At UC San Diego there is a joint major of Economics and Math, but I'm not sure if I'm going to go that route. Anyway, how's the Math for economics? Is it all algebra or will I use geometry, trig, and Calculus?

Mathematicians are frequently employed in th Econ. field. Econ. can be as mathematical as you want to make it.

Conventionally algebra and calculus, statistics, graphical solutions. I can think of uses for trig. off the top of my head though.
If you want to do Econ. I highly recommend pairing with mathematics or physics.

Why did the AOL-TimeWarner merger fail?

Pic unrelated. This is probably a bad idea but hear my pitch:
I am able to get a really sweet deal on some new-ish laptops. Older models but still workable (better than what I use for work purposes). I can pull a shitton of these things every fall for a ridiculously low price--about 20% of the retail value for used similar items--for a max of about 7500 per year if I buy out my supplier completely.
I live in the vicinity of one of the top 10 public universities in the US. I know average public college kids are stupid, so I'm thinking of selling these things...

There's a lot of factors here, but generally you'd need to be able to sell for at least 200$ cheaper than the lowest retailer to reliably make money at it. Remember, these are college kids, not printing presses. It will take a lot of work if you want to sell them either way, so try it out with just 1 or 2 laptops first, see how quickly they sell.

So I am taking an International Business course in my senior year of Highschool. Id just like to point out PowerPoint slides my teacher made for our exam review, because of how bullshit his teaching is.

He regularly marks people for having shitty powerpoints, but literally every lesson is like this.
because business is not about knowing proper practices or being innovative, its about remembering specific things. Thats all these lessons are, learning specific things like in Biology
What is the process / calculation called where we evaluate whether a certain technology or asset is worth buying now or whether to wait until the price comes down sufficiently before but before a newer and cheaper technology replacing it.

I've been playing around with fundamental analysis in Python like many people here do. The problem is that I can only find modules that have access to limited fundamentals.
For instance, I can't access things like payout ratios and debt. I'd attempt it manually with Yahoo Finance, but the tags people use to access that stuff don't even exist for payout ratios and debt. The last option seems to be to manually parse some finance/screener site for these additional values, which seems pretty annoying given how these sites change every so often.
