportunity does, and that's really the question. Starting a business in an over saturated market definitely increases the chance of failure.
Also, obviously someone else is always going to make some money. I was referencing the corporate culture bullshit.
>>1045901
stop overthinking it. find something you think you can make a profit at and do it. dont make a profit? bail. make a profit? run with it.
Any of you nigs ever play around with the winning lottery numbers to see if you could find a pattern?
<spoiler>Did you find anything?</spoiler>

You're literally trying to find a pattern in a random number generator.
