Hi
I meet a billionaire the other days and he really liked me, like we are still talking each other and he told me where to invest on stocks. But the problem is that i'm a student and don't have enough money to invest. How can i take advantages of these informations ? (purely legal informations ) like if someone pays me for the informations can I take commissions or something ?

just use the money from your trust fund to get started, that's what he did
What ?
So I have about 20k USD cash that I don't need in my country's currency (MXN). Which bank should I choose? I was thinking bank of america or IBC(owned by banorte and I can transfer funds from Mexico without any fees). Keep in mind I won't be able to go to the bank in person except for like once or twice a year. I'm also planning on opening an account at interactive brokers.

Nice try, Sinaloa cartel.

I'm just a college student...
ANYONE?
All the Mexicans use BoA since you don't
Need a social security number.
I know where I want to live in the future, and it will cost about $10,000/year to have a high quality life there.
I am able to save $50,000/year working at my current job. I have some assets, but let's say I'm starting from $0. I can save $200,000 in the next four years. I'd need a 5% return to have $10,000/year. At that point, I'd have no normal (W2, 1099, etc.) income so that investment income would have 0% tax.
What kind of investments would consistently yield returns around the 3-5% mark? I know Vanguard, etc. are good for VERY long term...

I'd probably still continue working for a bit even after I've hit the "don't work again" point just to pack more into the investment accounts and have more cash to reinvest over the $10,000. I'd also have the option to work remotely if I wanted to raise money for something (buy a car, etc.).
If I get bored, I can always pursue a hobby or do consulting work, but I'd like to see what I'd do with my time/life if I didn't have to work and had a set daily budget.

186k returning 7% average with 3% reinvested to hedge against inflation would do it
Vanguard etf's

60-40 broad market stock-bond is a ballpark standard retirement allocation.
3-5% is about right. With 5% expect to work occasionally, especially during recessions.
>I know Vanguard, etc. are good for VERY long term investing,
>but I'm looking for something where I can consistently draw a small amount from without having to worry about multi-year recessions and so on.
These statements are contradictory. Retirement for 40 or so years...

"Attention Trump Fans
Many Trumpcoin holders and directors believe Trumpcoin is being seriously damaged by the chaotic management of pajeet dev.
His moderated thread is anti free speech and doesn't accurately reflect the community behind the Trumpcoin Project. He is currently holding the Trump Fund hostage and talking to himself on 6 different accounts. Sad!
He doesn't understand that this project is about the community and about Trump, not just one person....

I just want to be successful. I'm doing everything I can, but I feel like I'm going nowhere in life.
"I'm doing everything I can" he whined desperately at 4chan.
You either need to change your tactics up or stop lying to yourself. Either way.
If you were doing everything you could then you would be going somewhere. It's one or the othet

I want to purchase a small apartment in Reno NV
It's absolutely insane to me that my neighborhood has real estate this cheap:
http://www.trulia.com/property/3232909878-
280-Island-Ave-1106-Reno-NV-89501
Basically it's a 1bdrm 2bath apartment with nice tile floors and a gorgeous view of the Sierras, I was looking through the price history and these apartments were worth around $64,000 back in 2005-06 so they have doubled in value over the last decade. If I was to make a down payment on something like this ($35,000) I would have no shortage of...

property being that low, must be a horrible area
I know it's a pipe dream for most people, myself more than most.
But how feesible do you think it would be to get a job at an IB without a degree but an impressive investment portfolio?
What if you could show that the time you would've spent at uni was used really well investing, learning the trade so to speak
My only other options currently are go to a middle of the table uni (UK), really dedicate myself there and try for LSE for a masters.
I also have a relative at Deutsche bank, which might help a little in terms of not having a degree - if I have something else to show for it.
Don't ask me to show you what I've got because I don't really have enough money to get into it right now, but I do have time
>>1360817
Which uni? What are your A-levels?
>>1360899
Currently applied for Cardiff but don't think I'll get in this year, will have to wait till results day. Thinking about Middlesex since I've heard people from there getting into IB jobs,
Maths, Chemistry and Psychology
>>1360952
What grades did you get?
Lets settle it once and for all: which degree is better overall?
Take into consideration the salaries, work hours, and general job availability when making your decision.
I think that Business degrees are better because most IB jobs ask for a business/finance degree, while fewer jobs ask for an economics degree. What's/biz/'s take?
Please respond
Business curriculum is mostly derived from Economics curriculum, with some specific problem solving skills and bits of other disciplines injected into various sub-disciplines. Economics is also more rigorous.
That said, it all depends: do you want a quick, low effort foot in the door or the chance to dig around under the hood with all that it implies?

What do I do? Should I reinvest? Bitcoins? Alt-coins? Silver? Or should I just use the money for college? Even though I got amazing financial aid and have relatives who will help me pay off any loans I do take?

Thinking of trying to get into solar power in india. Unfortunately I live in the uk...
Any indian bro's think this is a good idea/are interested.
I'd start with indoor toilets first.
>>1360686
im not indian but check to see if there are government subsidies/foreign aid available for this?
the government where i'm from (ontario, canada) subsidizes solar power. it's a long shot, but maybe the indian government is as corrupt as ontario's.
>>1360750
Yeah it does! That's why it's viable. I've crunched the numbers and its actually pretty profitable to do so in the correct states. I just need some insight in how to get started over there.

i found out how to be super rich /biz/. Just study wealthy people, and their actions. Its EZ. Just copy.
I tried doing that but I can't afford to golf with a bunch of old ass people all the time
But then you're always a step behind. You'll never be as rich as them.
If you're looking for someone to emulate, then look up Chris Cowie.
